Typical Steelers - TJ Watt put in concussion protocol Friday morning. Why was he able to continue playing after Zeke hurt him? He was out for 3 plays, then they sent him back in. During the game he had a tinted visor installed on his helmet. Light sensitivity is a screaming red flag for concussion. After the game he was unable to do a previously scheduled interview due to a “migraine.” Shows up at the facility Friday, put into concussion protocol.

We kick off week 14 with a contest between the Patriots and the Steelers. Al Michaels is calling the game with all the enthusiasm of someone watching his neighbor paint his garage.

Post Traumatic Amnesia can strike in one of two ways: 1. Retrograde: they lose the ability to recall events that occurred immediately before the injury. 2. Anterograde: they lose the ability to form new memories. These people are confused and unhappy (for obvious reasons). I have a family member that suffered a serious brain injury and suffered from both of these. The anterograde resolved itself. The retrograde did not and probably won’t. She can’t remember anything about at least a week before her accident. We think she’s lost a few months but she is not forthcoming about her symptoms. Hurst may make it back next year. He’s probably going to be pretty susceptible to concussions in the future, though. Might be a tough condition to deal with while trying to play in the NFL.

His agent finds him another year of eligibility, he reels in huge NIL money and starts for the Buckeyes next year.
