  1. So from the article posted by Hoosier yesterday, I pulled who we should be rooting for this weekend and some comments: Patriots (3-11) at Broncos (7-7): Patriots Jaguars (8-6) at Buccaneers (7-7): Buccaneers Bills (8-6) at Chargers (5-9): Chargers Browns (9-5) at Texans (8-6): Texans Colts (8-6) at Falcons (6-8): Falcons Raiders (6-8) at Chiefs (9-5): Raiders
  2. I'm hoping all these injuries to key people, yet getting success, helps all see that it's truly not just one guy and they need to be open minded moving forward. Obviously the o-line has been 100 times better running more screen plays and getting a more balanced offense. It seems (I could be wrong) that Burrow has had a lot of influence in how they ran previously. Maybe they all have their eyes opened and realize how much more efficient Burrow could be if things were more balanced. Screen plays, moving players around more, and involving more than a few guys, all would help keep opposing defenses from getting comfortable. Keep mixing it up. It looks like the players are having fun with all the changes as well.
  3. A DT early in the draft was always a spot I thought would be addressed anyway, as I didn't expect them to resign Reader. Tupou looks like the next man up and he's been a solid backup. I expect Tufele to be a part of the rotation replacing Reader's loss. Either way, those guys are going to be busy. I honestly don't think it will be a bad thing when considering what we've seen to this point. Replacing Ja'Marr is another story, but yes, I would expect more of Irwin and the rookies to make a combined effort to fill that gap. That and Tanner Hudson has been really efficient with his targets, so incorporate him and screen passes to the RB's to a greater degree. I've said it a bunch as well. I went from "Lose them all" to "This is a lot of fun". I enjoy tracking the other teams in the mix and watching all the games over the weekend. Really rooting for Browning, who obviously took issue with getting cut by the Vikings and is proving people (me included) wrong. Good stuff !!!
  4. COB, don’t forget about the inexplicable large amount of size XXXL leopard print women’s underwear…
  5. I thought I put the Steeler and Broncos in my post, but it's all good and yes, right behind us. A loss this weekend won't be a death blow, but that would be an awful big hole to get out of.
  6. From the article: To that I give a resounding.... GOOD !!! Yes COB, let the spiral continue. It's glorious !!!
  7. We are currently in the 6th slot, the Colts in the 7th, with the Texans and Bills 8th and 9th respectively. All of us have the same 8-6 record. The Browns are only a game ahead of us at 9-5 and that is out last game of the season. That may very well be a "Win or go home" game and we are playing at home, which makes me feel good. I know they need to focus on this week and beating the Steelers, but I'm thinking they need some help as well. I simply don't see them going into KC and getting the win. They might surprise me and the Chiefs might underestimate them, but still. I'm thinking (hoping) they go 2-1 and get some help along the way. Browns have: Texans, Jets, Bengals Colts have: Falcons, Raiders, Texans Texans have: Browns, Titans, Colts Bills have: Chargers, Patriots, Dolphins It's not inconceivable to think we all go 2-1 over the last 3 weeks and end up in the same spot. I don't know, but it's going to be fun watching this all unfold !!!
  8. Browning off kilter !!! LOVE IT !!!
  9. I will root for whatever team I must if it helps the Bengals. Except the Steelers because fuck them.
  10. Patriots over the CHIEFS Baltimore over the Jaguars Bears over the BROWNS Titans over the TEXANS COLTS over the Steelers LIONS over the Broncos So now 2-3 after the early games. SHIT !!!
  11. Just looked and see that here in Cincinnati we get the Bears game early and then the Cowboys game late afternoon. Of course the Sunday night game with the Ravens. All impact us. Shaping up to be a fun day of watching football !!!
  12. So far we are 2 for 2 on this wish list. I have to be honest and admit that while I would rather have Burrow and be amped about the team, this is pretty enjoyable. Typically I wouldn’t sit around and really focus on all the other games the way I am now. Fun !!
  13. For those keeping up with the other teams that it would be good if they lost… The Texans are starting Case Keenum, instead of David Mills. While the Texans are my #2 team and I root for them 99% of the time, I’m hoping they take the “L” !!!
  14. Who’s this LaPorta guy you all keep talking about? 3 TD’s? Pffffft…
  15. Rooting for Titans and Cowboys.
  16. Yeah, not surprised either.
  17. Have to love the media. They always seem to have their thumb on the pulse of what's REALLY going on.
  18. Here is the video they put out about the Bears new stadium if you haven't seen it. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PB-Svx85Uxc
  19. Christmas parties start tonight for us, so I will dedicate one of my bourbons to her tonight !!!
  20. 2042 huh? So the stadium is expected to last 42+ years at that point? I have no issue with that, because Riverfront, which was built in 1970, lasted 30. However, with the push for newer and newer stadiums, that surprises me a little. I remember watching, what the Bears wanted to do with their new stadium and how it incorporates into the city infrastructure. I couldn't help but think that would be something cool for them to do here with the banks and maybe incorporate the street car. Then there's the whole gambling aspect that, as much as I don't like it, is here to stay and could be part of this in a larger way. Build with the whole city involved and get the draft and more sporting events involved. Really love outdoor games, but maybe a dome is in the best interest of the whole city. I will be 72 in 2042, so what do I care?
  21. There are four teams sitting at 7-6, along with our Bengals, but currently sitting above us in the playoff rankings. Steelers and Colts are currently the 6th and 7th seeds. Texans and Broncos are the first two out, then us in the 10 hole. Also of interest are the Bills sitting at 7-6 right after us. There are 3 teams at 8-5: Chiefs, Jaguars and Browns. So this weekend, outside of rooting for the Bengals (duh), we should be rooting for: Patriots over the Chiefs (nope) Baltimore over the Jaguars (yep) Bears over the Browns (maybe) Colts over the Steelers (maybe) Titans over the Texans (maybe) Lions over the Broncos (yep) Someone has to win the Colts Steelers game and we beat the Colts and still have to play the Steelers again, so give me the Colts in that one. Again, crazier things have happened.
  22. Odd, I get that and don’t even play football.
