  1. I agree with you there Hoosier. Maybe they didn’t think Ossai’s injury was that severe at the time and made the decision they had to make. Just looked and nothing new on Johnson to this point. Hopefully they move quick to rectify and place Ossai on the PUP and get Johnson back.
  2. Puts the thought of him holding out or this being tied to his contract to bed.
  3. Can someone explain how QB Quinn Evers is considered a top of the first prospect? Dude hasn’t completed a full season as a starter. WTF !?!?
  4. That practice squad has some talent on it. Wouldn’t surprise me to see some get poached at one time or another.
  5. Interesting. I remember Grier when he was playing at West Virginia. Lost track of him once coming into the league.
  6. I’ve seen at least a handful of former Bengals getting the axe from other teams as well. None I would want to bring back, just noticing.
  7. Patriots waived QB Bailey Zappe for some reason. I’d pick him up in a heartbeat for the #2 spot.
  8. Chuck Sizzle baby !!!
  9. Adeniji was also a 6th round pick that has managed to stick around despite having the up hill battle. That’s called character.
  10. Better than who? The towel boy? Dude was blessed with the makings of an NFL O-lineman and has pissed on them since day 1. Only one word for the person who consistently gets beat out by lesser opponents when a job is on the line. WEAK !!
  11. Carman catches grief because he has been handed every opportunity to be a starter at damn near every o-line position, only flashed in small doses, has generally sucked ass, and when it's a fight, he folds like a chair. While not being a fan of his due to his questionable choices involving young girls, I have hoped for him to figure out how to utilize his physical gifts to help this team. He continues to fail and he gives me no reason to think that will change. Will be happy to see the day he is no longer in stripes.
  12. Nothing surprising to this point.
  13. The Cards are a mess and Stafford needs to be a leader. 12-13 years difference isn’t that much in that situation. Ball is ball. Invite a group out for dinner or come to the house. Get them together. To me this speaks to his lack of leadership personally. The fact his wife is the one discussing it with everyone speaks even louder.
  14. I've been keeping an eye on the cuts from other teams. Not too much from this point, but I do recall liking CB Kalon Barnes coming out of Baylor. He was a 7th rounder of the Dolphins and then the Vikings signed him from the practice squad. Super fast guy with return skills, but sounds like he hasn't developed quickly enough as a CB. Too bad for him. We don't have the room and he's not beating out anyone here.
  15. Oh for sure, but no chance he's the starting punter minus injury.
  16. Agreed, Chrisman was the dead man walking from jump.
  17. Robbins only had one punt on the night but it went for 51 yards and dropped inside the 20. Chrisman had two punts. One for 61 and another for 38, with one dropping inside the 20.
  18. I feel you Hoosier. After 17 years of being a care giver to my MIL, we finally had to put her in a home. Dementia and Alzheimer’s suck !!
  19. Siemian is ass
  20. Agreed and when considering our backups, I still make that deal. Well… maybe not but I really hate our backups.
  21. I would have traded both Browning and Siemian, along with a 4th to have Lance as our backup. Just saying…
  22. They gave up a ton of draft capital to get him and then only get a 4th in return? Ugh !!!
  23. Can't believe the Cardinals traded Isaiah Simmons to the Giants for a 7th round pick. Dude was a 2020 first round pick and an absolute animal coming out of college. I can recall some saying they don't know how he fits, but he's athletic as they get. I would not have minded seeing the Bengals give up that or even a little more and big Lou try to get him in the mix one way or another. While understanding he hasn't lived up to his draft spot, that dude has never had anything close to consistency with an approach of coaching ideas.
  24. It all depends on their start again. The first two weeks against division opponents will be very important. Going 2-0 to start the season and being 2-0 in the division will set them up for success and take some pressure off regarding the AFCN. Both of those games are going to be tough in my opinion. The next 4 games before the bye: Rams @ Titans @ Cardinals Seahawks While those are not push over teams, I think they should win each of them. The next 4 games after the bye: @ 49er's Bills Texans @ Ravens This is a tough stretch of games with the Texans being the easiest of that grouping. The next 4 games: Steelers @ Jaguars Colts Vikings I'm hoping the Jags game will be the toughest of that grouping. Last 3 games of the season: @ Steelers @ Chiefs Browns Interesting way to end the season with the division being on the line at the end of the year again. Overall, I agree with the high expectations for this season. I fully expect them to be knocking on the Super Bowl door again. Frankly, anything less than that will feel disappointing regarding end result. However, how fun is it to be a Bengals fan these days ?? 13-4 , 14-3... something around there. While seeding is definitely important, if they get to the playoffs, they can win it all. Oh my God week one can't get here fast enough !!!
