  1. Regarding new Browns wideout Jerry Jeudy. This is a summation of his ‘23 season, it’s from his wiki: “Jeudy finished the season with 758 yards and 2 touchdowns in 16 games played. His 62.1% catch rate was the lowest since his rookie year. [49] His catch rate was just 143rd among qualified receivers. [50]” The brain trust up in the Mistake just gave this dude sixty million bucks, 40 of it guaranteed. I’m looking forward to watching him drop passes for the next three years. Also, his agent deserves an award.
  2. Insane. They’ve lost their marbles.
  3. The Steelers’ apparent infatuation with Wilson is baffling. I’d love it if they signed Russ long term and dumped Fields. The broncos and Peyton just took on 85 million in dead money against the cap to get rid of Russel Wilson. His teammates in Seattle pretty much hated him. It kind of feels like Tomlin has entered his Marvin Lewis era - so tired of coaching that he only wants vets (who don’t need much coaching), and young player development suffers greatly as a result.
  4. Agreed. He’s got a lot of miles on him, then signs of decline (specifically very untimely drops) showed up. Could he end up back with us on a team friendly deal?
  5. Also, the Steelers got Patrick Queen. It’s sickening.
  6. He’s good, unfortunately. He’s really big, physical, can and does run the ball. He’s hard to get on the ground. It’s just bad that he’s ending up in Pittsburgh.
  7. Supposedly Justin Fields to the Steelers. This is not good.
  8. Best of luck to Joe going forward. He was really good here.
  9. 3rd round picks can turn into multi year starters. At least we could get a player out of losing Bates.
  10. Hate to see Mixon leave, but it was becoming inevitable. He’s not what he was, but several times a year he shows up on Sunday and is a straight up beast. Zack Moss is not ion that level. But truthfully neither is Mixon most of the time.
  11. Russel Wilson to the Steelers. Possibly the worst fit as a free agent I’ve ever seen.
  12. I don’t get it. Jerry Jeudy has not looked good any time I’ve seen him play in the nfl. College was different. Just the Browns being the Browns I guess.
  13. Now rumors are flying that the nfl screwed up their calculations and the Jessie bates compensatory pick should be a 3rd.
  14. Dawn creeps up on night. The slightest hint of daylight reveals a world shrouded in mist. Wait, is that movement I see? Out of the gloaming, here it comes, /skrillix drop/ THE ROOKIE POOL appears!
  15. If I have a number 7-10 draft pick and the bengals are willing to give up Tee Higgins for that pick. I’d jump on it. High draft picks turn out to be good players, great players, mediocre players, and some bust. Higgins is a known quantity, he’s very good. Assuming you find his health to be promising, I’d gladly give up the pick that has the potential to be anywhere from bust to HOF for a very good player who’s still young and has 7 or 8 years left. 2017, pick 9 = John Ross 2017, pick 10 = Patrick Mahomes You can’t be sure what you’re getting. Higgins, assuming you have the money for a 4 or 6 year deal, is a no brainer if the bengals would take a 7-10 pick in the draft. I don’t think the Bengals would take a draft pick. Let’s say someone offers us a top 3-5 rated tackle in the league, and he’ll agree to a 4 year deal. I’d do that.
  16. Just say no to these old tight ends looking to sign a deal then jump on IR for most of the season. No. Tight end is a brutal position. Guys fall off a cliff after a few years of blocking defensive ends and getting drilled by linebackers and safeties. There are rare exceptions but - rare. Even Gronk, who still had it, decided the punishment wasn’t worth it anymore.
  17. Dude tore his Achilles while here, then hurt his mcl last year in week 13 with the Jets. He’d be depth at best. I think he had like 8 catches last year.
  18. Broncos to cut Wilson, take an 85 million dollars dead money hit over two years. I don’t remember anyone taking that big a dead money charge, ever. So let’s say they decide to split it pretty evenly, 42.5 million per year against the cap. AND they gave up two firsts and two seconds to get Wilson. Which means they’re 1. Short on cap space and 2. Don’t have 4 high picks they could have on price controlled rookie deals. Payton better be a genius at selecting mid to low level free agents.
