Sounds like they will be elevating Prince for this one game as an apparent better matchup against the Bills LDE

Bengals roster says Prince is 15 pounds lighter than Adeniji, FWIW

I kinda like that we have 2 decent options here.....as long as both are active, we can pull the chosen starter if he is underwhelming and see if the other can do better.  Either can be swing, and either can also be the 6th OL in the heavy packages

I expect some frustrating plays and/or sacks given-up, etc.., but they won with worse last year this time.

I’m sure you guys have all read the same thing - Adeniji is the more athletic guy, pretty good movement.  But Prince is just better at dropping anchor and this Buffalo dude is a bull rush specialist.

Encouraging to me that they’re willing to shuffle guys based on need and abilities.  Use the right tool for the job!

They have made it clear from draft day onward that they value versatility, and that extends to the coaches and the gameplans. It’s another example if adaptability. I just hope it works. I like Prince vs. Rousseau a lot more than I would Prince vs. Von Miller.

Some Bengals veterans (e.g., Boyd and Mixon) have been making some blatant comments about the Bills defense to the media that aren't necessarily "insulting", but will clearly be taken as bulletin board material in the same way Brady's "fairly tough defense" was.

I'm not necessarily mad about it. Just make sure you cash every check you write. I don't know to what extent (if any) it's deliberate, but I could see the Bills being an ideal team to challenge in this way. They're the ones stuck under the hump with something to prove, and it could be easier to get in their heads that way -- not all that different from the Palmer/Dalton Bengals sans the utter postseason failure.

If you truly think you are the “Big Dog” in the AFC, Mixon, then that means there’s no reason to open your stupid mouth. That kind of talk does NOT Intimidate another team, it only can serve to motivate them.

So pulling for the Steelers (gross) and the Broncos today. Anything else that would help I’m missing?

That’s about it. I’ll also root for the Chargers I guess. I’d prefer they win out and take the 5-seed, so the Bengals avoid them in the first round.

From the “who do you want the Bengals to face in the first round” perspective, I could also root for the Jets. I think they’d be the best 7-seed to host over the Dolphins or Patriots if the Bengals get the 2-seed (but all three should be favorable anyway).

I’ll be rooting for Cleveland since every win pushes them further down in the dra…oh wait, that’s right. HA HA HA! Suck it, Clowns!

I know they're playing the Texans, but man, the Jags have been on a roll lately.

up 21-0 on Houston

I honestly dont know if I'd prefer them as an opponent over the Chiefs or the Bills given the way they are playing right now

(and I know that wouldnt happen as things stand in round 1 of the playoffs, but round 2, maybe)

It's entirely possible if the Bengals fail to win the AFC North. They'd be the 5-seed and probably play the wild card round in Jacksonville.
