Farewell Andy Dalton

Recommended Posts

OMG that Dak injury is sooooooo nasty!

I hate it for him because he was betting on himself for a new contract and turned down huge offers.

Somewhere in Texas, Andy is cracking a beer, lighting up a cigar, and saying “there but for the grace of God go I...”

I wonder if we'll see Dalton in the playoffs, will be interesting. He'll be facing his former team at PBS on Dec. 13th as well.

It looks like Dalton vs. Burrow is going to happen this season in PBS.     Dalton has a good chance to end up in the playoffs that division is on pace to be won by 7 win team.

Dalton had great command on his offense while he was here and avoided a ton of hits and sacks.   Burrow as a rookie with his great promise simply doesn't have that yet.  Burrow hasn't mastered the chuck and duck yet.   The Bengals have failed since 2016 to improve pass protection.

Shameful and the worse part is that every talking head that claimed Bengals will ruin Burrow might have been right.

When the bengals actually had an o-line Dalton flourished here. Hue Jackson was the best OC this team has had, the o-line was playing awesome and Dalton was playing great before he got hurt.

Don’t freaking ruin Burrows career here like you did Dalton, please get rid of Taylor and these coaches now!!!

The whole schtick with Dalton here was getting the ball out quickly, he was good at "that."  It helped cover up the protection issues on the line as well.  I hope he succeeds there and wish him well, but I can't help to think he is going to drive Cowboys' fans crazy with turnovers and dumb mistakes.  Maybe with the talent around him there he'll be available to avoid a lot of that.  You can win with him if you got a great running game and solid defense and o-line.

He was lucky he didn't throw a pick 6 yesterday. And the two jumpballs to Gallup were prayers. But, glad he got that moment. He's a good guy.

Post 2016; Dalton covered up a lot of protection issues.    The Bengals need to bring out the Finley playbook for Burrow and dial in this running game instead of putting the entire offense on Burrow's very capable shoulders just to protect Burrow from massive amounts of hits.

Burrow is not going to get rid of that football without keeping his eyes down the field and looking to make a play.   Let's not ruin that.

Andy on prime time never fails to entertain.  Opens with a pick six that the guy inexplicable drops.  Ends two plays later with a near safety.

Dre Kirkpatrick blatantly pushes a receiver down, picks Andy off, and no call.  Tough to see how that wasn’t called.  Andy got reamed on that one.
