  1. I think it’s up to Hendrickson. If his agent wants to pound the table and lean on this season’s sack lead, then I could see him getting traded. If the bengals need money look at Hubbard, Cappa, and Sheldon Rankins. They could easily cut all 3 of those guys and free up some major cash. I don’t know where they’ll find a starting guard and a rotational d-end.
  2. Let’s see: falls asleep in meetings, doesn’t bother to learn the playbook, no show/no calls to a walkthrough before what was to be his big breakout game, gets evicted from his home, and gets into a police-involved altercation with his girl. Drug problem, alcohol problem, or a personality disorder that renders him an irredeemable idiot. Doesn’t really matter which, this dude should be unceremoniously cut.
  3. Raiders are going to ask Tom Brady who they should hire. It is unbelievable to me the way both Fox football and Mark Davis have genuflected to this dude. He was a good quarterback, that’s it. He’s a mediocre announcer, Fox paid him $375 million before he even called one game. Mark Davis is supposedly going to put great weight on Brady’s recommendation. What does Brady know about all these coaching candidates? Probably not much.
  4. Supposedly Zac offered the DC job to Dennis Allen way back when, was turned down, and then hired Lou. Allen has a track record as a successful DC. Other than that, I don’t know anything about him other than he’s on Army’s “Do Not Want” list.
  5. Lions for the NFC. For the AFC? I know we’re supposed to hate teams in our division, but I like watching Lamar play. Texans and Ravens. Would be great to see Pittsburgh just completely fall on their faces. Get blown out. Tomlin will have to fire off 100 cliches in the post season presser. Hopefully the Chargers’ team bus will fall off a bridge somewhere on their way to the stadium in Houston. Harbaugh is not what he claims to be.
  6. Supposedly Saleh is well respected as a defensive coordinator. The last time Zac hired a DC and offensive line coach, the jobs weren’t super attractive. We should have the best DC candidates in the league lining up to take this DC job. Just get our defense up to average and you are on a Super Bowl candidate team. The last guy who had this job was getting constantly glossed for head coaching jobs on tv. Will be a deep pool of high level guys this time. They better get a good one.
  7. I’m shocked by these firings. 1. the defense. The status quo wasn’t an option I guess. Can’t fire the whole defensive roster, so goodbye coach. 2. Pollack benefited a ton from following Jim Turner who, along with the team’s 6-25-1 record while he was handling the line, distinguished himself as one of the least likable people in the nfl, and that’s saying something. Guys with legitimate nfl careers were retiring off the bengals rather than play for Turner. Pollack is a decent human being and had 5 years here and he was never Jim Turner the whole time he was here. Best of luck to you Frank Pollack and thank you.
  8. Bengals can never win a Super Bowl? Let me jump in my Time Machine, look we were a couple plays away from winning one a few years ago.
  9. This year was the definition of the dead cat bounce. Probably saved Lou’s job, we’ll see.
  10. For god’s sakes, Turd Ferguson has a family.
  11. Currently 38-0, Broncos over the Chiefs. Andy Reid did not take his responsibility (to get us into the playoffs) seriously.
  12. Stefansky was a good play caller, Dorsey was not that good. And it seems there was something about their quarterback.
  13. Even KC’s field goal kicker is in the tank. Misses one, it remains 21-0.
  14. Was it over when the Germans bombed Pearl Harbor?
  15. If I coached an nfl team I wouldn’t let Aaron Rogers anywhere near my young players. I wouldn’t put him on my roster under any circumstances.
  16. These bums on KC’s defense are phoning it in. Correction, they don’t look like they’d even bother to pick up the phone.
  17. Losing both games now. But Aaron Rogers is a champion!
  18. Bitterness. Regret. Helplessness. No, this thread is not about my second marriage. It’s about these two games wherein we’ll be forced to endure 100 truck ads, and 100 ads for those new prescription drugs that will somehow make us not fat anymore. But when we come out the other end we’ll know if the mighty 2024 Cincinnati Bengals will be in the playoffs.
  19. The only good thing about Bill Cowher’s announcing is that he doesn’t pretend to be smart in any way shape or form.
  20. The above stats were published by Jay Morrison on SI’s website. He writes for them, and I kind of just discovered his writing. It’s good. I listened to him on Paul Dehner’s YouTube thing last night then looked him up. In his old twitter bio or something he refers to himself as an “Arby’s Superfan,” so, he’s a righteous sort of person.
  21. Weird stats from the game last night- TJ Watt had zero sacks, zero tackles, zero assists, zero pressures. He didn’t even show up on the defensive stat sheet. First time that’s happened to TJ in 120 career starts. Cody Ford, utility guy for our line and new love interest of Troy Aikman, blocked Watt into irrelevance (yes with a little help). The last time Cody (we’re in a first name basis now), made a start at right tackle? His rookie year, 2019, in our playoff game against the Texans when he was lined up against JJ Watt, TJ’s older brother.
  22. Agreed on Burrow applying pressure. He’s watched several good players just walk out the door, then observed their drafted or cheaper FA replacements struggle. It’s a pattern.
  23. Both games are 4:25 pm games tomorrow. And according to the nfl tv maps I could find, both games will be broadcast in Ohio, one on Fox, one on CBS.
  24. Just feels good to beat the Steelers, the circumstances don’t matter to me. I know who the luckiest team in the NFL is right now - whatever team draws Pittsburgh in the first round of the playoffs.
  25. Damn, breaking stat records all over the place, leading the league in various offensive numbers. Then there’s 1. Our defense and 2. Our end of game management.
