ArmyBengal Posted August 29, 2012 Report Posted August 29, 2012 I figure the 4th game of the preseason isn't going to change much so I figured I would get this going. How do you think the season is going to turn out for our Bengals ??Honestly, I think this team is going to be a good team, but when going through the schedule and just giving it an initial thought to the teams we are facing, it didn't turn out very well. This was my initial go through:At Baltimore- LOSSCleveland- WINAt Washington- WINAt Jacksonville- WINMiami- WINAt Cleveland- LOSSPittsburgh- LOSSBYE WEEKDenver- LOSSNY Giants- LOSSAt Kansas City- WINOakland- WINAt San Diego- LOSSDallas- WINAt Philadelphia- LOSSAt Pittsburgh- LOSSBaltimore- WINThat works out to 8-8. Not exactly what I was hoping for.It could go differently and obviously i'm hoping for that, but this schedule is much tougher than last seasons. If they don't get a consistent pass rush, some of these teams will eat them up.I'm going with the line of thought that things bounce in their direction and will say 10-6.I don't know if that's good enough for another playoff appearance, but we will see. What say you Bengalzoners ?? UK Bengal Posted August 29, 2012 Report Posted August 29, 2012 With the loss of an established centre have to go 7-9 I just haven't seen anything that's said to me wow.Once again we fail to have consecutive winning seasons.I want to be proven wrong in a big way bengals see too it ? Quote
TJJackson Posted August 29, 2012 Report Posted August 29, 2012 8-8 due to huge questions at corner, rb, and centerand to a lesser extent, the D-Line Quote
cHaD711Johnson Posted August 29, 2012 Report Posted August 29, 2012 Sticking with 10-6. I think we add a RB on cut day, and Faine won't fill in horribly. Luckily, have a run of Rookie QBs after Baltimore and they are kind of beat up themselves. Suggs out and problems with their own line. Quote
volcom69 Posted August 29, 2012 Report Posted August 29, 2012 I'll say 7-9 I really had my hopes up for another playoff run and maybe a playoff win, but there is a lot of questions with this team. I don't like the running game so far, maybe they pick a guy up, but so far had not impressed. The o-line is not playing toghter something is off, and now one guard done for the year, and the center done for who knows how long. Defensive secondary in preseason has not looked great without a pass rush, I'm hoping there will be consistant pressure this year.I hope in wrong I think I picked this record last year and they surprised me, so maybe they can do it again. I was all excited till these injuries hit, I know it's the preseason, but nothing really wowed me into thinking they will be great. Ok bengals now go and prove me wrong again! Quote
HoosierCat Posted August 29, 2012 Report Posted August 29, 2012 Put me in the 7-9 bracket as well. Just too many questions -- and too many injuries. I think this team is still a year away. Quote
bwillycuse Posted August 29, 2012 Report Posted August 29, 2012 It comes down to Dalton in my mind.If he improves and gets everyone involved, I see ten wins. Quote
volcom69 Posted August 29, 2012 Report Posted August 29, 2012 It comes down to Dalton in my mind.If he improves and gets everyone involved, I see ten wins. That's the thing get everyone involved. I'm hoping he spreads the ball around and dosnt throw into double coverage to Green. Other WR need to get separation! Quote
BengalszoneBilly Posted August 30, 2012 Report Posted August 30, 2012 Put me in the 7-9 bracket as well. Just too many questions -- and too many injuries. I think this team is still a year away.I'll call 7-9 my zip code for the same reasons. Quote
Stripes Posted August 30, 2012 Report Posted August 30, 2012 9-7 because of the early schedule. I think that a strong start could propel them to a decent finish, because any team plays better when it stays in the race. If they lose one or two to the crappy teams in the first seven weeks then it could get really ugly though. Quote
Stripes Posted August 30, 2012 Report Posted August 30, 2012 If the BJGE experiment implodes then 6 or 7 wins. Quote
Scottishbengal Posted August 30, 2012 Report Posted August 30, 2012 As the state of the roster is at present I'm gonna go with 2-4 in the divsional matches - but i'm not syaing where the W's or L's occur or aginst whom. The rest of the seaon I see as 4-6 :-At Washington- WINAt Jacksonville- LOSSMiami- WINDenver- LOSSNY Giants- LOSSAt Kansas City- LOSSOakland- WINAt San Diego- LOSSDallas- WINAt Philadelphia- LOSSWow ..thats a 6-10 record and a hell of a disappointment. Maybe we can swing a L to a W somehwere and make it 7-9 but thats about it.I'd love to see some action to bring in some solid pro's at C and CB which could change things, but as it stands this is how I see it Quote
Wraith Posted August 30, 2012 Report Posted August 30, 2012 At Baltimore- WIN - look Baltimore has some serious issues as wellCleveland- WINAt Washington- WINAt Jacksonville- WINMiami- WINAt Cleveland- WINPittsburgh- WINBYE WEEKDenver- WINNY Giants- LOSSAt Kansas City- LOSS KC is really good particularly at homeOakland- WINAt San Diego- WINDallas- WINAt Philadelphia- LOSSAt Pittsburgh- LOSSBaltimore- WIN12-4 for me. Not going to apologize for it or sugar coat it, I like this team. Quote
COB Posted August 30, 2012 Report Posted August 30, 2012 10 wins and they win one playoff game. Quote
kingwilly Posted August 30, 2012 Report Posted August 30, 2012 I'm predicting 11-5, due to Pitt having a down year..I will withhold my playoff predictions, until we can see who they may face. Quote
BengalszoneBilly Posted September 2, 2012 Report Posted September 2, 2012 ESPN is predicting a 6-9-1 record for the Bengals in 2012. I'm not buying the tie, and sticking with 7-9. Quote
cincy9275 Posted September 3, 2012 Report Posted September 3, 2012 i think 10-6 or better. we can match up with all the teams we play . i just don't see any team on our schedule being that much better than us. Quote
ArmyBengal Posted September 5, 2012 Author Report Posted September 5, 2012 For what it's worth, Hobson has the Bengals going 11-5.7-1 in the division with a sweep of the Steelers and Browns and splitting with the Ravens (Monday loss)./>http://www.bengals.com/news/article-1/Highway-to-Heaven-Eleven/57bba27e-45f2-47b2-a714-5fd8db5cb9d6 Quote

membengal Posted September 10, 2012 Report Posted September 10, 2012 Feels for all the world like a 6-10 season coming, so that's my prediction.Hope I am wrong and the slew of injuries isn't going to torpedo the team along with growing pains from Dalton like I think it will. Quote
NLong725 Posted September 12, 2012 Report Posted September 12, 2012 9-7 i think that they can upset someone down the road to break .500 Quote
ArmyBengal Posted December 24, 2012 Author Report Posted December 24, 2012 With a game left, there are 5 that are within one game of hitting the nail on the head. Not that there is anything to win, but it's fun to look at.Predicted 10-6:ArmyBengalTheCriticCOB (also predicted playoff win) Hoping you are right !!Cincy9275Predicted 9-7StripesInSuffolkI actually picked which games I thought they would win or lose and while they fell differently, i'm right there.COB also predicted a playoff win, so here's to hoping he's the big winner !!! HoosierCat Posted December 24, 2012 Report Posted December 24, 2012 They have definitely exceeded my hopes. And no complaints about that at all. Quote
