COB Posted Tuesday at 03:14 AM Report Posted Tuesday at 03:14 AM If Zac Taylor isn’t in a secret MS-13 prison in El Salvador by Thursday of this week I’m going to jump off a bridge. Quote
Stripes Posted Tuesday at 03:21 AM Report Posted Tuesday at 03:21 AM Hard to get spanked by 38 and 25 points in consecutive NFL games. Backup QBs are no excuse for that. Quote
volcom69 Posted Tuesday at 03:22 AM Report Posted Tuesday at 03:22 AM So 3 o-line coaches, bringing guys in who have had success elsewhere at a pretty high level, and somehow they come here and forget how to block? This has to be a Zac thing I don’t understand what else it could be I really don’t. Nothing about this team anymore makes sense. 1 Quote

And think what the next 3 weeks will be like: Lions, Packers, and Steelers. Helps explain the vacant stares on our players’ faces tonight. Quote
COB Posted Tuesday at 03:32 AM Report Posted Tuesday at 03:32 AM You know who will be held accountable for this debacle tonight? How about the GM? Wait, we don’t have one. How about the offensive play caller? Wait, it’s a guy but Zac also listens and can change it. How about our head of personnel? Wait, Duke Tobin has some authority, but Zac and Katie and Mike can chime in and be part of the decisions too. It’s almost like the whole organization was set up to avoid anyone ever really being responsible for anything. 1 Quote
glasgowbengal Posted Tuesday at 03:34 AM Report Posted Tuesday at 03:34 AM Worst team in the league Lets pray for no dead cat bounce and get rid of the entire staff and front office 1 Quote
Stripes Posted Tuesday at 03:36 AM Report Posted Tuesday at 03:36 AM Unfortunately, the final two games are Miami and Cleveland. Primed for the bounce. Quote
COB Posted Tuesday at 03:49 AM Report Posted Tuesday at 03:49 AM We are all familiar with the Russian Tsar, False Dmitriy I. He was the Polish imposter who took advantage of a period of Russian instability in 1605 and seized the Russian throne. He ruled for 10 months, then real Russians snatched him up, shot him, burned him, then loaded his ashes in a giant cannon, aimed it at Poland, and fired him back from whence he came. I know we can’t realistically expect Zac’s ashes to fly all the way back to LA, but we could probably get them at least over the Brent Spence Bridge, agreed? Quote

Better get that betting app cranked up on your phone if you’re going to be calling them like this. The Associated Press summarized it thusly: The Bengals (2-2) never crossed midfield after an opening-drive field goal for a 3-0 lead as Denver's defense limited Cincinnati to a mere 159 yards of offense — to the Broncos' 512 — and two third-down conversions all night. volcom69 Posted Tuesday at 10:44 AM Report Posted Tuesday at 10:44 AM Why did they not interview some of the ex head coach defensive guys that were out there? He hires Golden because he is his buddy I guess. Yes they don’t have great players, but wow I have seen schemes, stunts blitzes bettter at a high school football game. Zacs afraid to hire anyone good that might actually be better than him, he is scared to give up play calling. His playcalling and scheme does not work anymore, especially with Browning at QB, so either change your game plans or find a QB that can run your scheme. Zac looks like he is in over his head anymore. This looks like a team who forgets how to play football. Quote

He consistently takes too long to get the play in, resulting in a scramble drill at the LOS trying to get the play run on time. Or a timeout. Or a delay of game penalty. He is just a bad coach . It’s simple. Has Burrow been carrying him? Zac is 4-29-1 without Burrow. Zac is most definitely in over his head. The Brown family is most definitely in over their heads. The game has evolved so far beyond the Brown Family’s methods and abilities that I don’t think they’ll ever get close again. I don’t mean game planning and scheme. I mean just organizationally and administratively. The way other teams analyze everything to the nth degree, the way they scout and draft, the way they manage the cap, the way they strategically manage their roster. It’s all changed in the last 15 years. Mike and company? Their methods were antiquated even 15 years ago, and they’re still doing it that way. The NFL hasn’t just zoomed past the Bengals, the best NCAA teams are way ahead of us in how they conduct business. 1 Quote
AMPHAR Posted Tuesday at 12:21 PM Report Posted Tuesday at 12:21 PM 1. Jake Browning horrible. Not an excuse because this organization has left him unchallenged at #2 QB despite him sucking every preseason he's been here. 2. Aikman nailed it last year and again last night. Its just a fucked up mentality to want to play Throw and Catch on offense completely. Then when that doesn't work out there's nothing. Which leads to a soft defense being on the field way too much. 3. Prior to these two game they had the chance to disprove the narrative all they've done is draft Joe Burrow. Instead they have quickly cemented that narrative into a FACT. 4. Once again, defense soft as can be. Leave them out there and they'll bleed yards/points to any capable offense. Quote
gregcook69 Posted Tuesday at 12:53 PM Report Posted Tuesday at 12:53 PM Let’s see the teams who seem to have consistent winning seasons; Steelers, Rsvens, Bills, Chargers, Chiefs, Broncos, Eagles, 49ers, Lions, Packers, Buccaneers, Rams! Quote
volcom69 Posted Tuesday at 01:43 PM Report Posted Tuesday at 01:43 PM Yea and those teams have all won with backup QBs. I get that it’s going to be so much harder with a back up QB, but good coaches find a way to get it done, they adapt to the situation at hand, not continue to runs offense made for someone else. They build there teams for many situations, they built this team for Burrow and Burrow only, but forgot about other aspects of the game, like maybe running it, or maybe stopping the other team every once in awhile from scoring. Ive like Zac for many years, and he did build a team for winning, but they let go some of there best players, failed to build a run game, failed to get a o-line that actually works, let there defense go to shit, never drafted players that really even contribute anymore. I’m not saying it’s a lack of trying, but what he is doing is not working. This team needs an experienced head coach, one who can cover the flaws of the front office people. Not a greenhorn head coach just learning to build a team, not going to work with these guys. Quote
HoosierCat Posted Tuesday at 02:01 PM Author Report Posted Tuesday at 02:01 PM Worse thing is that Burrow getting hurt will give the FO the excuse it needs to give Zaccy just one more year. As Stripes said, nothing changes. Quote

volcom69 Posted Tuesday at 07:18 PM Report Posted Tuesday at 07:18 PM Man Mims last year looked so good watching him progress, they fire the OL coach bring in this new guy, and somehow he looks worse. Geez when you didn’t think the o-line couldn’t get worse this coach just flat out sucks!! Every player on that line totally forgot how to block so weird. Quote
AMPHAR Posted Tuesday at 09:15 PM Report Posted Tuesday at 09:15 PM I like Zac. Thinks he's a good coach. Nothing that's happened this season invalidates what he accomplished as the HC when times were good. Same with Lou. However, the next chapter isn't working out. FIX it or be gone. Jake Browning has been here 3 seasons and unchallenged as #2. Big mistake. Too bad. Too many young offensive coaches across the league would jump at chance to start their HC career with Chase, Higgins, Burrow and whoever else is under contract next year. Either fix it or be gone. Then Zac can go attempt a revenge tour in some other city. NFL is a cold deal. Quote
volcom69 Posted Tuesday at 09:28 PM Report Posted Tuesday at 09:28 PM Just saw they dropped Trey last night 5 times in coverage, well there sounds like a winning formula Golden. I get he has crap for players, but starting to see his scheme is crap also. Quote
