If my biggest concern with the team is which QB will be sitting the bench the most, I’d say we are doing alright !! Just noting what I saw last night at one of the position battles going on with the team. So ready for week 1 to get here !!

I suppose but a better line won’t help him from staring down receivers. Here’s to hoping this is Burrow’s last ding of the year.

I have never been a fan of Siemian and last night only confirmed my beliefs. Not a quality backup.

I’m happy we didn’t get banged up and will be looking forward to next Friday’s game against the Falcons. Inching closer to the regular season !! Can’t freaking wait !!

There is not much to take away from the game, minus Anderson and a few plays here and there. It’s just too hard with so few starters actually playing. While I could list more than a handful of flashes from a positive perspective, I really only have one drawback. Siemian… Rookies and backups have nothing to do with him staring down his target straight from the snap. I was paying pretty good attention to him and he rarely, if ever, worked through his progressions. He knew where he was going pre-snap and stared down his guy until he threw the ball. Even then, the throws were errant at best. That doesn’t make me a fan a Browing per se, but Siemian was flat out awful last night.

Great night to hang at the stadium. The family of our undrafted free agent WR, Mac Hippenhammer was sitting right in front of us and when he got in the game they were screaming and cheering for him. He caught a couple passes and they were really excited for him. Fun night !!

Everyone said the same thing about the prices. “Gotta pay Joe”. Part of the reason people who drink Coke would buy the souvenir cup was for free refills. Well, they got rid of that too. No free refills. That special cup will now cost $9.55. Such is life…

The no information on a return is because teams don't have to give out injury information if they don't want to at this point. So you don't think Burrow should step on the field without a new deal despite having two years left on his current contract? It also can't be forgotten that they can always use the tag after his option year, so it's really at a minimum of 3 years of control on the team's part. They could even tag again, but that's typically not a financial option for most teams. There is no win for Burrow heading in that direction. I agree the deal still gets done sooner rather than later, but suggesting it's going to happen because of his current injury or to suggest he shouldn't get back on the field is pointless. There is simply nothing that points to either of those things being the case.

Dude, I love this team and am fucking amped beyond belief for this season to get going. I love the free agents we brought in, I love the rookies we drafted and we will have another great season. We will be screaming tonight just like it was a real game. FOOTBALL IS FUCKING BACK IN THE NATI BITCHES !!

You beat me to the punch there Hoosier !! Well done !! I will be watching whatever rookies get a chance to play tonight, along with any free agents brought in, if they get any time. The QB's will be worth watching, because one of those guys will be backing up Burrow. I'm thinking it's Siemian, but will see. Outside of that, it will be nice to be back down in the stadium again with my son. Don't care who wins, JUST NO INJURIES !! Big shout out to Mem !!

Jonah being an at least average RT is well within his capability. It's not like he never played the position or that it's such a huge endeavor that it can't be overcome. I think it's him getting out of his own damn way. He was butthurt by Brown coming in. Get over it. Him being more versatile will bring him more money on the open market next year, he's good. Just play well, win a Super Bowl, and then go cash in with another team in free agency. Buh bye. If he were that irreplaceable, the team wouldn't have brought in Brown without a thought and make him the starter.

The Bengals don't have to give him a deal, so I'm not sure I understand him returning after he gets his deal. They picked up his 5th year option for 2024, so if they so desired, they could sit on it for the time being. They could turn their attention to getting Tee's deal done and then revisit Burrow at a later date. While I would rather see them get Burrow's deal done, that happening is not predicated on his injury.

The thing is, teams don’t have to say anything about injuries at this point. His fucking leg could have fallen off and he’s bleeding out, but still projected as the week 1 starter. I’m still not even a little bit worried.

For the record, I miss the daily reports.

I have zero faith in any QB depth. If Burrow goes down, they are done.

It’s like tuning into the Reds games and seeing the line in how many hits Votto is going have, how many strikeouts Ashcraft is going to have, and so on and so on. Seems out of place to me while trying to simply watch the game.

I look at it from the perspective of if the majority of the reports coming out of camp say how much they are struggling, they run the risk of people not being as interested in the team and not getting butts in seats. Are there factual reports? Of course there are and yes, the o-line was a well known weakness heading into last year. Like I said though, I love reading it. I just don’t go 100% believing it all.

If there’s one thing I’ve learned regarding this time of the season, it’s that everyone looks great in camp, the write ups are almost always glowing, and they are all pretty much not something to get worked up about. Don’t get me wrong, I love reading all of it, but simply take it with a grain of salt.

I am of the mine of thought that thinks Murphy gets plenty of snaps. Whether simply as a backup to give Hubbard and T-Rex a breather or in different packages where he’s simply the head hunter. Glad we have Sample and Ossai, but my money is on Murphy getting the lion’s share of snaps after the starters. Then again, I’m totally guessing…

Just goes to show how stupid that situation was and how stupid people still are about it. Burfict hasn't been in the league for 4 years and it's been 5 since he played for the Bengals. Basically an entire overall of what the organization was back in 2018, but whatever. Burfict has ZERO to do with the Bengals today and to be honest, that's the first time I've seen his name in quite some time. But hey Steelers fans, if it takes bringing up Burfict to light a fire under your team, I think you have bigger problems.
