  1. Most of Brady's career was defined by great protection and mediocrity at receiver. Let's adopt that legacy for a game against, well, the New England Patriots.
  2. I'm excited to see what Joe Burrow can do with scrub city at wide receiver. Mike Gesicki anytime TD bets should be locked in.
  3. I'm fairly sure Chase will be playing in the game, even if he said he's a "gametime decision" according to himself. He's keeping the contractual pressure on. The IDL is a problem, but so is the Patriots IOL. No excuses. Kick their ass in your home opener.
  4. Can't wait to hear Eagle and Davis talk about this damned contract 7,000 times on Sunday.
  5. Yeah it'll do. Whichever team won this game was going to be a #1 seed threat (probably either way for the Chiefs), but the Ravens are obviously a division threat. I don't want the Bengals winning 12-13 games and still sitting at the 5-seed. Handle business against the god-awful Patriots and set things up for the Chiefs game in week 2.
  6. Haha suck it Baltimore
  7. Lamar is getting hit often. And the Ravens offensive line looks like crap with three new starters.
  8. Well we have a game tonight. Let’s go giant meteor.
  9. I have a feeling he’ll be on the injury list often just to cover bases. Not a concern as long as participation remains full (apart from some rest days here and there).
  10. He's out there doing the business.
  11. Yep. He's probably playing. I am breaking my own solemn vow to ignore this today. Unfortunately I cannot open any Bengals media without seeing it everywhere.
  12. Zac's comments about it pretty well suggest that it's more hold-in stuff. I am ignoring Chase drama until I see him on [or off] the field Week 1.
  13. Looks like he expects to be signed again
  14. Hearing they cut Trayveon Williams for the new guy. 2 RBs currently rostered.
  15. Browns guy with a lot of I's in his name would be nice.
  16. Lee at center and Gilliam at guard/center. Both upgrades in my book.
  17. Well I guess they've reeled me back in. What a relief.
  18. WHAT????? I AM OUT OF HERE. NOT MY PJ JULES?! (whoever that is)
  19. Michaels said kind of off-hand "chyeah, don't fall asleep in meetings" during the broadcast when Herbstreit was emphasizing the importance of Burton learning to be a pro. The Internet kind of ran away with that as implying that Burton was falling asleep (but no reporters could corroborate). I kind of think Michaels was just making a facetious comment about general "unprofessional behavior" and not actually reporting news.
  20. I think Lee is almost a roster lock. If there’s a 10th OL it’s probably Gilliam or Hill.
  21. He's 100% center at this point.
  22. Pretty good, objective breakdown from a neutral observer (it's nearly two hours long, so treat it like a podcast). I don't agree with everything (e.g., I think he's a bit too negative about Zac Taylor), but I appreciate his thoroughness.
  23. I'm not sure what Perine is anymore at 28 years old, but I certainly don't oppose the idea. It might mean they don't keep all the tight ends though.
  24. Good riddance, creep. (Carman)
  25. This is as deep a skill group as I can remember. It might not be quite as strong at the top as peak Chase-Higgins-Boyd-Mixon or perhaps Green-Jones-Sanu-Bernard-Eifert, but just about every player has something to offer beyond just being a guy. Chase - elite Higgins - very good Irwin - usually shows up when he is needed Iosivas and Burton - upside Gesicki - established Hudson - showed up last season All and McLachlan - upside Moss and Brown - upside Maybe Charlie Jones has shown less than these others, but he has had good moments in the return game.
