ArmyBengal
Tavon Austin has been discussed pretty much and has his own thread in the draft forum.I for one would be all about him in the first. He would fill a need as a deep threat at the WR spot, the 3rd down RB, and returner.Just look at his stats at all those positions. It really is staggering. The RB numbers suprised the hell out of me.

COB
James Harrison? Maybe they're just trying to lure him into our training facility so they can unleash the Bengals' crack medical staff on him. Get some payback for all those years of cheap shots. Nothing else explains this.

HoosierCat
If they sign Harrison I will throw the remote through Army's TV.Would that be before or after I smash it against the wall and set it to fire in the back yard ??My TV doesn't even know the amount of pain coming its way huh ??It's gonna wish it was the printer in Office Space...[media]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PywI0BOxJpI

volcom69
Two more signings will make me happy. A third, and I am thrilledSigning 1: The Flesh Zeppelin to a one year incentive heavy contract -or- a long 5-6 year contract also heavily incentive laden for absolutely no more than 6m a year average. Incentives must include workouts, OTs, plus medical clearance and weight for each game. The money for incentives must be more than the guaranteed moneyI'd gladly take one of the other two top ORTs (not including McKinnie) in place of FZ at this point, though Signing 2: S Kerry Rhodes for 3-4 years for no more than 2M/yearSigning 3: Karlos Dansby for 2 years for no more than 2M/yearYes I would do the same, these two guys will make this defense that much better! HoosierCat
From the "meh" file: Bengals have reached a deal with C/G Mike Pollack, another former Panther lineman. Provides some depth, we'll see if he makes the final cut.
volcom69
He was a former 2nd round pick and can play both Guard and center, not a bad pick up for depth. Now lets get that safety and LB signed, oh and Smith! That way the bengals can draft best player available!
ArmyBengal
Wait a minute, don't we still have Otis Hudson and Robinson still on the roster ??What about Wharton ??I don't really have thoughts on this guy. Maybe he pushes the bottom of the heap out the door ??

HoosierCat
My man Otis be long gone. There's some speculation that Pollack is here because Wharton's rehab isn't going as well as hoped. Personally I'm not reading anything into it.

ArmyBengal
I actually wanted to see what that kid could do in camp. He's huge and had speed. Oh well, I didn't expect him to stick long term.
HoosierCat
Hobson says they are close to a deal with Browns castoff TE Alex Smith.Oh, and per Ian Rappaport, there is a high level of mutual interest between Cincy and Harrison and the two sides are expected to renew talks this weekend.Bleah. Stripes
Not sure how a 34 year old 3-4 pass rushing backer makes more sense than Dansby, but I suppose the player has to actually be interested in the idea. Whatever, I'm so sick of free agency. Let's get to the effing draft now please. The Bengals have no choice but to be active during that process.
