So they’re going to lose now that I started the thread and not Army, but it’s Monday afternoon and Pitt is already flailing around.

Pittman played in week 1, then was out with a foot injury versus NE. He may not go Sunday, we’ll find out as the week progresses.

Next Little Porter is also still a question mark. Also also, the Steelers may bench starting RT Dylan Cook in favor of rookie Max Iheanachor.

Bottom line, good to see the Steelers organization in turmoil. More, please.

Don’t want to jinx anything, but giving Roger’s his farewell tour year was a bit of a head scratcher.  That’s Green Bay’s job, the Steelers don’t owe this blowhard anything.  If they want their season to serve as Rogers’ swan song, so be it.

Annoying to have to face another awesome pass rushing front immediately after Houston. I think their ends in particular should be a bit less awful a matchup for Orlando Brown, at least. I think Mims can neutralize Watt, but Herbig/Highsmith/Heyward are still there.

Keep Joe alive.

I know this doesnt directly relate to game 3......but......there are already 3 or 4 starting qbs out for extended periods with injuries.

The Giants starter joined that list last night

I expect calls are already coming in inquiring about Flaccos availability.  I hope the FO listens but establishes a VERY high price for Flacco.  Like multiple day 1 and day 2 picks plus maybe a starting LB.  As injury prone as Burrow has been we need a strong backup, and as such we should only be considering excessively generous offers

But i am all but certain the offers are already being made

On a related note, i have to guess the NFL has got to be thinking about more protections for the QB position, as all these injuries are seriously degrading the quality of their product.

If i am God-dell, this is my number one concern right now

I agree. I don't want Flacco traded unless there's a hell of a deal. We need him.

Josh Johnson has been in the league for 900 years. They can sign him.

Pittsburgh wilk be hurting after last Sunday and wanting to re-establish a claim in the AFCN in one of the Leagues bitterest rivalries. Early in the season granted, but Pitts will not be wanting to fall 2 games behind before the end of Sept.

Get ready for them to bring the house against the Bengals, they'll be wanting to defile us !!

Oline (looking at you OBJ) needs to up the performance level and stop the sacks !!

Hoosier, if they lose this game so help me God because...

What I do have are a very particular set of skills.  Skills I have acquired over a very long career.
Skills that make me a nightmare for people like you (that mess with a win streak).
If you (delete this post) now, that'll be the end of it.  I will not look for you.  I will not pursue you.
But if you don't, I will look for you.  I WILL find you.... and I will kill you.

And if you say good luck, I will burn all Arby's to the ground within a 100 mile radius of your house.

Guess what movie I decided to waste time watching for the umpteenth time?
Kidding of course.  I mean I would never do that to an Arby's...

I just hope the Bengals dont look past this game, trusting that it will be an easy win

Division games are never easy.  Ever.  And especially so on the road

The phrase "any given sunday" is especially applicable to division games

I have three hopes for this game in addition to winning (ofc) and no injuries (ofc)

In no particular order

1. Put a TE in on the left side on every single offensive snap to help OBJ.  chip n go.  Either Sample or All.  I prefer All.  Do this right from the start

2. Pull Burrow if we go up 4 scores in the 1st half or 3 scores in the 2nd half

3. Stats from first two games indicates that Rodgers is playing very badly when blitzed.  Rush 5+ frequently

No injuries aside, there is one thing that would make me happy in this game.
Blow them the fuck out.  Just a good dominating ass whooping.
I'll gladly take any type of win, especially since it's a division game, but that would be great.

Most importantly is jumping out to a 1-0 start in division play in a game they should win.

So far my afc representative looks really good.

Obviously a division game so sometimes these games are weird but it's time for Cincinnati to hit the gas and blow these guys out. The Bengals are the far superior team, no porter Jr most likely and the Bengals oline should be good protecting burrow

The Steelers offense looks absolutely atrocious, like seriously bad

Bengals 34
Steelers 10

Agree 100%.  And I think the league will respond this week with the kind of officiating that says one thing: don’t touch these quarterbacks.

