COB Posted March 13, 2017 Report Posted March 13, 2017 For gosh sakes, what are they waiting for? Oh yes, I remember. Letting everyone visit other teams and get dissed or lowballed so by the time they talk to Cinci they're desperate. Quote
cincyhokie Posted March 13, 2017 Report Posted March 13, 2017 Have the Bengals had a good LB corps under Marvin Lewis since he's been here? Have the Bengals EVER had a good LB corps? I'd hate to see them get better and faster on the edges to actually compete with Pittsburgh. God, my sarcasm is taking over me. This steaming pile of horseshit team. Eff them. 1 Quote
HoosierCat Posted March 13, 2017 Author Report Posted March 13, 2017 According to Hobson, Moobs is also expected to drop by at some point. Quote
HoosierCat Posted March 13, 2017 Author Report Posted March 13, 2017 Rex visiting NE today. http://profootballtalk.nbcsports.com/2017/03/13/rex-burkhead-visiting-the-patriots-today/ Quote
ArmyBengal Posted March 13, 2017 Report Posted March 13, 2017 Great, Barwin who moved from OLB to DE last year and looked out of place in a 4-3 is coming in for a visit. Glad we switched to a 3-4 !!! Wait, what ?? Oh, nevermind... On another great note, Burkhead is visiting the Patriots today. Anyone not see this coming ?? My guess is he doesn't leave Foxboro. This is another spot I think the Bengals screwed up, but that's just me. I wish Rex the best of luck. What a good dude. Quote
HoosierCat Posted March 13, 2017 Author Report Posted March 13, 2017 Just watch. Rex will sign with the Pats and immediately start producing 1,200+ all-purpose yards and 12-15 TDs a year. The Bengals will draft a back early and he'll average 0.2 ypc behind our crap oline. 1 Quote
volcom69 Posted March 13, 2017 Report Posted March 13, 2017 The whole bengals front office is a bunch of screw ups! Quote
COB Posted March 13, 2017 Report Posted March 13, 2017 Honestly, Rex has options. And one of those options is Cincinnati. But with the current state of our offense, his agent will very likely tell him to forget about the Bengals. Pretty sound advice unless you know something about an incredible new, undetectable, PED program sweeping through our o-line room. Quote
TJJackson Posted March 13, 2017 Report Posted March 13, 2017 The guy who we should be bringing in for a look-see at OT is a former Bengal. No, no....not the Flesh Zeppelin.....I mean this guy: http://www.espn.com/blog/afcnorth/post/_/id/90870/what-do-big-money-lt-contracts-mean-for-steelers-alejandro-villanueva 1 Quote
AMPHAR Posted March 13, 2017 Report Posted March 13, 2017 No to Villanueva. As soon as he loses the Steeler benefits from the Refs not seeing holding he's out of the league. 1 Quote
TJJackson Posted March 13, 2017 Report Posted March 13, 2017 He can't be worse than Oogie, even without benefit of the Steelers bias. Quote
HoosierCat Posted March 13, 2017 Author Report Posted March 13, 2017 A little background on Robinson: http://www.nj.com/giants/index.ssf/2017/01/free_agent_lb_keenan_robinson_has_unfinished_busin.html He's actually a quality player but has recurring injury issues. Quote

AMPHAR Posted March 13, 2017 Report Posted March 13, 2017 Like the age and experience on Robinson. Basically think 4th rounder that's proven to be able to make a roster and earn snaps. Hopefully it can get done. Quote

ShulaSteakhouse Posted March 13, 2017 Report Posted March 13, 2017 I don't know how Barwin fits-in here exactly, but with the emphasis on the short passing game so big now, I don't know that the Bengals' run a true 4-3 much anymore, and likely need more speed and athleticism upfront in general. i'd also be on-board with Robinson, immediate upgrade there to ReyM or V-Ray, and could play in the middle. They need to sign guys like that or the defense is going to slide backwards very quickly as it did last year. Quote

COB Posted March 14, 2017 Report Posted March 14, 2017 Nice when you're role is characterized as ballast. Quote

Kazkal Posted March 14, 2017 Report Posted March 14, 2017 Abit sad to see Hunt go I know he wasn't great but still loved his potential. Quote
