Inexplicable call, close division game on the road and points are hard to come by. Just didn’t make sense.
-
How the hell are we tied in this game.
-
I’d be fine if Collinsworth just never calls another Bengals game.
-
Man watching Perine play in this offense just illustrates in bold print that Mixon has lost a ton of burst.
-
Fucking embarrassing.
-
Can we just have halftime right now?
-
How are we all feeling about this offense taking over on our 9? LOL.
-
Ravens showed up ready to play
-
Right out of the gate, unable to pass protect.
-
Browns lose, chargers tried to give it to them, but the Browns didn’t want to win.
-
Damn, Giants just knocked off Green Bay. What is going on in the NFL.
-
Now I feel worse about our offense. Damn, Simms not holding back.
-
I’m feeling bad about our offense. Our defense is great. Tough to say with the Ravens, pretty even matchup.

Probably wasn’t luck. The Ravens ran a notoriously physical training camp. Finally this year Harbaugh scaled it way back. He told the media they’d studied various things and this new approach gives them the best chance. We’ll see. He also ran probably the most physical, longest, regular season practices in the league. The union used to file grievances against him for breaking rules during the season. He supposedly has changed that as well. But we’ll see how he reacts once they get pushed around or bullied in a game or two.

Wow! The Official Logistics Partner of the Cincinnati Bengals. That’s pretty heavy. Sorry IEL, whoever the hell you are, but I’m still the UNOFFICIAL logistics partner of the Cincinnati Bengals. I’m out here, on my own, doing guerrilla logistics (always on behalf of my unofficial partner, the Bengals). IEL can have all their fancy “official” relationships. I’m from the streets, motherfuckers. I keep it 100% real to the casket. You think logisticing is some kind of game? I’m a soldier for these fucking logistics.

The Burrow effect.

If Clark Harris had not gotten injured, the Steelers would be 0-4. I read that statement somewhere and I just can’t stop thinking about it.

Here in central Ohio we’re stuck with the Browns game for the 1 pm broadcast. So fucking gross.

NFL: “Our ultra-violent sport destroys the minds and bodies of its participants. You are a head trauma physician, how’d you like to be the fall guy and take the blame for the inevitable neurological damage we do to these guys?” Random Neurologist: “Yes, this sounds like a completely legitimate position. Most of your guys look like they belong in a level 1 trauma center for car crash victims, but they’ll be able to think straight in a few days, give them various injections, they can car crash again right away. One or two of them, wait a week, then they’re good for roller coaster accidents or being thrown off buildings or whatever you’re doing to them.” NFL: “Excellent.”
-
Fired the trauma guy? Yes, it’s that guy’s fault. BTW he’s the lowest guy on the totem pole. Doesn’t work for a team, is anonymous, is never on the tube. It’s all his fault all right!

Our team doesn’t play tomorrow, but if you’re looking for something with a little local interest, the Saints will be having fun and playing together. Andy will be starting for them against the Vikings in the 9:30 am game on NFL network from England. I’m going to check that out, root for Andy to play well.

Carman stopped by this morning and gave me a bid on gutter clean out for once the leaves start dropping. Dude’s staying ahead of things, good for him.

The Athletic just published a story about Meyer’s tenure in Jax. It’s paywalled so I can’t read it, a buddy texted me and said it destroyed Meyer. Like it could poison his chances at any decent college job.

This dude is in a negative media maelstrom the likes of which shows up about once a season. It doesn’t matter what he does, he’s getting dragged. The WFT owner was kind of the whipping boy du jour, but Urban has replaced him. Dude’s about one minute away from popping his almost always popped collar, faking a migraine, and strolling out of town with 30 million or whatever his buyout is. Which leads me to the point of this post. Shad Kahn needs a respectable coach. Someone who will aim not for the Super Bowl, but borderline respectability. Someone who will bring in vets who will give 85% effort and keep their mouths shut. Someone who will tell his players to “be a pro!” Yep, Marvin Lewis should be the next coach of the Jacksonville Jaguars. He’ll get them to .500 in a year or two, then keep them there for as long as they want it. Bonus - potential Andy/AJ Green reunion as they both milk the end of their careers for some easy cash. Let’s Go!!

Trying to watch the OSU-Indians game. Bucks look good, but it’s difficult to say for sure because Indiana is abysmal. They don’t seem to care at all.
