Yea they need to clean house of some of these players anymore.Hopefully that happens.

I saw Lap was talking about Jack Del Rio, and something about Paul Alexander, I missed the conversation though so not sure what all was said.

Jack Del Rio wouldn't be a bad DC though if they hire him

Yes Lap was talking big about Del Rio.  Marvin basically gave him his start as LB coach on those Raven teams.

Based on that alone, I’d expect at least an inquiry to Del Rio.  Lap had the sound of confidence.

In the last 10 minutes something jumped in my head and I immediately went to YouTube to find the clip.
There is actually a way where I would continue following and supporting this team.
At todays Bengals press conference, I want to see Marvin act out this scene.
For that, I would remain...

Del Rio as DC?  Yes I'll take that.  Assuming he proves to be a docile lap dog for the Brown family, he'll jump to the top  of the list for Head Coach candidates whenever this farce repeats itself.

Marvin back ....Lazor still here.....Alexander continues to exist. WTF just happened to my 2018 ???

Hmmmm having SERIOUS second thoughts about the family trip over for a couple of games next season.

Lazor's a big "meh" - honestly I'm not sure they could find someone better at this point (or would be willing to).

What I want to know is if they're going to bring in a real o-line coach with new run-blocking schemes and scouts, or just quietly keep Alexander as "Assistant Head Coach" while that whole situation gets so little attention from the media here.

If they keep that deadbeat loser this franchise can f'k off because that offense won't be any different.

My favorite - since 2013 they've drafted 8 offensive linemen and only one, Russell Bodine, has become a consistent starter.  And he's a free agent this off season.

They didn't bother to mention that Bodine's inability to block in '15 and '16 just about wrecked our offense in those years.

So glad this dude's gone.  He earned it.  I don't mean to sound like a broken record, but Paul Alexander has his own method of blocking.  No one else in the league coaches it or utilizes it.

Not to bore you guys, but he coaches them to take one hand off the shoulder/chest area, and put that hand down on the opponent's hip, trying to turn  and guide the guy with that low hand.

You lose leverage, you lose power, and you get your ass bullrushed right back into Andy's face.

It's on the front of the enquirer's Bengals page.  They say Alexander's gone after more than two decades.  They then proceeded to use about 4 paragraphs to absolutely eviscerate him.  Nothing mean, just stating facts.

Well there you have it.  Two decades of Marvin and he'll eventually be gone.   Two decades, lol.

Line coaches pro and college come to his annual seminar.   He's a scapegoat.    Marvin self scouted Bodine.

It was time for Paul to go on the heals of 3 badly failed o-line picks.   It's time for Marvin to go.  Of course it's time for the Brown to sell the team.   Tobin as well.

None of these moves gets them any further, IMO.        I'd like see proof that it was solely Alexander that thought Ced and Hopkins was better than Whit ans Z and therefore the franchise tag sat on the sidelines and the self imposed salary cap of only being able to sign Dre or Whit was a good idea.

I'll be open to thinking differently the morning I'm smoking ribs and other dead animals of the Marvin/Katie/Tobin led bengals playing in the AFC championship game.

Marvin had great lines before and couldn't win shit.

However 2 decades of the same positional coach makes as much since as a playoff loser coaching 15 years.

Zimmer did a hell of job as DC.   Marvin couldn't win shit.    Jack Del Rio brings a cool name and maybe he does just as good a job as Zimmer.

Marvin still here with Katie and the self imposed hard cap.

You know what? I won’t let mike brown break me. I will remain a fan just to spite him. Because him trying to break all of the fan base is the only reason I can come up with for this.

I agree with this approach. For one thing, I can't see myself being a true fan of another team. It's almost like a horribly dysfunctional relationship, where we get abused but keep coming back. Lewis is our Ike.

The real test (beyond the last 15 years) will be if we spend any money on this team. But just understand that the NFL is socialist, so by spending any money on the NFL, you support the Bengals.

You'e welcome.
