I agree that they should shore up guard to seal the roster. I don’t blame you. But I have a decent feeling about this team (assuming they figure out Trey). I just hope IOL doesn’t lose them another playoff game.

Sounds like Stewart has been handling the offensive 2s effectively, so that’s encouraging. If he can be disruptive from multiple positions on the DL, that’ll go a long way.

I think there's still "hope", but those quotation marks are doing more work than ever. Trey indicated that he doesn't need to be the highest-paid, so he won't try to top Watt. But this will still make it harder for the Bengals to justify that $28M lowball. He's going to want $35M or so, and a compromise is going to be a challenge (for an organization that does not compromise).

TJ Watt was just extended. 3 years, $123M (average $41M per year). That will only make Trey Hendrickson more difficult, as the Bengals infinitely drag their feet. Save ten cents today to pay ten dollars tomorrow.

I get it from an "if not my team" perspective. Bills/Lions would be a fun matchup. However, I selfishly do not want either of them to leave the "no rings" ranks before the Bengals.
