kingwilly
I would like Jones more if he were less injury-prone.Guys in Dallas always seem to end up banged up. Maybe its because they get p***y-fied by the organization? or maybe they pick injury-prone players... To me, if Felix Jones passes the physical and has the right mindset, he'd be the leading candidate...
HoosierCat
Some Geathers contract details floated out on twitter earlier: it's 3 years, $9 million, with $3.25 million (including a $1.25 million roster bonus) coming this year. So it's a slightly front-loaded deal and doesn't appear to include a signing bonus. I would bet there are similar roster bonuses in the second and third years. Bottom line, it's a year-by-year deal the Bengals can walk away from at any point with minimal to no cap consequences.
HoosierCat
Well, Bush is a Lion. Bring on Goodson.

kingwilly
And Mendenhall is a Card, thank u gawd.Good stuff. To me, Goodson would be no better/more than Scott. I don't think he's be the impact that a drafted RB could make (Like Lacy, Bernard or Bell). Heck I'm inclined to take a run at Leon Washington... ArmyBengal
Happy for Mendenhall, but only because it means he's not here.Goodson ?? NO.Just draft a RB for the future and move on.Leon Washington would be my DISTANT second option.

NO.Just draft a RB for the future and move on.Leon Washington would be my DISTANT second option.I'd be excited about Washington. I have to say, though, I was shocked to read the guy is already 30 (and will be 31 when the season starts). That would be a bit of a concern, esp for a guy we'd want to be able to feature on special teams.
volcom69
Pat Sims now a Raider. Hate to see him go, but it's time for Still and Thompson to get there chance. Good luck Pat

volcom69
They will regret letting Sims go.Maybe so but they are not going to keep 5 DT! At some point Thompson and Still will have to step up might as well be now. I'm sure Marvin told him to take a deal, because its only a 1 year deal
Stripes
Calculated risk. Still and Thompson are mostly unknown, but they're taking the gamble anyways. Hopefully one of them can at least get more consistent snaps than Sims did.
Kazkal
Liked Sims because I love Big unmovable Objects,But People who can play Defensive Tackle are a spot we are heavy in.Not only did we carry 5 Defensive Tackles last year but 3 of our Ends see time at the position too. BengalByTheBay
It's time to see if that head-scratching decision to draft both Still and Thompson at the same spot last year made any sense. If Sims had been more durable, I'd REALLY hate them letting him go. As it is I still MAY REALLY hate it, but only if Still/Thompson don't improve. Hard to get too worked up about this one. TJJackson
I would have referred to let JumpyJr go (with Still to DE on running downs in his place) and keep Sims, but ah wellThey must like Thompson a lot more than I had thought

Kazkal
Maybe some good news on resigning MJ? No one is throwing money at Cliff Avril who was considered top 5 Free Agent. So maybe we'll be able resign MJ long term to deal like Kruger...Well Avril just got scooped up by the Seahawks waiting see the contract. ArmyBengal
Damnit, Maualuga leaves Arizona without a deal...They must have gotten a hold of his tape with the Bengals and something became crystal clear.God this guy really WAS the worst MLB is the league last year !!!I was really pulling for Rey to find a new team.Sadly, he will be back with us on the cheap. What a waste of money... HoosierCat
Schefty says there is some interest in Maualuga in NY (Giants) but that "he has an offer on the table in Cincy."
volcom69
Just wish they would sign Andre so we can all move on, and they start to sign other important guys on this team before they get away. I hate seeing Sims go as well, but he only signed a 1 year deal so I guess the bengals were ready to let go.
ArmyBengal
I liked what Sims brought, but it's time to see if they have the long term answer in Thompson. He's a BIG boy who was thought of as a steal in the 3rd round. I won't lose that mush sleep.Maualuga getting a sniff in NY is due to them being done with Rivers.Yeah, that's pretty funny to me !!!
