Everyone play back and just make sure you tackle when they catch the ball. Worst defense at the end Golden! For once just once blitz quit letting QBs feel comfortable back there. If you’re going to take out your best players and substitute on every play, then you need to do something to create pressure!!!! Hire Mike Zimmer please this team needs a hard ass on defense who will actually coach them. Coaching is everything! Bengals defense used to suck then they hired Zimmer and next thing you know they are a top 10 unit! Coaching matters and Golden is not it! 1 Quote
HoosierCat Posted October 11 Author Report Posted October 11 They were up 18 in the fourth so I get the call to turtle up on offense and play prevent on defense. Problem is that they don’t have a good enough run game at this point to reliably chew clock on O, and the D loses contain and misses too many tackles to play prevent effectively. Throw in another week with a crucial penalty on teams, some poor ball security and the usual underwhelming in-game coaching, and what ought to have been a rout came down to stopping an onside kick. Bottom line, this is a sloppy team, and I don’t get the impression that they are taking fixing it very seriously yet. Quote

Keep everything in front of you and tackle them, not let them get 5-6 extra yards I mean come on. 3rd and 13 does not mean let the QB run for 30 yards! 1 Quote

So they are so up and down as a defense right now, it sucks. I’m guessing it’s when Lawerence is in and when Lawrence is out. 1 Quote
