Pidge Posted October 13, 2009 Report Posted October 13, 2009 Finally. Sorry Brad, good luck but you're a long snapper who can no longer long snap. You didn't give us many options here. Quote
HoosierCat Posted October 13, 2009 Report Posted October 13, 2009 And he comes with bonus inside scoop on our next opponent! So long, Brad. Thanks for all the snaps. Quote
SupaBran Posted October 13, 2009 Report Posted October 13, 2009 Holy hell! I can't lie I didn't think they were gonna do anything! You can't say we didn't give him a fair shot to bounce back, but once its in your head, its hard to fix! We changed holders(punters), its time we switch snappers and kicker IMO. Quote
Stripes Posted October 13, 2009 Report Posted October 13, 2009 So long, Brad. You snapped well far more often than you snapped poorly. Quote
jonahdsage Posted October 13, 2009 Report Posted October 13, 2009 WOW. Didn't think they would actually do this . . . I'm almost nervous now . . . Hopefully mr. Harris had his nose in the Texans playbook while he was there. Welcome aboard, sir!And I will echo the previous comment about thanking mr. st. louis for ten years of more or less reliable snapping. This season was just too much though, sir. Simply too much. Quote
HoosierCat Posted October 13, 2009 Report Posted October 13, 2009 So long, Brad. You snapped well far more often than you snapped poorly.Ding. We have a winner. Quote
DC_Bengals_Fan Posted October 13, 2009 Report Posted October 13, 2009 Good luck to you Brad. Hope you cure your Steve Sax disease. Quote
SupaBran Posted October 13, 2009 Report Posted October 13, 2009 So long, Brad. You snapped well far more often than you snapped poorly. This is a what have you done for me lately league, and he's only a frickin long snapper, do your job and go unnoticed is your job! Quote
Kazkal Posted October 13, 2009 Report Posted October 13, 2009 Wish you the best Brad, you did a great job in the past but we can't risk you costing us games...be one thing if it was once a season but 5 games so far...Best of luck Brad maybe New England we'll sign ya and save yer career like they do with many other vets >_<...wait they drafted a long snapper in the 6th round hehe. You snapped well far more often than you snapped poorly. This is a what have you done for me lately league, and he's only a frickin long snapper, do your job and go unnoticed is your job!As much as I hate the "what have you done for me lately league" cliche, I agree that St. Louis needed to go. Just offering a positive farewell that he'll never see anyways. Quote
COB Posted October 13, 2009 Report Posted October 13, 2009 I don't feel sorry for St. Louis at all. He's vested in the NFL pension fund which is like the cadillac of retirement funds. He also put the years in without destroying his body, which is very lucky for him. Good player and a good guy. Now that he's gone, maybe I'll be able to get over his pivotal role in our playoff miss in '06. PS - How are we going to fill the backup tight end role Brad handled for us? JK. Quote
ArmyBengal Posted October 13, 2009 Report Posted October 13, 2009 Agree with wishing him well based on the many years of him going unknown and doing his job and for that I say thank you Brad.In regards to this season, he almost cost us many games with what should be one of the simplest things to do and it couldn't be tolerated any longer.Kudos to the Bengals organization for making a move like this 5 weeks into the season. They would have never done that in the past... Quote

JK.With the new guy he is a TE. Wow a rookie, i sure hope he can snap the ball ok. Its funny how Brad did ok on the punts it was just the field goals. So lets hope that this guy is a good snapper, and we can now watch Field goals. Everytime a field goal or extra point attempt came on i turned the channel lol. Quote
scxeezy Posted October 13, 2009 Report Posted October 13, 2009 Thank god!Anyone know if this new guy is any good or how many game snaps he has had and if any of them were bad? Quote
Pidge Posted October 13, 2009 Report Posted October 13, 2009 Well he can't be worse than Brad has been so far this season. He just can't be./foot in mouth Quote
membengal Posted October 14, 2009 Report Posted October 14, 2009 So long, Brad. You snapped well far more often than you snapped poorly.Ding. We have a winner.Add me to this. Good luck to you Brad, I hope the lambs stop screaming now. Quote
BlainThePain Posted October 14, 2009 Report Posted October 14, 2009 I am surprised. I didn't think he would be replaced until after the season. I wish him well. Maybe he can land a spot in the UFL. Quote

ShulaSteakhouse Posted October 14, 2009 Report Posted October 14, 2009 As I figured, he had one more bad game in him before the Brown loyalty override clause was removed. A good snapper hopefully means less 3 point, last second wins/losses.He had a good run doing a relatively easy job and made a lot of $. Time to move on. Quote
BengalszoneBilly Posted October 14, 2009 Report Posted October 14, 2009 Even though he brought this on himself, I feel sorry for St. Louis. He honestly tried, but ended up failing, so I'll give him that.Good luck in the future Brad, but this team is moving on without you. Quote
GoBengals! Posted October 14, 2009 Report Posted October 14, 2009 This is great news. It shows me this team is no longer putting up with none performers. I still remember the Denver game in 06' like it was yesterday. St Louis cost the Bengals a playoff spot. Quote
