HoosierCat Posted March 9, 2016 Author Report Posted March 9, 2016 E-Man follows Zim. Never really impressed me so meh. Quote
COB Posted March 9, 2016 Report Posted March 9, 2016 Eric Winston signed for a million bucks? That dude spends that much on HGH in a year, he's losing money as an NFL player. 1 Quote

volcom69 Posted March 10, 2016 Report Posted March 10, 2016 Pacman staying in Cinci, thank you!! Secondary looks much better right now. Quote
HoosierCat Posted March 10, 2016 Author Report Posted March 10, 2016 I think they would have survived but good to have him back. Even if he was a grade A dumbass in the playoffs. Haven't seen numbers yet but Hobs suggested it was sizeable given his age. Quote

HoosierCat Posted March 10, 2016 Author Report Posted March 10, 2016 Apparently it's 3 years, $20+ million, with at least $7 million this year. Wow. Quote
HoosierCat Posted March 10, 2016 Author Report Posted March 10, 2016 FWIW Hobs says the Bengals matched the Lions offer for Marvin but he wanted to go somewhere that he would have more opportunity. C'est la vie, I suppose. Quote
COB Posted March 10, 2016 Report Posted March 10, 2016 Iloka and Adam Jones both re-signed. That's success. Losing Reggie almost for sure now. Help wanted - NFL receiver, better have a huge catch radius. Quote
COB Posted March 10, 2016 Report Posted March 10, 2016 I heard Alex Mack signed with the Falcons for less money than the Browns were offering. Another kick in the balls for fans in the Mistake. Quote
HoosierCat Posted March 10, 2016 Author Report Posted March 10, 2016 I could see Reggie back if he doesn't find much interest in FA. Same for just about any of their remaining guys, with the possible exception of Vinny. Quote
HoosierCat Posted March 10, 2016 Author Report Posted March 10, 2016 FWIW Hobs says they are focused on Vinny today. If/when that happens I'd guess they are done in FA aside from vet minimum type deals. Quote
HoosierCat Posted March 10, 2016 Author Report Posted March 10, 2016 Per the twitters, Nelson is getting a look from DC while Moobs is talking with Minny. Quote
HoosierCat Posted March 10, 2016 Author Report Posted March 10, 2016 Vinny deal done, per Rapoport. Owczarski at the Enquirer says it's 3 years, $11-12 million. Seems a bit pricey to me but that's how FA goes. Quote
Wraith Posted March 10, 2016 Report Posted March 10, 2016 Now if we can just find a way to bring Sanu back, I will be comfortable with what we have done in FA and its on to the draft. Quote
volcom69 Posted March 10, 2016 Report Posted March 10, 2016 I don't think they are bringing Sanu back, not even sure he wants to come back at this point. Quote
Wraith Posted March 10, 2016 Report Posted March 10, 2016 The longer it goes the more likely he comes back. Remember a week ago people were saying Adam Jones and Iloka were good as gone. Quote
HoosierCat Posted March 10, 2016 Author Report Posted March 10, 2016 I'm of two minds about Sanu. OTOH when injuries took out Eifert and Jones in 2014 he had a chance to step up to No. 2 and couldn't do it. He couldn't get separation and couldn't get open against top-tier defenders. So if he's just a slot guy that's not too hard to replace. OTOH if Green and Eifert are healthy they will draw the coverage and that should put him up against less capable coverage. And he does know the system and Dalton. But is that worth the reported $7 million a year? That's hard to justify. Quote
Wraith Posted March 10, 2016 Report Posted March 10, 2016 I can't believe anyone would pay $7 mil a year for Sanu and if they do, good luck....I am betting that number is an attempt by his agent to set a negotiating point. Quote
Walrus Posted March 10, 2016 Report Posted March 10, 2016 Sanu to the Falcons... per PFT http://profootballtalk.nbcsports.com/2016/03/10/mohamed-sanu-signs-with-falcons/ Quote According to multiple reports, it’s a five-year deal for Sanu worth up to $32.5 million with $14 million fully guaranteed. Quote
volcom69 Posted March 10, 2016 Report Posted March 10, 2016 Yep Sanu is now gone. Time for WR help Quote
COB Posted March 10, 2016 Report Posted March 10, 2016 Honestly, the Falcons are fricking crazy. I love Mo Sanu, but he's just a guy who is sort of jack of all trades, master of none. Run him on a gadget play, he can break a corner's tackle. Scheme him into single coverage with a linebacker and he may or may not get open. Depends on the linebacker. Good for him to get this kind of payday, I bet when he got drafted he never in his wildest dreams thought he'd pull down this much cash. Quote
