I was driving and listened to it on the radio. Lap is a regional treasure. 2 points - sounds like they’ve determined a number 2 at quarterback. And from what I heard, there was only one injury, free agent got wobbled, helped off the field.

Moving my daughter into an apartment in Austin (grad school at Texas), just tonight we had Roppolo’s, this place just west of campus on Guadalupe Street. Really good, can recommend it if you’re ever down here.

I’ve been thinking the same thing - Burrow won’t play until calf is healed AND new deal is in place. -

Week 1 will be telling. We started so slowly last year. 0-3 in the division. I’d like to see some improvement. The O line starting out strong would be a huge help. Burrow was running for his life in early games the last couple years. I’m not saying they should dominate Myles Garrett. Just don’t get completely destroyed by him. -

Lap said this is the best offensive line we’ve had in ten years, he was quite encouraging in his comments. Orlando Brown Jr - he came off as one of the smartest guys I’ve heard interviewed. His comments about Frank Pollack seemed genuine and were very positive. They were a legitimate counter to my negative comments recently. There is debate as to who is in a better position to evaluate our offensive line coach, me or Orlando Brown Jr. -

I love watching the newly drafted guys play. -
Pre season game? The way the game is today, some of the guys battling for a depth spot on the roster will end up starting meaningful end of season games, or even post season games.

I don’t feel like a total downer. I’m super excited about this season, it’s a serious window. I’m not going to predict this or that, but man, we’re looking pretty damn good. Having said all that - we had Super Bowl winning potential the last two years. In both the Super Bowl game and last year’s AFC championship game, we had what I thought was the better overall team. But in both those games the o line basically couldn’t hang. Even with an average o-line, we win both those games. I think the bengals agree, based on their acquisition of Orlando Brown. Pollack put his trust in Jonah at left tackle and moving him to right is a tacit admission that that trust was misplaced. So when I read Pollack singing the praises of Jonah at right, I am not enthusiastic, put it that way. It would be amazing if Jonah can be a mid level right tackle. We need him to be that. -

He could be out for days, weeks, months, who knows? -
If I recall correctly, that name was kind of a temporary name for a long time contributor, Kingwilly. He lived in California, was a good dude. Loved football, loved the bengals.

Like they are straight up saying he’s good? Then we will see. Jonah could be that type of player that practices well, absorbs information quickly, and once he gets a feel for how to play against his practice opponents, he can handle them. But once he gets in a game, just the speed of the game, the intensity, whatever it is, he just can’t play up to the level his practices would seem to indicate. The opposite of a gamer. The opposite of Burrow. -

"It's really been a lot more seamless and smooth than I would anticipate for any guy. So it just shows the quality player that Jonah is," Pollack said. What the fuck is Pollack talking about? This rusty gate gave up 12 sacks last year, and by many ratings services he was the worst starting tackle in the league. I’m really starting to question Pollack’s coaching. -

True Fact - They open a new runway at the Canton municipal airport every year in August to allow the giant group of orthopedic surgeons who show up to fix all the mangled Division 2 football players who list their position as “Effort Guy” and get intro the Hall of Fame Game just long enough to get their shit completely wrecked. -

Going to completely hit on this Hall of Fame Game parlay, then retire. All 3 have to happen, but I’m confident. 1. A division 3 try hard gets a compound fracture in his femur. Tells Erin Andrews he’ll rehab and come back stronger than ever, not giving up on his dream! 2. During the broadcast Chris Collinsworth spends more than 8 minutes telling us how great the Pittsburgh Steelers organization is, even though they’re not even in the game. 3. The division 3 try hard who got his femur compound fractured last year gets in the game, gets destroyed and sustains a massive brain injury. He’s unconscious when they take him off the field, but his dad is there and he tells Erin Andrews his son will rehab and come back stronger than ever, not giving up on his dream! -
Right on! Then once that dealer cleans out all the dim witted marks he starts yelling, doesn’t anyone want to play me anymore, you slugs! Doesn’t anyone want to play for blood!” Then I appear. “I’m your Rasberry.” The dealer stammers, “Uh, do you mean Huckleberry, like ‘I’m your huckleberry’?” I go, “I’m your snack cake. Like the kind you buy at a gas station.” The dealer says, “What the fuck? Snack cake? It’s I’m your huckleberry! Fucking idiot!”

Poor dude. If there is one role on an NFL team that could be considered expendable/replaceable, backup running back might be the front runner. -
