  1. Yep.
  2. Highest paid player in NFL history. 219 million guaranteed.
  3. Excellent, my front gutter is lined packed with pine needles.
  4. Grier backed up none other than Jeff Driskel at Florida.
  5. Hard to accept that the Jeff Gunter era has come to an end, but accept it we must.
  6. Michael Thomas released. Hopefully he can hit the practice squad.
  7. How’d Brad Robbins look last night? I was on the road, couldn’t see the game.
  8. The kind of trade that gets people fired.
  9. Man there goes a second round pick. At least the Bengals seem to miss on way fewer high picks than most teams.
  10. I was driving and listened to it on the radio. Lap is a regional treasure. 2 points - sounds like they’ve determined a number 2 at quarterback. And from what I heard, there was only one injury, free agent got wobbled, helped off the field.
  11. Moving my daughter into an apartment in Austin (grad school at Texas), just tonight we had Roppolo’s, this place just west of campus on Guadalupe Street. Really good, can recommend it if you’re ever down here.
  12. I’ve been thinking the same thing - Burrow won’t play until calf is healed AND new deal is in place.
  13. Jamar Chase in mid season form - already had to get a restraining order against a crazy lady stalker.
  14. Week 1 will be telling. We started so slowly last year. 0-3 in the division. I’d like to see some improvement. The O line starting out strong would be a huge help. Burrow was running for his life in early games the last couple years. I’m not saying they should dominate Myles Garrett. Just don’t get completely destroyed by him.
  15. Lap said this is the best offensive line we’ve had in ten years, he was quite encouraging in his comments. Orlando Brown Jr - he came off as one of the smartest guys I’ve heard interviewed. His comments about Frank Pollack seemed genuine and were very positive. They were a legitimate counter to my negative comments recently. There is debate as to who is in a better position to evaluate our offensive line coach, me or Orlando Brown Jr.
  16. They interviewed Zack Taylor, OC Callahan, Lamar Chase, Sam Hubbard, Duke Tobin, Myles Murphy, and Orlando Brown Jr.
  17. If you have Sirius, Lap and Wilcots are doing the nfl radio training camp show on the bengals right now. Just started.
  18. Our boy is out there chucking’ the pigskin with no brace or sleeve on his calf. Sorry AFC North, shit’s about to get real!
  19. I love watching the newly drafted guys play.
  20. Pre season game? The way the game is today, some of the guys battling for a depth spot on the roster will end up starting meaningful end of season games, or even post season games.
  21. I don’t feel like a total downer. I’m super excited about this season, it’s a serious window. I’m not going to predict this or that, but man, we’re looking pretty damn good. Having said all that - we had Super Bowl winning potential the last two years. In both the Super Bowl game and last year’s AFC championship game, we had what I thought was the better overall team. But in both those games the o line basically couldn’t hang. Even with an average o-line, we win both those games. I think the bengals agree, based on their acquisition of Orlando Brown. Pollack put his trust in Jonah at left tackle and moving him to right is a tacit admission that that trust was misplaced. So when I read Pollack singing the praises of Jonah at right, I am not enthusiastic, put it that way. It would be amazing if Jonah can be a mid level right tackle. We need him to be that.
  22. He could be out for days, weeks, months, who knows?
  23. If I recall correctly, that name was kind of a temporary name for a long time contributor, Kingwilly. He lived in California, was a good dude. Loved football, loved the bengals.
