Newton staring over CTB.

Time to move on from CTB.
He's an unrestricted free agent after this season and they should just start over with a young CB in the draft.
No reason to throw money at him hoping he finds his form from a few seasons back.

"We talked on the phone while he drove," Taylor told reporters. "We had somebody drive him, he and his wife from Cleveland, and so we were able to send him the information to study. Talked to him on the phone as he drove down, gave him a break, let him come into the facility and we got a chance to meet last night and met this morning. I'm not sure how long (the phone call) was. We just tried to cover all of the basic pieces of information, to knock out personnel and formations and motions, and the easy stuff. And then, when you get in here, get the nuts and bolts. So, probably talked some run game last night on the phone too. Got into the run game plan. Stuff that he knew, and it all sounds familiar. He'll be ready to roll."

Taylor said he did not waste any time before letting Flacco know he'd start.

"That was probably the second sentence I told him," Taylor said. "You know, it's 'welcome to the club, and we're ready to start you on Sunday.'"

That's some funny stuff right there. Ah, Bengals. One thing you can't say about this organization is that it's ever boring.

Anyhow, Stefanski doesn't sound too happy about this turn of events.

Oh, and Jake's pissed he got benched.

Maybe don't play like crap next time.

Nothing personal, but Anthony Richardson is straight ass.
However, in comparison to what we currently have, he might be the shiniest turd.

No probs at all...you've not inherited that Colts QB but another

I'm not sure though if I can call Flacco a proper Colts QB

You know the ends of a loaf of bread? Some people call that "the heel" but I call it "the ho"

It's the piece that everyone touches, yet nobody wants

The defense!!

Offense will have to score 30+ points to even have a chance to win.

Packers 51, Bengals 2.

Murphy will get that safety after all, just a week later than I expected

Actually this is a realistic prediction!

I guess no one is realistically focusing on the defense TJ, because it requires a whole new squad??

Zac confirms Flacco will start Sunday.

Hope he has 40+ points in that 40 year old arm!

We got #4 defense (Packers) going against #30 (Bengals)

Not strange seeing the Bengals at #30 but seeing the Ravens at #31 is stunning compared to somewhere in the top 10 that they usually come in at!

Offensively, #14 (Packers) going against #32 (Bengals)

Nice of them to drive him and his wife to Cincinnati. Guess the airport was closed.

Mike Brown figured $100 in gas, is cheaper than 2 plane tickets.

Sure, Mike could have phoned over to Lunken and had them prep his 1925 Ford Trimotor to go get Flacco, but it only would have shaved about 90 minutes at best off the car trip, plus he would have had to fork over dough for a pilot. Easier to just give Mike Jr. the keys to the Lumina and tell him to hit the road.

I guess they figured Flacco is 3rd in the NFL in Interceptions (6) and Browning is 2nd (8)...so Flacco is technically an improvement?

We know 2 of those were off open WR hands that landed in Bengal defender hands.  Another INT was off a hail mary attempt before half.

Jake can't see the field.  The INTs are bad enough, but there's plenty of tape of him not throwing to open WRs because he isn't sure of what he's seeing.    Which should shock absolutely no one because its the exact same thing he does in preseason only against back ups that aren't schemed up.

Its amazing they locked into him as #2 for so long.

Fairchild DNP for the second straight day. I'd say he's out for sure. Patrick upgraded from limited to full. Stewart still limited.

What’s that you say?  One of our rookies is out with an injury?  Direct correlation- the higher your draft slot, the more games you miss with injury.

JaMarr can’t possibly be out.  If he is, 2025 is a cursed season and we can all just start gutter cleanout a little early

I honestly think he's "calling in sick"....come on we've all done it...he doesn't want to lead the Bengals in tackles again against that O-line...just wanting to snuggle under covers and enjoy Bob Barker...that's some Gen X stuff...
