ArmyBengal Posted Saturday at 02:15 AM Report Posted Saturday at 02:15 AM He fell out of favor because he sucked ass. Personally I have never cared for him as a player. Depth at best and that’s questionable. Quote
Stripes Posted Saturday at 10:45 PM Report Posted Saturday at 10:45 PM I’m at the Tom Grossi event in Phoenix. He’s a good dude. The fame hasn’t consumed his soul quite yet. He’ll be in Cincinnati on 15 June. 1 Quote
COB Posted Sunday at 02:01 AM Report Posted Sunday at 02:01 AM I wondered what kind of event you meant. Looked it up and Grossi is doing a visit to all the nfl stadiums and using it as a fundraiser for a children’s hospital. What a strange thing these days, to see a minor celebrity whose only agenda is to be a decent human being. 1 1 Quote
HoosierCat Posted Sunday at 11:35 AM Author Report Posted Sunday at 11:35 AM Yeah he did this before a few years back, raised over a million for St. Jude IIRC. Tom’s a good one. Quote
HoosierCat Posted Sunday at 11:41 AM Author Report Posted Sunday at 11:41 AM And if he does it again in a few years he might be visiting Hammond, Indiana: the “megaprojects” bill the Bears say they need to stay in Illinois died in the Illinois Senate last night. Today is the last day of the session and they still have to pass the budget. So it looks like we are going to find out if the Bears are serious about moving to Indiana. .https://www.chicagotribune.com/2026/05/30/illinois-lawmakers-race-to-finalize-55b-budget-as-bears-stadium-talks-take-back-seat-on-final-day-of-session/ Quote
Stripes Posted Monday at 05:27 PM Report Posted Monday at 05:27 PM Myles Garrett was just traded to the Rams for Jared Verse and draft capital. Thanks, Cleveland. 1 1 Quote

ArmyBengal Posted Monday at 06:51 PM Report Posted Monday at 06:51 PM Thanks Browns !! Oh no, you suck again !! Quote
Saintsfan1 Posted Monday at 07:07 PM Report Posted Monday at 07:07 PM This might be the perfect year to give Josh Allen or Lamar Jackson false hope. They're not beating the Rams. Quote

COB Posted Monday at 08:24 PM Report Posted Monday at 08:24 PM If reincarnation and karma are real, who was Jared Verse in a previous life to deserve this? 1 Quote
ArmyBengal Posted Tuesday at 02:41 AM Report Posted Tuesday at 02:41 AM It’s really like the movie Draft Day happening for real and it’s the Browns. ”You sold a cow for magic beans” 1 Quote
HoosierCat Posted Tuesday at 10:21 AM Author Report Posted Tuesday at 10:21 AM In all seriousness I don’t think it was a horrible trade. The Browns are hosed until they finish passing that fully guaranteed kidney stone named Deshaun Watson, so trading a DE who will turn 31 this year for a rising young player and multiple picks including a first is a reasonable move. It’s more or less what we were arguing the Bengals ought to have done with Trey before last season. You can say that they didn’t get enough for Garrett, and you would be right, but this is probably the best they were going to do. Still great news for Burrow, Lamar and the geriatric in Pitt tho. 1 Quote
ArmyBengal Posted Tuesday at 01:54 PM Report Posted Tuesday at 01:54 PM Verse has proven to be a solid player, so that was a good thing for them THIS year. 3 picks aren't a bad haul either, but they are spaced out over the next three years. I don't like the spread of picks personally. A 1st in 2027 A 2nd in 2028 A 3rd in 2029 Since the Browns restructured Watson's contract, he either will still be on the roster in 2027 or the Browns will be on the hook for an ass load of dead cap dollars. It's the single worst contract in the NFL and will continue to haunt them for seasons to come. Yes, Burrow has yet ANOTHER reason to be super motivated this year. 1 Quote
HoosierCat Posted Tuesday at 02:24 PM Author Report Posted Tuesday at 02:24 PM Well, this is the final real year of Watson’s contract; 2027-30 are all void years (yes, 4 void years!). So while he’s headed to FA, he’ll still be on the Browns’ books for 35, 26, 17 and 9 million through 2030. So yeah, worst contract ever. Quote
Prophecy Posted Tuesday at 04:45 PM Report Posted Tuesday at 04:45 PM Browns actually did something smart. Jared Verse is a damn good player, and the future 1st, 2nd and 3rd Rd picks? But MOST importantly for a team going nowhere in the next few years, getting rid of Myles Garrett's contract which has Cap hits of $58 million in '29 and $58 Million in '30 when he would be 33 and 34 years old. If they want to find a QB and be competitive in the next 4 years, they cannot do it with those types of Cap Hits for an over the hill DE. This is perfect timing for dumping that contract. 1 Quote

HoosierCat Posted yesterday at 03:47 PM Author Report Posted yesterday at 03:47 PM Oh joy another joint practice with da bears. Stripes Posted yesterday at 04:19 PM Report Posted yesterday at 04:19 PM I don’t know why we do those. The joint practice with the Rams immediately after the Super Bowl has to be one of Taylor’s dumbest moves. 1 Quote
HoosierCat Posted 22 hours ago Author Report Posted 22 hours ago I would just like it noted that I am currently trapped in a southern Indiana bar listening to 70+ yo people singing folk songs on open mic night. I blame stripes. 1 Quote
