LOL Hey Philip! How many SBs have you been to? I wish Burrow wasn’t injury prone because I can’t fathom what kind of stats he’d have now. BUT, it is what it is! Quote
COB Posted December 13, 2025 Report Posted December 13, 2025 32 GMs in this league. Probably 29 would trade Burrow for their starting qb right now. 1 Quote

Stripes Posted December 13, 2025 Report Posted December 13, 2025 It's good for the sports world that these terrible shows are dying in favor of shortform content. It's also bad for the world in just about every other way. But at least it gets these idiots out of my face. 1 Quote
gregcook69 Posted December 14, 2025 Report Posted December 14, 2025 Personally, I can see the logic of having a winning team like the Bears and not wanting to take a chance on giving up Williams for Burrow, UNLESS Williams was willing to be the backup! Burrow’s injury track record is what it is! Even when Burrow WAS on the field all year, like 2024, he led the league in passing and still didn’t make the playoffs. So his ‘greatness’ is no guarantee unless management is willing to build a team around him! Remember the Eifert fiasco. Having a great player is fine as long as he’s on the field! Quote

If burrow had just avg defense, he's be viewed like Tom Brady As a bills fan I have said Allen is great. I've compared him to Elway... A Hof QB imo He's not as good as Burrow Quote

The concern isn’t how ‘good’ he is, it’s his ability to stay healthy and ON THE FIELD! Tyler Eifert could have been as good as Gronkowski, but he was too injury prone! Brady missed a season with ACL but the Pats STILL went 11-5. Outside of that one season and a game or so every now and then, he was healthy and durable. Yes he was benefitted by the coddling rules the NFL changed but if he had been injury prone things would have been much different! Quote

I wonder if the Bengals will change their offensive philosophy next year to a more power running team, to help protect Burrow. It's the biggest revisionist history about Brady's career that nobody talks about. Those pats teams had a great running game Quote
ArmyBengal Posted December 14, 2025 Report Posted December 14, 2025 Why does anyone listen to anything these idiots have to say? Literally no reason to give it a second of time. Quote

ArmyBengal Posted December 14, 2025 Report Posted December 14, 2025 No I think you’re confused… It’s not that I’m missing your point it’s that I don’t care. Im asking specifically why any fan bothers to listen to the ramblings of some idiot former player that is no longer relevant and was never a QB. 1 Quote

ArmyBengal Posted December 14, 2025 Report Posted December 14, 2025 No I didn’t listen or read anything about this dude’s comments about Burrow. It would be like anyone listening to me talk about how to repair a car. Pointless… Quote
volcom69 Posted December 15, 2025 Report Posted December 15, 2025 Your better off staying away from social media and whatever bull shit they put out on these stupid shows anymore. 1 Quote

(Chris Broussard not Canty) Quote
ArmyBengal Posted December 15, 2025 Report Posted December 15, 2025 I have no idea what’s going on inside Burrow’s head and anyone listening to me suggest I do should really get looked at. I can take a guess like we all do but where I won’t land, even with all of my inexperience is that Joe Burrow ISN’T one of the best QB’s in the league. Canty is just trying to get people to tune in due to his outlandish comments. No one cares about that dude anymore. Quote
AMPHAR Posted December 15, 2025 Report Posted December 15, 2025 Burrow is down and those shows love to kick when players are down. Point being Burrow IS DOWN. The Bengals offense collective QB rating is shit. Their overall production is shit compared to how much cap room was dumped into them. The amount of turnovers from that offense is shit. What's to argue? Burrow isn't elite this year. Its the number one reason to fire Zac Taylor. So I don't really see what there is to disagree with. Quote
ArmyBengal Posted December 15, 2025 Report Posted December 15, 2025 Burrow is certainly shit this year, but was that the argument? He wasn't elite THIS year? Again, I didn't read or listen to whatever Canty had to say about Burrow only what was discussed within this thread. Give me a minute to waste a few more brain cells.... Ok, so I listened to his comment. Fucking stupid. Why can their only be 3 "Elite" QB's? Is there a rule? Couldn't there be more than 3 at any given time? Not only that, there's no thought to horrible o-line play. There's no thought to horrible defensive play the last two plus seasons. Cam Newton said it properly, give Burrow an average o-line and average defense and what would you expect? Again, listening to a former DE spout off the only way to properly judge a QB as "Elite" is hilarious. Totally discounting looking at things which are outside of the QB's play, but play a massive part of their success. Had Burrow and the Bengals made the playoffs last year despite that HORRENDOUS defense, he would have been the MVP. It took above average play in those other areas for people like Lamar and Josh to get there. Burrow almost did it alone. I'm not arguing Burrow was great THIS year. Clearly between the injury and his play when he returned, he was not. To suggest because of those 5 games this year that he's not a great QB is just stupid. CLICKBAIT comments from an assclown. This shit is stupid.. 1 Quote
ArmyBengal Posted December 15, 2025 Report Posted December 15, 2025 All that being said, I hope Joe continues to suck this season along with the rest of the team. Seeing as how I do not believe how one season ends is an indicator for how the following season will go, I expect Burrow to have a stellar year next season. If the defense gets to above average, which I said heading into this season, I expect a deep playoff run and MVP type play from him. This is assuming he enters camp healthy and stays that way relatively through the season in 2026. The Chiefs probably won't be a consideration in 2026 with Mahomes going down late in the season with an ACL, so there's that to consider. Quote

I know you rarely read complete posts when they come from someone you don’t like, but MY point was the clip I posted from Chris Broussard, implying that there are several teams, that are in decent shape and have good QBs, that wouldn’t take a chance on Burrow BECAUSE of him being injury prone! I agree and he couldn’t go WHEREVER he wanted to! THEIR guys, like Herbert, Williams, Goff, Love, Nix, Maye, Stroud, Lawrence, aren’t nearly as good as Burrow, but they are ON the grand a lot more durable than Burrow! Quote
