I’ve been wasting my time talking about to be honest. Oh well… I know what you mean. Mike’s like, “honor your word,” especially if a player has been a good soldier, ie has not complained about the facility, amenities, management, etc. Quote
HoosierCat Posted March 25, 2023 Author Report Posted March 25, 2023 Katie: hey Joe I need you to take a pay cut. Joe: hey Katie I need you to take a hike. Katie: we may have to cut you if you don’t. Joe: I’m sure Traveyon will be a fine starter. Katie walks out, muttering “fuck” under her breath. Quote
ArmyBengal Posted March 25, 2023 Report Posted March 25, 2023 That conversation could go a multitude of ways. Far be it from me to take a guess. Either party could walk away muttering "FUCK" under their breath. However, if I'm the Bengals, it's a conversation that's worth having. Quote
Stripes Posted March 26, 2023 Report Posted March 26, 2023 I'm not 100% convinced that Trayveon wouldn't be as good as Mixon. 1 Quote
ArmyBengal Posted March 26, 2023 Report Posted March 26, 2023 Or Chris Evans if given more than preseason snaps. Quote
TJJackson Posted March 27, 2023 Report Posted March 27, 2023 we do at least know that Captain America can catch now if he can block........ Quote
AMPHAR Posted March 27, 2023 Report Posted March 27, 2023 Lamar indicates he issued a trade request to Baltimore. 1 Quote
COB Posted March 27, 2023 Report Posted March 27, 2023 Dude needs an agent. He’s costing himself millions, possibly tens of millions. 1 Quote
AMPHAR Posted March 27, 2023 Report Posted March 27, 2023 I think Lamar tanked last season. I think that and him giving vibes out that he wants to reinvent himself away from the running game/ running Qb would give teams a bit of heart burn trading typical draft capital and huge QB deal for him. If a team is trading for Lamar Jackson they want the one from his MVP year, not one that's going to try to prove to the world he's a drop back passer. He's never been that and probably never will be. He probably is costing himself some $$$ and certainly screwing Baltimore. Which is fine with me. Trade him to AFC West, so maybe one of those teams can hang a loss on the Chiefs. Quote
HoosierCat Posted March 27, 2023 Author Report Posted March 27, 2023 Worth a shot. Guy has loads of talent but can’t stay healthy. Quote
AMPHAR Posted March 27, 2023 Report Posted March 27, 2023 Trust in Lou type signing. Hopefully there's more CBs coming. Love the fact he is former 2nd rounder. first he's in and out of line ups and now he's on and off of rosters. Quote
HoosierCat Posted March 27, 2023 Author Report Posted March 27, 2023 He was almost certain to be a first rounder before he tore his Achilles at his pro day. Unfortunately that’s proven to be the start of an injury riddled career. Just have to see how it goes. Quote
TJJackson Posted March 27, 2023 Report Posted March 27, 2023 hopefully it is a vetmin contract with incentives for starting or playing time Quote
membengal Posted March 27, 2023 Report Posted March 27, 2023 He is replacing Apple. Stop being sour. He's a great 4th cb and good insurance if Awuzie isn't quite ready. Quote
TJJackson Posted March 27, 2023 Report Posted March 27, 2023 Not being sour at all, actually a player with bigtime injury history like this should get a contract that provides incentives for health I'd still like to sign both Apple and Flowers even after this signing Quote
AMPHAR Posted March 27, 2023 Report Posted March 27, 2023 Hopefully they get Apple type results because this one is clearly "trust in Lou". I still hope Apple is back along with Flowers and maybe some CB draft pick. Quote
Stripes Posted March 27, 2023 Report Posted March 27, 2023 Works for me. It occurred to me last night that the CB room isn't in bad shape. Awuzie, Taylor-Britt, and Hilton is already a solid starting unit. Apple and Flowers would be valuable depth, and Jones doesn't take away from the quality of the depth. Cool. Quote
ArmyBengal Posted March 27, 2023 Report Posted March 27, 2023 First, I love that Jackson is now requesting a trade from Baltimore. He's a dumbass and he's totally screwing the Ravens at this point in time. I love it all, please keep up what you guys are doing Baltimore !!! Sidney Jones... I remember that dude coming out of Washington and his projections were through the fucking roof. Loved the kid. and his injury, while bad, wouldn't have kept me from drafting him. Things haven't worked out that way for him, but I believe in what I've seen from guys like Apple, that he could make all of those projections become a reality in this defense with Lou as a coach. This is his best shot at regaining what he's lost. I really like this signing. Quote
COB Posted March 27, 2023 Report Posted March 27, 2023 Is that The Muffin Man playing in the background of that vid? 1 Quote
