Stripes Posted October 29 Report Posted October 29 11.5-point spread with Simmons traded. Shades of the Mike White game. Be on your shit, Bengals. Quote
Stripes Posted October 29 Report Posted October 29 The Bills/Ravens game this week is an interesting midseason opportunity to assess our true mindset. If the second half last Sunday was an indicator of what the Bengals are capable of, then with their schedule they ought to have their minds on a #1 seed. It's always a lofty goal, and I've never seen them do it in any season since I joined the fanbase (last happened when I was less than two years old). But if that's the goal, then we should root for Baltimore to beat Buffalo on Sunday. Quote

It should be the new expected standard. If you are capable, then go be that team. Anything less than that type of effort, even if not resulting in 35 point in 30 minutes, is a failure. If there is any other mindset than that, I would have to question your desire to win and be the best. Don't fuck around, don't half ass your effort, go be KILLERS. Quote
HoosierCat Posted October 29 Author Report Posted October 29 Oh I’m totally confident they will shit the bed Sunday. Especially after the Tits traded away their best player. This game just screams L. Now, Tennessee might be so bad they still manage to squeak out a win, but either way I expect maximum ugly. Quote
COB Posted October 29 Report Posted October 29 I expect them to show up, stomp on the terra firma, then let Ted Karras yell insults at any Tennessee fans who dared to cross the Ohio River. No reason in the world for this game to be close. Quote
Stripes Posted October 29 Report Posted October 29 I’d like to think allowing 220 yards rushing to the winless Dolphins was the necessary lesson in playing down to your competition. But we’ll see. 2 Quote
