ArmyBengal
Please keep the draft talk in the other thread. Thanks guys...
kingwilly
If Gresham means never having to see Coats drop another TD pass again, I am his biggest fan. I may even buy his jersey. This is going to take time for me to really embrace, considering who was on the board... (Dez, Mays, Wilson, Kindle, Odrick)
Kazkal
Brat hasn't utilized Tight End in past but with 2 pass catching ones on the Roster he's pretty much forced to utilize the position now otherwise he may lose his job next year. ArmyBengal
There were only two players on the board that I think would have made equal sense and only one (Bryant) was a better value. Kindle would have been the only other pick to come in and start sooner rather than later.
princeton
Coats has two good knees. I vote that the Bengals keep him for parts

DC_Bengals_Fan
Can this guy block? Cuz we already have one of the "TE from a systems offense who can't block" collection.I'm not a huge fan of this pick. Though I'll say none of the guys we hoped would fall did, outside of Bryant. And I wasn't sold on him from the 'lazy' rap. So I guess you have to take somebody *shrug*.

membengal
From the quotes from Lewis and Hayes that I just got inundated with on twitter, they said there are zero injury concerns, as between Gresham and Bryant that Gresham had the better work ethic, and that Gresham at this point is already a better blocker than Dallas Clark. They seem super stoked about the pick. Brat said he will have every chance to start from game 1. He apparently wowed them when they worked him out at PBS a few weeks back. ShulaSteakhouse
Brat hasn't utilized Tight End in past but with 2 pass catching ones on the Roster he's pretty much forced to utilize the position now otherwise he may lose his job next year.I don't think it's a philosophy or a game plan so much, he's just never had a good TE to use, let alone a complete one who can keep defenses off-balance and replace TJ's underneath stuff. Just hope he stays healthy.
ArmyBengal
Awesome slip of Haden getting hammered. The header was even better."B*tch, you got knocked the f*ck out !!!"
NJ29
Awesome slip of Haden getting hammered. The header was even better."B*tch, you got knocked the f*ck out !!!"Absolutely! Part of my apprehension with Jermaine was that I kinda heard that he hadn't been a very physical runner, and obviously that's not true. GoBengals!
I recall Foshi had some clucth catchs last year and he was sub par. Excited about what Gresham can do.... Hopefully not an injury prone guy. He's hoping for Safety or WR in 2nd round...

And just what was he supposed to do to maximize Coats/Foschi last year anyway?
Kazkal
Hey. Day 1 Starter. Not a lot of places we could have said that...Bengals also stay true to always taking need in rnd 1.
Kazkal
Resign Reggie or Draft a blocking TE in rnd 5 + and let me get my wish of Coats not being on the roster in September
princeton
for YEARS, Bengals have lacked guys TEs, RBs, and FBs that could catch AND block just to keep defenses uncomfortable. lots more to do there, but finally a move in the right direction. NJ29
For all those interested, I'm working on a sig similar to the Mays sig I made for Kazzy, with Gresham in a Bengal uniform!
