  1. Maybe it’s because when they’re on the tube the broadcast goes: 1. Shot of Stafford throwing a pass. Announcer says Stafford is great and that he, the announcer, personally loves Stafford. 2. Close up shot of the Rams coach, he’s wearing a child’s medium size shirt. His head weighs 35 pounds. 3. Shot of Stafford passing, announcer loves Stafford. 4. Close up of Rams coach, who has changed shirts to a child’s small. 5. Shot of Stafford passing… repeat ad nauseum.
  2. Wow! These divisional games look really great. These 4 are usually the best weekend of nfl football, in my opinion. Chiefs vs Texans - great young QB vs whatever the chiefs are. Great game. Commanders vs Lions - Another great young QB, facing the feel good story of the last couple years. But the Lions are riddled with injury. Great game. Rams vs Eagles - Boring as hell. Ravens vs Bills - The league saved this one for last. It’s basically Ali/Frazier. The two best quarterbacks left in the playoffs, they are also the funnest QBs to watch. And it’s in Buffalo, which can be fun. Hopefully no one gets hurt (in the parking lot before the game).
  3. Sam Darnold’s agent has to be jumping off a bridge somewhere. Dude was in line to make 40 million a year, now he’s absolutely blown it in these last two games.
  4. Commander fans really went through it with that weird owner. They’ve got to be thrilled how quickly this whole thing turned around for them.
  5. On the Washington vs Tampa bay game, they showed the Washington defense introducing themselves, then Mike Tirico said the following about the Washington defense: ”8 new starters, much improved. Easily the worst defense in the nfl last year. Much better this year.” There is hope!
  6. You are correct, he basically is Marvin 2.0. He’s keeping them in purgatory, can’t be great, can’t be bad enough to get a great draft pick. Keep picking 22nd every year or whatever it is. Tomlin will be back next year. There are many more cliches to be spouted and mean mugging to be done on the sideline. Also he needs to keep that “no losing seasons” streak alive (it hangs like a millstone around Pittsburgh’s neck), and continue these glorious first round playoff exits.
  7. Now that their offense did something, Watt is having like ten pounds of tape put on his elbow. Ready to go!
  8. Steelers offense goes 98 yards, scores a touchdown. 21-7.
  9. Watt is quitting. Didn’t play the first defensive series of the second half. He’s on the sideline, but he’s grimacing, appears to be some type of injury (bruised ego).
  10. Ravens ran the ball 15 times in a row. In the 2nd quarter.
  11. Steelers getting trucked. 14-0, Ravens running it down their throats.
  12. You’d hear media guys saying he was equal to or better than Burrow. Never again. The Steelers look gross. Ravens went 95 yards with their first possession for a td. TJ Watt can be seen between plays buying steroids in bulk.
  13. Agreed, both sides with huge mistakes, mental errors, etc.
  14. Watching the Texans game, I’m going to watch the Ravens/Steelers game tonight. So far CJ Stroud looks way better than he did earlier in the year. He’s extremely accurate. Mixon is making some huge mistakes. Harbaugh sporting his trademark SMHO look - (Stupified, Mouth Hanging Open).
  15. Same. In fact I scratch my head when I see all these coordinators touted as hot head coach prospects. It’s a different job and there are about a million examples of good coordinators who just couldn’t make the transition to HC. There is a school of thought that special teams coaches make very good HC candidates because they see and monitor the whole game. They understand situational football, because they are always dealing with the consequences of it. John Harbaugh was a special teams guy and is a good head coach. If Eberflus can do here what he did in Indy, he’d be a huge success.
  16. This dude just showed up on social media as being considered. Jeremy Fowler tweeted that Eberflus is “involved” in the DC search. Eberflus meets some of the criteria Zac listed. He wants someone experienced. Eberflus did a very good job stepping into a similar situation at the Colts. I’ll just copy and paste a few lines from his wiki: “Eberflus was credited with instilling an "ultra-demanding culture of hustle, discipline and teamwork"[10] that ultimately helped turn the Colts around from a 4–12 team in 2017 to a 10–6 playoff team, reaching the AFC Divisional Playoff Round. Inheriting a defense that finished No. 30 in the NFL in both scoring defense (25.2 points allowed per game) and total defense (367.1 yards allowed per game) in 2017, Eberflus turned the defense around in just one season, to rank No. 10 in scoring defense (21.5 points allowed per game) and No. 11 in total defense (339.4 yards allowed per game) in 2018.”
  17. I think it’s up to Hendrickson. If his agent wants to pound the table and lean on this season’s sack lead, then I could see him getting traded. If the bengals need money look at Hubbard, Cappa, and Sheldon Rankins. They could easily cut all 3 of those guys and free up some major cash. I don’t know where they’ll find a starting guard and a rotational d-end.
  18. Let’s see: falls asleep in meetings, doesn’t bother to learn the playbook, no show/no calls to a walkthrough before what was to be his big breakout game, gets evicted from his home, and gets into a police-involved altercation with his girl. Drug problem, alcohol problem, or a personality disorder that renders him an irredeemable idiot. Doesn’t really matter which, this dude should be unceremoniously cut.
  19. Raiders are going to ask Tom Brady who they should hire. It is unbelievable to me the way both Fox football and Mark Davis have genuflected to this dude. He was a good quarterback, that’s it. He’s a mediocre announcer, Fox paid him $375 million before he even called one game. Mark Davis is supposedly going to put great weight on Brady’s recommendation. What does Brady know about all these coaching candidates? Probably not much.
  20. Supposedly Zac offered the DC job to Dennis Allen way back when, was turned down, and then hired Lou. Allen has a track record as a successful DC. Other than that, I don’t know anything about him other than he’s on Army’s “Do Not Want” list.
  21. Lions for the NFC. For the AFC? I know we’re supposed to hate teams in our division, but I like watching Lamar play. Texans and Ravens. Would be great to see Pittsburgh just completely fall on their faces. Get blown out. Tomlin will have to fire off 100 cliches in the post season presser. Hopefully the Chargers’ team bus will fall off a bridge somewhere on their way to the stadium in Houston. Harbaugh is not what he claims to be.
  22. Supposedly Saleh is well respected as a defensive coordinator. The last time Zac hired a DC and offensive line coach, the jobs weren’t super attractive. We should have the best DC candidates in the league lining up to take this DC job. Just get our defense up to average and you are on a Super Bowl candidate team. The last guy who had this job was getting constantly glossed for head coaching jobs on tv. Will be a deep pool of high level guys this time. They better get a good one.
  23. I’m shocked by these firings. 1. the defense. The status quo wasn’t an option I guess. Can’t fire the whole defensive roster, so goodbye coach. 2. Pollack benefited a ton from following Jim Turner who, along with the team’s 6-25-1 record while he was handling the line, distinguished himself as one of the least likable people in the nfl, and that’s saying something. Guys with legitimate nfl careers were retiring off the bengals rather than play for Turner. Pollack is a decent human being and had 5 years here and he was never Jim Turner the whole time he was here. Best of luck to you Frank Pollack and thank you.
  24. Bengals can never win a Super Bowl? Let me jump in my Time Machine, look we were a couple plays away from winning one a few years ago.
