COB Posted November 9, 2023 Report Posted November 9, 2023 Need Tee Higgins and Chase both. It looks like a high scoring game is very possible, need those guys. Quote

Hopefully they both can just rest it up and have a chance come Sunday. Looks like last week was a good week to break in the TE playbook. Might need more of the unstoppable Drew Sample Sunday! Quote
ArmyBengal Posted November 9, 2023 Report Posted November 9, 2023 Can't wait for this game. We follow the Texans pretty closely here and they are a team that has become fun to watch again. Stroud has certainly worked out and they picked up some players in free agency that have helped as well. Unfortunately for them, they have like 20+ guys injured at the moment and it's going to be hard for them to overcome all the injuries. The one I think hurts them a lot is RB Pierce. They have some other guys in there, but they aren't Pierce, so that helps the Bengals. WR Nico Collins also got dinged up and if he's hobbled, that bodes well for our secondary. TE Dalton Schultz was a great FA pick up and Stroud has benefitted in having him to throw to. Add in rookie WR Tank Dell and they really are a fun team to get behind. All that being said, I don't think the Houston defense will be able to adequately cover all the weapons the Bengals have, even if Chase can't go. That doesn't mean this is going to be a cakewalk by any stretch, but this is a game they should win. The Bengals just have to do what good teams should do, in beating the teams you are suppose to beat. My buddy and his family are flying in from Houston to catch the game at PayCor, so it's going to be a good weekend either way around. The fact it's suppose to be sunny and in the mid 50's in the middle of November is a Godsend !!! Bengals-27 Texans-17 1 Quote
HoosierCat Posted November 9, 2023 Author Report Posted November 9, 2023 Baby: Bengals WRs Ja’Marr Chase (back) and Tee Higgins (hamstring) not present for the open portion of practice. https://www.threads.net/@bbaby41/post/Czb4hW1Omwy/?igshid=NTc4MTIwNjQ2YQ== Update: Bengals WR Ja’Marr Chase just walked out with a jersey and is going through stretch. Tee Higgins also walked out but doesn’t have a jersey. https://www.threads.net/@bbaby41/post/Czb59BfOMQI/?igshid=NTc4MTIwNjQ2YQ== Quote
volcom69 Posted November 9, 2023 Report Posted November 9, 2023 Looked like yesterday the Texans had like 100 players on the injury report lol, not sure about today though Quote
HoosierCat Posted November 9, 2023 Author Report Posted November 9, 2023 Chase limited Higgins DNP Quote
COB Posted November 9, 2023 Report Posted November 9, 2023 Higgins unlikely to play. But Trenton Irwin had a good game already this year, and Iosivas looks ready. Hopefully those two will step up. Houston’s defensive backfield is about middle of the pack. Quote
Stripes Posted November 10, 2023 Report Posted November 10, 2023 I figure it's Chase in and Higgins out. Gotta handle business either way. Joe's good enough to elevate the receivers he has to work with. It may also facilitate a little more Tanner Hudson Time. Quote
Stripes Posted November 10, 2023 Report Posted November 10, 2023 Spoiler Video in the spoiler for anyone who feels like listening to two men twiddling their nipples over Joe Burrow. I certainly felt like it. Quote
TJJackson Posted November 10, 2023 Report Posted November 10, 2023 Too bad the supermodel didnt work out, but at least COB got his driveway powerwashed Quote
COB Posted November 10, 2023 Report Posted November 10, 2023 Now Hubbard is out. Injuries catching up with us a little. Ossai and Murphy, tighten your chinstraps a bit. Quote
TJJackson Posted November 10, 2023 Report Posted November 10, 2023 yep, Ossai and Murphy should get a lot more playing time, which I see as a plus Nothing against Hubbard - just need to get the newer DEs more playing time to prove their worth Quote
ArmyBengal Posted November 10, 2023 Report Posted November 10, 2023 Not trying to jinx the whole thing, but even without Higgins and Hubbard, they should still be able to beat the Texans. Again, not that any of this is easy, just saying is all. Next man up and go kick some ass. Quote
Stripes Posted November 10, 2023 Report Posted November 10, 2023 The injuries suck, but Houston has far more of them. The Bengals simply need to take care of business. No excuses. Quote
ArmyBengal Posted November 10, 2023 Report Posted November 10, 2023 No. No excuses at all. 8 of the 23 on the Texans injury list have been ruled out. Many of those 8 are starters. 1 Quote
HoosierCat Posted November 11, 2023 Author Report Posted November 11, 2023 Baby: Bengals WR Charlie Jones (thumb) has been downgraded to out for Sunday’s game against Houston https://www.threads.net/@bbaby41/post/CzhHXbSuqx2/?igshid=NTc4MTIwNjQ2YQ== Quote
volcom69 Posted November 11, 2023 Report Posted November 11, 2023 Here’s a thought I know they are a passing team, but maybe run the ball a little more and use the RB and TE in the passing game more. If Chase starts maybe limit his time, and get him ready for next week, not that I’m looking past this game. Might be tough with these guys to throw down field all game, but hoping Yoshi has a huge game here. 1 Quote
HoosierCat Posted November 11, 2023 Author Report Posted November 11, 2023 I think I finally found out where mem’s been. https://www.threads.net/@abc7newsbayarea/post/CzctBvjrlFD/?igshid=NTc4MTIwNjQ2YQ== Quote
Stripes Posted November 12, 2023 Report Posted November 12, 2023 Chase is playing per Rapoport. Quote
COB Posted November 12, 2023 Report Posted November 12, 2023 The CJ Stroud hype train could run over thousands of tailgating fans as it heads it Paycor. Be vigilant, people. Head on a swivel. Quote
volcom69 Posted November 12, 2023 Report Posted November 12, 2023 Just run it on 3rd and 1 what the heck Quote
volcom69 Posted November 12, 2023 Report Posted November 12, 2023 Yea that was a Hudson drive for sure and looked good. Texans defense was flying around so that pass by Burrow was huge . Quote
