Sea Ray Posted September 22, 2011 Report Posted September 22, 2011 Let's see what Peerman can do. I know some fans that don't think Ced's worth a darn Quote
gregstephens Posted September 22, 2011 Report Posted September 22, 2011 We could always work out Clinton Portis?<ok, never mind> Quote
volcom69 Posted September 22, 2011 Report Posted September 22, 2011 This season keeps going downhill LOL LOL. For a minute i thought we were done with drama, i guess not!! With all the crap on this team no i dont see them winning many games, or maybe they will now that there dealer is not around..... Quote
HoosierCat Posted September 22, 2011 Report Posted September 22, 2011 So, is GOD-el suspending all the other guys who got in trouble during the lockout? If not, this is bullsh*t. Quote
HairOnFire Posted September 22, 2011 Report Posted September 22, 2011 I guess this will make it easier for Marvin to get Bernard Scott some playing time. He couldn't seem to manage it before, and I had grown tired of his excuses. So there's that. Quote
HoosierCat Posted September 22, 2011 Report Posted September 22, 2011 Per Reedy, Benson says he has NOT been notified of any suspension. Quote
gregstephens Posted September 22, 2011 Report Posted September 22, 2011 Per Reedy, Benson says he has NOT been notified of any suspension.Well of course not...why should he be? It's like Dean Wormer's double secret probation. Quote
ShulaSteakhouse Posted September 22, 2011 Report Posted September 22, 2011 Let's see what Peerman can do. I know some fans that don't think Ced's worth a darnI'm guessing lots of Leonard and Scott - and the same results (60 yards rushing). Quote
Spor_tees Posted September 22, 2011 Report Posted September 22, 2011 This would make some sense, if you look at the guys the Bengals had in town Tuesday for a work out per PFT:The Bengals worked out receiver Armon Binns, running back James Davis, running back Shaun Draughn (that’s a great name), defensive tackle Derek Landri, running back Tyrell Sutton, and nose tackle Gabe Watson. So they brought James Davis back in knowing that Ced was going to be suspended. Last week I said I wanted them to look at Landri, he's a former Notre Dame product with a high motor. Someone else mentioned Gabe Watson as well. Quote

Stripes Posted September 22, 2011 Report Posted September 22, 2011 At least we're not stuck with DeDe Dorsey or Quincy Wilson. Quote
jjakq27 Posted September 23, 2011 Report Posted September 23, 2011 Starting with bills game - so - awesome - just gets better and betterSo where was this reported ? Quote
James_Brooks21 Posted September 23, 2011 Report Posted September 23, 2011 Starting with bills game - so - awesome - just gets better and betterSo where was this reported ?He needs replacing at the end of the year anyway, I'm not sold on Trent Richardson yet but we still have plenty of time to evaluate him. I'm glad Simpson was revealed now rather than after the draft and after we had signed him to a contract. Benson was gone regardless, unless he turned into Adrian Peterson, he's just too unreliable with off the field stuff. Quote
COB Posted September 23, 2011 Report Posted September 23, 2011 Ced should force the union to appeal it. The appeal is heard by Goodell, but wth. If he can just stall it into next season we won't even care because Ced is likely on the street in January anyway. Quote

Sports reported on Thursday that Benson would be suspended starting with next Sunday’s game against Buffalo. The suspension would also cover the Oct. 9 game at Jacksonville and Oct. 16 home game against Indianapolis./>http://news.cincinnati.com/article/20110922/SPT02/309220068/Bengals-Benson-faces-possible-suspensionhttp://nfl.si.com/20...ed-three-games/ Quote
volcom69 Posted September 23, 2011 Report Posted September 23, 2011 Sounds like Benson was never told about this! So i guess he is going to fight this, and they said he has a good chance of winning....um yea right he plays for the bengals, his suspension will stand!! Quote
COB Posted September 23, 2011 Report Posted September 23, 2011 Ced was not an employee of the NFL when he pounded that guy's face in Austin, so how can Goodell suspend him? What rule did he break? There were no rules, because there was no labor agreement in place. No ex post facto laws!Of course, Pryor and Tressel also were not employees of the league or a team, but they fell under the good of the game thing anyway.Time for the union to step up and really fight. For once. Quote
jjakq27 Posted September 23, 2011 Report Posted September 23, 2011 I thought Roj said that guys would still be monitored for their conduct during the lockout. That was before they disbanded. Not sure how it applies in this case. Quote
Pidge Posted September 23, 2011 Report Posted September 23, 2011 He's just extracting the urine now is our cuddly little Roger. I hope he gets dick cancer. Quote

I know these guys are good at ferreting out information but when they know before the player knows, then there's something going on. Quote
BengalPimp Posted September 23, 2011 Report Posted September 23, 2011 FINALLY, These Idiots will use Bernard Scott......FINALLY !!! Quote
