  1. As usual, it will depend on how they tackle free agency. The emphasis may be on the in house players hitting the market. All of the following are unrestricted free agents after the season: S- Jessie Bates S- Vonn Bell CB- Eli Apple TE- Hayden Hurst RB- Samaje Perine LB- Germaine Pratt And there are more depth guys, but those are the ones getting constant snaps week in and week out. Then there are the big ones coming due shortly thereafter. Take a look at the 2024 options they will have to address: QB- Joe Burrow (club option) RB- Joe Mixon (club option) DT- DJ Reader (UFA) WR- Tyler Boyd (UFA) CB- Chidobe Awuzie (UFA) LT- Jonah Williams (UFA) WR- Tee Higgins (UFA) LB- Logan Wilson (UFA) DT- Josh Tupou (UFA) LB- Akeem Davis-Gaither (UFA) That doesn't include Chase's contract which will follow all of that as well. BIG decisions will be coming for the team after this season. Who stays? Who goes? The above is what you call the window closing on this group.
  2. They are filling spots and that's about all that can be expected. Not many 6'2 DE's killing it in the league. Any WR not making Houston's roster is cause for concern. Wishing them the best while they are Bengals !!!
  3. Great seats as Mem was gracious enough to provide his preseason game and I took my son and his two friends. I have plans around the game which will keep me from going or I would be all in at that price point. Nice of you to offer !!
  4. Shit, forgot about Mixon. Yes, quite the accomplishment.
  5. Agree that things have evened out for Taylor. It certainly was NOT that way to start the season, but that seems to be a long time ago in comparison. Another thing that helps the offense with Chase going down is having the equivalent of two #1 WR's on the roster. Higgins has been stellar in Chase's absence and has only proven that many teams should be looking at him in free agency as their new #1 WR if the Bengals can't retain him. Without going to look and make comparisons, I would find it surprising to find teams be able to continue winning after losing both their #1 WR and #1 CB for a period of time. Good on this coaching staff for keeping up !!
  6. Great. Grand. Just don't let Chrisman get away when you have the answer to the position in your hands.
  7. The Titans were just pissed because the Bengals have, now twice in a row, come into their house and smacked them right in the fucking mouth. They have literally bullied the Titans when most see the Titans as a very physical team. That being said, I agree with you guys. Cheap shot bitches. SCOREBOARD MOTHERFUCKERS !!!
  8. I'd rather them waste a spot with two punters than to send him back to the practice squad personally. I like Chrisman and Huber's time has come (with all due respect). It would be nice not to have "Punter" on the list of things to deal with in 2023. There are far greater things on that list.
  9. If we are talking AFC North crown, the main problem is the Bengals are 1-3 in the division where the Ravens are 2-0. We need the Ravens to drop some of their remaining division games. Even if we split, they would have a better division record which is the first tie breaker. They still have the Steelers twice and the Browns before us. Not to say they will just sweep all those games, but the Bengals will need some help if we end in a tie. All that being said, JUST FOCUS ON BEATING KC !!! Everything else will play itself out.
  10. Thanks Mem !!! That's what I was saying in the other thread. This team feels different at this point. It's going to be fun watching it play out !!
  11. Watching those clips makes you feel like something special is happening again with this team. I don't want to get ahead of myself, but damn that was a fun game to see them play that way. Get after KC boys !!!
  12. Agree Hoosier, but it’s not like I would turn up my nose at the latter if it results in a win !!!
  13. Salute returned. It’s Miller time !!!
  14. Whatever they did in the postseason last year needs to be repeated here. Forget today and focus on next Sunday !!!
  15. Fucking fuck yeah !!! About as much as you could hope for. Play of the game ?? Has to go to Stripes for looking into the face of superstition and saying “Come at me bitch” when starting this thread instead of Hoosier. His calm demeanor, poise in the face of insurmountable odds, and fuck it attitude show great credit upon him, the Bengals organization and the United States of America.
  16. Stroud lost some draft stock yesterday. Locked onto receivers, late in his reads, nervous feet, poor decision making. The secondary was an absolute mess all day as well. All that said, Michigan clearly wanted that game more. Congrats to them…
  17. I was hoping the Bills were going to drop that game yesterday as well. Close one...
  18. Nope, I’m older. I was there in the late 70’s when the school first opened and gone by the early 80’s. I grew up there in Mt. Carmel before Eastgate Mall or anything out that way was even a thought. It was all farm land.
  19. Like I said, I don’t pay any attention to most of the position coaches anyway, so I don’t think I would lose sleep either way. I think the o-line coach is the only one I hear or talk about. If the line was too 5, that probably wouldn’t be the case.
  20. Kidding of course. I'm a blessed man.
  21. Yes sir. The good Catholic boy I am.
  22. Maybe that explains my life COB... Fuckin' Nutcracker Thanks a lot Mrs. Cooper from St. Veronica !!
  23. Headed up to Columbus for THE GAXE this Saturday. This is going to be huge. Outside of the biggest rivalry in college football, Ohio State is ranked #2 and Xichigan is ranked #3. GO BUCKS !!!
  24. For what it's worth, I went to the Nutcracker as a kid in grade school and the whole thing stuck. I literally take the kids every year if there's not something local, we go to the ballet.