When they first implemented the new qb protections, they would call almost anything.  Like if you bumped a QB’s facemask as he released the ball, they’d call it.  But like a lot of the emphasis type call adjustments, the interpretations of these incidents relaxed and defenses got back to hitting QBs.  I think you’ll see renewed emphasis this week on qb protections.  It will work to our advantage, in my opinion.

My only worry going into this game is that Pitt is a dirty team, always have been, always will be. There’s a clip circulating of Watt trying to roll up a guy going around if you need proof, but I know no one here does.

Pitt may have a good pass rush, but right now so do we — and our QB isn’t an immobile 40-plus-year-old. Oh and the Steelers oline stinks. Our dline should feast.

Bengals should win this in a romp, division game or no. Cheap shot injuries are my only concern.

The only upside to your otherwise lack of judgement, is the power of my Geno Atkins jersey which was worn again down in Houston.  While it's the old style jersey which many dislike and Atkins is not a recognizable name in opposing stadiums, do not be fooled by the sheer power of my jersey.  Clearly there was some divine intervention with Dexter busting through the o-line on the 4th and inches stop....  You're welcome.  And the catch by Ja'Marr?  Yeah you guessed it, I was caressing the 9 and 7 jersey numbers when the ball was in the air.  Duh.

So, for the time being you are safe Hoosier as I will be wearing it again this coming Sunday.

FEAR GENO ATKINS !!!

Considerations for this game.

Unsure if WR Michael Pittman will be back, but he was out for Sunday's game.
The receiving threat to focus on has more to do with Freiermuth after Dalton Schultz went for 140 against us.

They haven't had a rusher rush for more than 46 yards in either game, so I see that working to our advantage.
Rodgers can still make throws, but under pressure he has struggled through the first two weeks.
That is where I want to see the defense focus in this game.  Bring pressure and of course solid tackling.

While recognizing they still have TJ Watt bringing pressure, I don't think their defense is what it use to be.
We should be able to game plan for Watt and ensure OBJ doesn't have a repeat performance this week.

While I love the win over Houston Sunday, this one would be particularly satisfying.

The Steelers defense & to a lesser extent the ravens defense live off the past reputation.

I've said for half a decade now the ravens are overrated generally but that that defense is overrated big time . The rhetoric before the 23 afc championship against kc was borderline bizarre and silly. I knew kc would win and it was shocking how dumb the analysis was. They're front runners and the saints game just confirmed what has always been the case

Even Kyle Hamilton ( a really good player) is not this great safety ppl think. He has 1 int in the past 2 yrs. Smith at linebacker is absolutely terrible in space, they don't have an organic pass rush. They are depending on a 40 yr old and 37 yr old up front. Humphrey is washed

Once I saw Jesse Minter sing the Eminem song I immediately knew he was a clown and dismissed their chances

It's the Bengals division as long as they stay relatively healthy

First of all I will say this team last week, was most physical they have played in years, I swear it was like they were the bullies and so awesome to watch!

For this week I’m with others and hope that any little success they might be having gets in there head, and they somehow lay an egg. Not really sure that would happen there are a lot smart veteran guys to help with that I would think.

The defense has been so fun to watch for the most part and keeping them out of the end zone last week was awesome. Would love to see some better coverage on the TEs think we have been saying that since Marvin was coaching, but I don’t know maybe try playing Dugger on them, figure that out. Hopefully the LBs continue to grow as well,  would really like to say they hit woth those guys.

Alright time for the midseason Burrow and offense to show up, I’m so ready to just watch this team explode on offense, and see if the defense can continue to gel and get even better. Win these divisional games and it starts this week, and nothing would better then to watch this team blow the Steelers up!!!

I saw where their RB Rico Dowdle is day to day with a toe injury as well.
He probably goes on Sunday, but something to keep an eye on for them if he can't.
Jaylen Warren is the starter there.

Yoshi hurt his thumb and will need surgery. Sounds like a few weeks, so not season-ending.

Meyers will have his opportunity.

Yup. Reports are Yoshi will miss 4-6 weeks. Tough break.
