that aside, I am very very surprised that they didnt bring in anyone to take Reader's spot.   I dont think they even tried anyone out.  wtf dudes?   Yeah, youre not gonna find another Reader, but you still need more than one NT on the roster

No roster addition to fill the hole at TE with Sample to IR as well

They’re probably working on the premise that they already brought in help at those positions on cut down day (Tufele and Asiasi).

Tufele is waaaaaayyyy underweight for a NT tho, and he got no snaps last week even with Reader out

They do seem to like Cam Sample as a versatile option.

Shelvin has a L O T to prove.  other than one good play in the Superbowl, he just seems to be pushed around like a giant blimp

Thats a crazy fast return for CTB.  wow.  Like they had a three week window to activate him, and here he's active after like what, 3 days?  after not practicing for weeks?

put me down for a dollar that Shelvin gets 10 or less snaps and another on CTB not getting any snaps at all unless either a. two or more corners get injured, or b. its a blowout (either way) by the start of Q4

I have zero faith in Shelvin. If he’s even active I’ll be surprised. If he is and plays well I will happily eat as much crow as he wants me to.

I loved the Shelvin pick at the time, but at this point I’d be stoked to see anything from him. He did make a nice play on 4th down in the Titans playoff game. I guess.

Shelvin just strikes me as one of those guys that got by in college due to his size, then gets to the NFL only to find out that not only isn’t he the biggest, but he’s not the fastest or strongest either.

CTB was pretty active in practice this week- he was running scout team as Lamar Jackson so that likely means he's moving plenty well.

I get that CTB was active, but getting snaps as a pretend "Lamar Jackson" isnt getting him ready to play CB

that said, this isnt a slam on him.....I am amazed how fast he got activated.  I really am.

Spent the weekend in San Antonio with my oldest who is turning 16 this week. Will be watching the game tonight down on the river walk. Hoping to run into some more Bengals fans along the way.
