  1. Happy to hear Bachie has been cleared for the depth he provides. Let me ask a legit question about the linebackers that may help my thoughts a bit. Understanding they do not play a traditional 4-3 and many times they may only have 2 linebackers on the field at the same time. How would you guys view those 2 who are on the field? Meaning, with only 2 on the field, there isn't the traditional WLB, MLB, SLB. Is the goal, when there are only 2 on the field, to have more coverage? Thanks !!
  2. I don't always make friends, but when I do, they share their Prime password with me. Stay friendly...
  3. Jesus guys. No one is slamming anyone here. (See what I did there TJ) Not trying to keep this going. You guys like the LB’s we have and I don’t like them as much as you. It happens. To TJ, if ADG isn’t in the class of Wilson, and I agree he isn’t, that only reaffirms what I said. We actually agree on that. Again, I hope they cover the absence of Wilson well and will applaud the whole time.
  4. Probably right about that… Houston at Carolina bad
  5. I’m honestly surprised Jackson hadn’t been signed yet. He may not be what he once was, but a vet presence most teams could use.
  6. This is going to get good because the Commanders responded to Irsay and basically said they won’t sell the team regardless. Hell yeah !!!
  7. Did someone say he wasn't ?? I would disagree with anyone saying Wilson isn't a beast.
  8. Not at all guys, has nothing to do with the traditional 4-3/3-4 talk and I totally get everything that has been said to this point. I'm not suggesting to go out and find another linebacker or make a trade for one either. I simply think they need to make an effort to find a stud at the position instead of 3rd round at best and later to find starters. While I like Wilson as much as anyone else here, I'm simply not as high on the remainder of them, outside of Pratt. I don't view any of them as difference makers on that defense and want to see them make greater effort to find one. However, I will readily embrace the idea of involving Dax Hill to get him on the field and gain snaps more in the meantime. I'm not asking for any huge reaction at this point however. The same could be said most places honestly. Improve the depth...
  9. Oh don’t get me wrong, I’m all good with Wilson and Pratt. When all are healthy, there’s much less concern.
  10. I mean if they have a plan to run more defensive plays with less LB’s, then maybe, but I simply think “Solid” and “Very good” may be a bit of a reach. I have just always hated their approach to LB’s. It’s neither here nor there, just a peeve. If that’s all I have to be peeved about, I’m doing ok.
  11. That’s hilarious TJ. Do you remember when we use to post milestones when people hit a posting mark ?? ”Congratulations to TJ for his 1000th post on the board”. Birthdays and all that stuff.
  12. I’m really not trying to be a butt, but there’s literally bare bones. Wilson is out. Pratt and ADG are starting. Bailey is a MLB and then there is Clay Johnston backing up Wilson. Bachie is still recovering from his ACL tear in December. There is no one else currently on the roster. As I mentioned we have two guys on the practice squad that were both I drafted free agents. Like I said, I could very well be wrong. God knows I’ve been there more times than not, but I just don’t see it.
  13. Not to be funny, but where?
  14. Losing Matt Ryan and replacing him with Mariota didn't help him I don't think, but while his yardage is down, his YPC is only a couple yards less. He's been targeted 13 times this season with 169 yards and a TD. Last year through 6 games with Ryan he was targeted 23 times for 365 yards and no TD's. I honestly didn't realize Pitts only had a single TD last season. His yardage was through the roof, topping 1000 for the season.
  15. It was a hell of an athletic play on Hill's part. An INT right there would have been the icing on the cake. It not being an INT probably explains why no one is really talking about a pass break up. That being said, Hill ran approximately 70 feet from the time the ball was thrown to the WR and still broke it up. Like I said, athletic as hell. Hope he gets more chances to make plays because I think the guy is going to be good when he gets his shot.
  16. I thought the Dolphins game was going to be the springboard moving forward, but it may have been a couple weeks too early. Fast forward to yesterday's game and maybe this is the pivotal game for this team. I watched Burrow's post game Q&A and feel like he doesn't see things much different than they've ever been and acknowledged having to take the underneath stuff, which opened up the Chase TD. I liked not only what I heard, but how he said it. I know he's a confident dude, but there was some comfort hearing him talk about the team. My only thing is what appears to be a disconnect from what he said and what we see each first half of games. They need to find a way to get moving quicker. When the schedule toughens up, holding some of those offenses to FG's instead of TD's when they get in the redzone is going to be harder to accomplish.
  17. All I can say is that I hope it's going to be ok at both the interior of the d-line and linebacker positions with these injuries. They have either gone through their depth or never had any to start with. Can't forget that Joe Bachie is still out after his ACL tear in December. So Clay Johnston is it. If you go to the practice squad, you have two UDFA guys in Keandre Jones and Tegray Scales. Not sure I want to go to war with those guys, but if that's what we have, that's what we have. Then there's the d-line. As mentioned, Shelvin is still there, but we know how that story ends already. Outside of him, there's the USFL standout (not sure that means much) Domenique Davis. I don't think he's a nose tackle however, but after that, the cupboard is bare. Anyone on the other teams' practice squads that interest you?? https://www.nfl.com/news/nfl-practice-squad-tracker-team-by-team-roster-signings-ahead-of-the-2022-season
  18. Hate to say it, but Wilson going down for any point in time is going to be problematic for this defense. I have been yelling about LB’s for years. Depth is lacking in my opinion, but I guess we will see. I would be happy to know this isn’t the concern I think it is.
  19. Well they put it on the 49er’s today for sure. Should be an interesting game but I’m not in a mood to watch them flounder about all first half. Happy for the win today but those are some irritating wins. Sounds dumb I know…
  20. I really just don’t like watching this team play. Just dumb. I really wish they could figure out what they are doing week in and week out. Last year, I just knew they were going to win the game. This year it feels like they are out of it from the jump. Always hoping for a win but boy this isn’t how a game like this should go.
  21. Disregard the “Rage” comment…
  22. Holy crap, FC Cincinnati beats New York 2-1 in the opening round of the MLS Cup !! Let’s GOOOOOOOOO !!
  23. First time for everything TJ. Or in the words of one of my favorite bands of all time: "It has to start somewhere, it has to start sometime." "What better place than here, what better time than now ??" "ALL HELL CAN'T STOP US NOW !!" I'd like to see a little Rage show up in the Bengals tomorrow !!
  24. Saw Michael Thomas and Lattimore are out for the Saints.
  25. Sponsors for everyone and everything. Your port-a-shitter has been brought to you today by The Cincinnati Women's Choir. When you unroll the shitpaper, a recording of the choir can be heard.
