TJJackson
Well, regarding Boom - I jumped out of my chair on two punt defense plays late in the seasonBut as a running back, I haven't seen enough of him to say one way or the otherI look forward to watching him in offensive snaps in the preseason, especially his blocking and receiving
ArmyBengal
I haven't seen enough of him to say either, but apparently the Bengals have.At least that's the way it would appear. They have cheaper and possibly better options moving forward.
TJJackson
Shelf life on running backs is generally pretty low, all that pounding they take
HoosierCat
They have cheaper and possibly better options moving forward. There's a lot loaded into that "possibly" there. We could really use a stud, but it appears we'll get Green-Ellis, a rookie and maybe Boom. Hopefully whoever is drafted comes through, because if they don't defenses will kill Dalton. That particular problem will only be addressed by injecting some fresh talent.

ArmyBengal
Peerman is the answer to that question and I think the team felt the same way with the contract they offered him.

skyline
It looks like the Falcons are about to release Tyson Clabo. This even further devalues the RT market value...bad news for Andre, great news for the Bengals FO.

Kazkal
At this point I would be happy if Bigdre signed with another team so I could simply stop checking to see if this was the day he signed.
ArmyBengal
Here's kind of where I am with this and my opinion has been well stated. If we could get a new RT in the draft, which would result in a long term deal for MJ, I am geting to the point where I would be cool with that.I can't say as I have really looked hard, but is there a RT that could be had without spending one of our first three picks on one ??One that could be viewed as a starter ?? I will have to look into it as well.I'm slowly moving into the "Do what you can to f*ck Dre over" mindset.Hell, bring in Tyson Clabo who was released from the Falcons and then sign MJ. HoosierCat
First Young, now another Browns castoff, TE Alex Smith, to visit. It's like they are making an extra effort to scrape the bottom of the barrel this year...
ArmyBengal
I suppose TE should be addressed, but I can't say as this qualifies as "addressing" the position.
TJJackson
Since Felix Jones made it through all of 2012 without injury, I would not be adverse to bringing him in for vet min plus a few incentives (games active, games with yard per carry over 4, stuff like that)

TJJackson
I am 100% certain that even if we signed a veteran safety *cough* *Rhodes* *cough* they'd still need to draft one high to groom

The only person they lost was Crocker. If they bring in another player, I could easily see them saying the don't need to draft safety now.I wish I could be at your level of certainty, but I can't.It's the whole reason I wasn't wanting to see them bring in much in the form of free agents.I suppose with the lack of depth/talent at the RB spot, that wouldn't keep them from drafting one high, but still no guarantees. Is it draft day yet ??
