Week 6: Bengals @ Packers

Zac says he will decide on a starting QB on Wednesday.

He also says he will not give up play calling duties.

Personally planning to watch this via the Tom Grossi livecast on YouTube.

I hope Patrick is back for the o-line, I would like to actually see him and Risner at guard just to see if that brings anything stable to it. In Patrick’s only the drives he had they actually moved the ball he got hurt and the offense sucked.

Rivers was actually their second best lineman yesterday, per pff.

Rivers looks better than Risner.    Unless someone is removing clips from the All-22s that are finding their way out.   I don't really think the line is primary problem for lack of scoring.    I see a QB that's in shotgun the majority of the time in a mostly clean pocket.

Yea even with a clean pocket Brownings passes were awful most of the time. 
 

I mean it’s being thrown around even in the locker room that Zacs play calling is so predictable that teams no what’s going to happen.

I also remember this from a couple of years ago that teams were playing 2 high safety all the time and this passing game struggled. Somehow Zac fixed this after a few games and things started rolling. Not sure if that will happen again this year, but every year it’s the same shit, until Zac figures something out this offense sucks!

Well, whoever the QB is this week, it won't be Mike White as he just got released to make room for Cross on the PS.

Strange to release the only other QB who has in game experience. Maybe that Rypien guy does not sure. Weird move. Guess will see if it means anything

Rypien has a handful of starts in which he’s been uniformly terrible (4 tds, 9 ints, 59.9 rating) so he’s no threat to take the wheel. FWIW Dehner doesn’t think any of the QBs on the roster (including White) were under consideration to go in Browning’s place. Only way they change horses is if they bring in a guy, and there’s no sign of that.

In short, all signs point to Jake.

Thankfully Zac is still going to be calling plays so there's hope.  Oh wait...

I use the Score app to keep up with various sports.  They do an nfl power rankings weekly.

This week we are 31st, Jets are last.  Their comments on us were as follows:

“Joe Burrow's absence is highlighting the fact that this is one of the worst-constructed rosters in football. Zac Taylor's staff doesn't do much to compensate, either. Are we sure the Bengals will win another game this season?“

Bengals trading for Joe Flacco.  I think that is an awesome move without knowing compensation and just valuing an upgrade over Browning.

They better find the best o-line to put In front of him. The ball better come out quick, or he won’t last long. Not my first choice, but can’t be any worse than Browning at this point, hopefully he will know where to put the ball.

Swapped our 5th for their 6th and Flacco.  They were giving him away really.
Stranger things have happened.  It's not like the offense is devoid of talent.
Going to cost the Bengals less than $2 million for the remainder of the season.

Wouldn't that be crazy to see Burt snap into full beast mode and have the Bengals win the AFC North?

He will. As for the line, go back and watch the Lions game, Browning had time, just couldn’t see the field and couldn’t deliver the ball on target.
