  1. On a side note, while could care less if people smoke weed, I don’t care for the smell. Honestly it gives me a headache. That being said, you can’t walk around anywhere down there without being overwhelmed by that smell. If it’s not that, it was the insane amount of drunks. The lady next to me brought in a bottle of crown and proceeded to kill it between her and her friend. Two wasted drunk bitches that were so obnoxious, my son was asking me if he could punch them in the face. Anyway, outside of them losing, that the worst experience I’ve had in the stadium in quite some time.
  2. For some reason I agree with that Hoosier. Well… assuming Burrow plays and isn’t gimping around the whole time. If he doesn’t play, I wasted money to see them get blasted.
  3. The refs absolutely sucked ass in this game. I don’t usually bitch about them, but the amount of holding the Ravens got away with was ridiculous. Shit penalties all around. Get more creative running the fucking ball. Drive the ball downfield more or at least try. That last TD drive was absolutely ridiculous. Down 10 and no sense of urgency AGAIN. Sure they got the TD, but they ran the clock and left themselves in a bad spot. Like hurry the fuck up and pretend the clock is running Zac. Thank you Chuck Sizzle. That 81 yard return for a TD was great !!
  4. Well… AJ Green officially retired as a Bengal, signing a one day deal and he’s the ruler of the Jungle for the home opener today. My son and I are headed down and will be yelling and cheering like crazy !! WHODEY !!!
  5. Agree completely Hoosier. It was suppose to be a cellar-dweller kind of season and here they are still in the mix with two weeks remaining. The fact they have done that largely with rookies at damn near every position speaks highly of the future of this team. YES, pitching. Get it however you can. Just get it and watch GABP sell out all season long as they continue to contend in the future. I wonder if ownership has pulled their heads out of their asses about the franchise being capable of profitability? Amazing how putting a winning product on the field directly correlates with butts in seats and merch sales.
  6. They should have NEVER went away from Mixon and the other RB's in that game. You have a QB that got ZERO snaps in a preseason game, playing with some new players on his side of the ball. On top of that, they were playing on the road and it was fucking raining. How was running the ball a fuckload NOT the plan? I have no idea what to think of Irv Smith. I mean he hasn't had any time to build chemistry with Burrow, so I will reserve judgement for now. He was targeted 5 times and caught 3. None of those were particularly inspirational, but then again, who was inspirational last week? I'm inclined to believe that relationship on the field will improve as well. Hurst had 52 catches for 414 yards and 2 TD's. More than enough time to eclipse that production.
  7. That wasn't a game. It was a walk through. THAT WENT HORRIBLY BAD.
  8. Well, just when I thought the Reds were going to fade out of contention, they get India and Votto back, along with a solid start from another rookie pitcher. With another win last night, they are now tied for the last wild card spot and are still firmly in a position to get into the playoffs with just over two weeks to go.
  9. I have no real feel for how well the team has done going through practice this week or what has or hasn't been worked on. My only real hope at this time is that the injuries suffered by the Ravens to key positions help the Bengals get their shit together and win. That and whatever the effect of home field advantage is on the team, which I don't downplay. So if the injuries don't hurt the Ravens and the team doesn't respond to the sold out house, the Bengals lose again. Hell, they might lose again even if the injuries hurt the Ravens and the sold out house is a factor. They really played like shit last week and I'm not sure they can fix all that stupid in one week.
  10. At least the weather is suppose to be amazing.
  11. Coach Zac spoke about Collins' release, alludes to nothing more than there's not a great time to release someone and it sucks. Only way he's not better depth than either Smith or Jackson is if he's hurt.
  12. Hard to say really. It will be interesting to see what come out. Maybe he wanted out, maybe his knee is done, maybe the Bengals are going to use the saved money to extend Higgins, maybe anything… The timing is the thing I’m left confused with.
  13. If he was going to be ready to go, I would have thought they would hold onto him considering o-line and all. That being said, they do get some coin back with his release and maybe that plays a part in working future contracts.
  14. Not only was he not ready to start the season, he’s now no longer with the team. https://www.nbcsports.com/nfl/profootballtalk/rumor-mill/news/bengals-release-lael-collins-off-pup-list
  15. That's a load of starters injured and probably not playing Sunday for the Ravens. Their loss on that front hopefully contributes to a W in the win column for us. No one cares when they beat an injured Bengals team, so there's no F*cks given in return. BEAT THE RAVENS
  16. With DT, TE and WR being obvious targets in 2024, those players and matchups should be interesting. I love watching college football so much on Saturdays. Literally an all day event with multiple games on at the same time.
  17. Just saw where this also impacted the Packers, as they are due to get a 2024 draft pick depending on if Rodgers had played 65% of the snaps this year. Had he done that, the pick would have been a 1st rounder. Now that he's out, the Packers get a 2nd rounder in 2024 instead.
  18. I don't like to see guys get injured like that. While not being either a Jets or Rodgers fan, as a football fan I was curious to see how that was going to play out. When considering the pieces they have added to the roster and what I believe to be a solid head coach, Rodgers could have been that piece that pushed them into the playoffs and maybe more. Zach Wilson? Nope, nothing inspiring there.
  19. I didn’t watch the Sunday night game… Here’s something “I think I saw” in the game, but will readily admit that it may not be what it appeared to be. Instead of saying this is what it is, I’ll simply ask you all… While watching the defense play, I could have sworn that at least 4-5 times throughout the game it appeared Dax Hill was avoiding contact. Like he saw where to go, but instead of going to the contact, veered off let it play out. Just curious if anyone else had that perspective or not…
  20. As always, can’t forget the cap will also increase over the years as well. There’s a way to get it done, but I don’t like what I perceive to be the cost. That cost is surely going to come at the expense of the defensive side of the ball.
  21. If there is no long term deal for Higgins, there is no way they simply let him walk next year. He will definitely get the tag and then cross that bridge the following year (see him leaving). That provides them the opportunity to find another high end WR in the next two drafts. I don't buy that the two WR's taken this season are his replacement either. Hate this though, because him walking related to a 3rd round comp pick. God knows he's worth FAR more than that.
  22. It's 5 O'clock somewhere PacMan !!
  23. I really don't think the loss of Dobbins impacts the Ravens at all. Dude missed more than half the season last year and they were still in it. Staley and Williams are a bigger concern for the Ravens as I don't think much of their depth in those areas. That being said, if the Bengals don't overhaul the shit show that took place yesterday, it won't matter. This game looks like a loss pretty much however I look at it. Maybe not wanting to get embarrassed in their home opener provides some motivation. They didn't seem to care about going 0-1, so 0-2 probably won't move the needle much. "Well, we did that last year, so who cares?"
  24. Nope Watson was not good for the Browns yesterday and he didn't need to be. They just ran the ball for 200+ yards on a defense that gave up an average of 100 all of last season. That simply can't happen on a rainy day when you know your QB is probably going to struggle. Burrow struggled. That might be an understatement. He looked completely out of sync with all of it. While I expected some of that to a degree, not to the level of what we saw. Really disappointed in that. When going back and watching how little urgency the entire team seemed to have, it's almost as if they approached it with the thought of a preseason game. They were just out there to run plays and get everyone comfortable with getting hit and mixing it up again since the AFC Championship game. Zero urgency or concern with having zero urgency. They better hope the injuries really take their toll on Baltimore, because that's a loss waiting to happen. The season isn't over by any stretch, but getting out to a fast start and not having to worry about seeding in the last few weeks is again going to be a concern.
  25. I watched without much care to the loss. Neither the offense or defense looked good and they lost. Not even upset by the outcome.
