volcom69 Posted Sunday at 10:31 PM Report Posted Sunday at 10:31 PM So Dax got benched and that’s why Newton was I there, just saw that. I was wondering because I have not heard Newtons name all year. Even so if that’s the case, then this is bad. They need backend help NOW! Without it it’s going to be worse going forward Dax did get back I know for sure when Turner went down, not sure before that. Quote

Stripes Posted Sunday at 10:43 PM Report Posted Sunday at 10:43 PM Burrow was involved in four TOs, and I am fairly confident this game will strengthen his MVP odds. Quote
TJJackson Posted Sunday at 10:47 PM Report Posted Sunday at 10:47 PM This team is missing three things to be a Superbowl team 1. Coming out on offense in the first half. Second half surges arent going to cut it 2. Elimination of huge defensive lapses, ie allowing 50 plus yard plays game after game. Tackling. 3. Ability to run the ball Because of their easy schedule i think they will be a playoff team, but i dont expect them to advance I figure the two DEs going down means we will see She-Marr active going forward. His next last chance. Probably need to trade for a corner asap....whats the word on Turner? 1 Quote

Yup. Fun facts from espn: Joe Burrow is the second QB in NFL history with 450 passing yards, 5 pass TD and 1 rush TD in a single game, and first in 75 years! The other was Norm Van Brocklin in 1951, who set the NFL record with 554 passing yards in that game. Quote
volcom69 Posted Sunday at 11:04 PM Report Posted Sunday at 11:04 PM Yes they need to look for defense help now, the backend is going to need it even if Turner is healthy everyone else sucks! LB sucks also, not sure what they will do maybe nothing, but they really need to consider it. Quote

COB Posted Monday at 12:21 AM Report Posted Monday at 12:21 AM What I gleaned from today’s game: This team can’t win games without Tee Higgins. Quote
COB Posted Monday at 12:32 AM Report Posted Monday at 12:32 AM Just read about Lamar’s injury. After missing 3 games with an ankle injury, he smashes his thumb into a helmet on the first play of the game and now needs surgery on aforementioned thumb. Talk about a lost season. Quote
Stripes Posted Monday at 12:48 AM Report Posted Monday at 12:48 AM It's a bummer for Lamar. Hopefully he can get back for NYE. It's annoying, however, that as the Ravens fall out of contention, both the Steelers and Browns remain entirely in it. Quote
Stripes Posted Monday at 12:52 AM Report Posted Monday at 12:52 AM Our next opponent just lost a game without surrendering a single completed pass. Quote

I’ve never heard of that in the modern nfl. ( I am aware of the great Paul Brown calling zero passes against the Packers the first year the Browns were brought into the NFL). Quote

Thats because these f*cking idiots, already knowing that Dax Hill grades excellent when lineup up outside, but no so well in the slot, for some reason, keep moving him back to the slot. gregcook69 Posted Monday at 03:39 AM Report Posted Monday at 03:39 AM Chase not a happy camper! He’s fed up with Zac and letting him know! That’s probably one of the only things that could influence management to make a move concerning Taylor is if the big money players start squawking!! Quote
ArmyBengal Posted Monday at 11:26 AM Report Posted Monday at 11:26 AM I like hearing Ja’Marr say, “Ask Zac” when being asked about slow starts to the game. It’s a shot at play calling which as we know falls directly on Zac. Why he doesn’t look to Pitcher as a potential to change things up is beyond me. Especially when considering they typically draw up plays ahead of time for the first series. 100% Zac’s issue to fix. The only reason I would push back is you also have to take accountability for dropped passes early in the game as well. Quote
volcom69 Posted Monday at 12:34 PM Report Posted Monday at 12:34 PM Shamar Stewert only played 6 snaps with both other DE getting hurt? Yes this is a huge problem especially with the others injured and might be out for sometime. This is not a good thing at all. Howell might have a fractured wrist he will probably be out for awhile. Quote
ArmyBengal Posted Monday at 01:59 PM Report Posted Monday at 01:59 PM Took a look at the box score to see what could be gleaned... The defense gave up 440 yards and 36 points to a 1-6 Titans offense This without their #1 WR playing in the game. Oh and they still can't tackle. Yeah, the offense has started slow in back to back weeks, but that's a problem. On the offensive side of the ball, Burrow got sacked 3 times without Jeremy Simmons. Really o-line? We still have no answer for the running game no matter what they do to change things up. Remember the talk about Perrine supposedly getting more snaps? Nope and when he does there's nothing there. It goes back to the conversation of the o-line being in a constant state of pass protect damn near every snap. Jonathan Taylor or any other RB isn't changing that for the o-line. Also, 4 offensive turnovers isn't helping matters much either. I am happy with the win and going 5-2 at this point however. I made the comment before the Dolphins game that they could go on a winning streak and that appears to still be the case as they are 3-0 since that game and it wouldn't surprise me to see them go no worse than 4-1 over the next 5. Granted every given Sunday and all, but the schedule could certainly be less friendly. Hell even their last 5 games are fairly light (all things considered) and they could go 4-1 over that stretch. I just don't want to have to depend on a 6 TD game from Burrow to make that happen every week. Quote
ArmyBengal Posted Monday at 02:01 PM Report Posted Monday at 02:01 PM Seeing as how that's 3-0 with Hoosier starting the threads, week 9 is calling you brother !! Quote
