  1. I'm willing to see if him being a talking head plays out. He obviously has an incredible amount of knowledge concerning the game (duh) and could share his thoughts in a way he never has. I think that would be interesting, but the question is, will he? I know most people simply place all the blame on Brady and how much he's lost it and should have retired, but there has been more to it this season. New coach, new o-line members, no Gronk and a plethora of player injuries. I say this not in defense of him, just simply acknowledging. That being said, I watched the locker room speak and kept thinking to myself... Are all visitor locker rooms basically a broom closet, with a leaky roof where some benches were thrown?
  2. Just like last season though, I now spend almost my entire week waiting for the Bengals game on Sunday. Thank you Joe Burrow, Ja'Marr Chase, the new o-line and all the other players killing it each week !!! This really is a lot of fun !! WE ARE GOING TO GET IT THIS YEAR BILLY !!!
  3. Dude… the LAST thing this team should do is mess with anything that is functioning this well. Stick with what is working and ride it through.
  4. I thought I made it clear that I NEEDED to throw in the towel before halftime. I might be the exception here.
  5. Bucs running a ton of play action in the first half and the Bengals made adjustments. The Bucs couldn’t keep up. Love seeing comments elsewhere about how the Bengals and Burrow aren’t that good. Sweet tears !!!
  6. I really need to start complaining before the 2nd half.
  7. What the fuck am I watching here ??
  8. Channeling his inner Marvin Lewis with hard hitting, intriguing thoughts to ponder.
  9. Good job stupid Browns !!
  10. Blame Arby's
  11. Just beat the shit out of the Bucs and let the rest fall where it may. Keep winning and everything else will fall into place. Another home playoff game this year would be fucking amazing though !!!
  12. I will be paying attention to both that game and the Falcons game as former UC QB Ridder is getting his first pro start. Go Browns !?!?
  13. Holy shit that’s a great read. Thanks Mem !!
  14. I'm not sure I agree with the correlation there. I understand running the ball to set up the flea flicker. That makes sense. However, you don't intentionally block poorly and pick up 2-3 yards on purpose to make that play happen. That's what I was complaining about and I think that was the concern with Mixon coming back, in that he has done that quite often this year. I think it goes without saying that I love Mixon, but many have commented about him running right up the middle and only getting 2-3 yards. To Goodberry's point, the o-line didn't have a particularly stellar game against the Browns, so I'm not sure I can get behind that argument. Who knows ?? God knows I've been wrong many times before. Hell, look at me complaining about the linebackers when everyone told me I was crazy. Looks like I was crazy !!
  15. Give me Foskey in that scenario if we are taking DE. I like the thought of the best CB as long as they aren’t too far down that list.
  16. Oh I agree totally. “Swag” will only do so much. He’s smart and knows what to do with the ball the majority of the time. He has shown throughout both his college and pro career that he has the athletic ability, but it’s overlooked. Probably because he didn’t snub the Bengals like many of the talking heads were hoping he would. Every time I hear a non-Bengals fan talk about Burrow, it’s always about how much talent he had around him at LSU. While that is in fact the case with the talent he had, someone was throwing those 60 TD’s at LSU, right? They also forget he ran for another 5 that year. Yeah, he sucks….
  17. If it gets me to the game this weekend, I’m pretty sure I will survive. After a total of 15 months away when I deployed, a week or two is a drop in the bucket…
  18. I would love to hear how the experts measure the “It” factor in their stats ?? Or maybe leadership abilities ?? You know, all the things that Burrow has and many QB’s lack, but can’t be discussed because stats don’t support them. If what Burrow has was easy to reproduce, Blaine Gabbert would have 4 Super Bowl championships by now. Sometimes I really hate the talking heads…
  19. Mac Jones was compared to Joe Burrow ?? No disrespect but, BWAAAAAHAAAAHAAAAAA !!!
  20. Here you go, found this... https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=j2C2fb6O6LE
  21. I'm trying to convince the wife that since my son has yet to see Tom Brady play, that means that him and I should make the trip to Tampa Bay to catch the game. I mean, who am I to deprive such an event from a young man? It only seems like the right thing to do. Am I wrong ??
  22. Yeah, watching on TV had me initially yelling, "WHAT THE HELL" ?!?! Then Chase actually caught the damn thing and was like, "HOLY SHIT, HE CAUGHT THAT" ?? I liked Joe's response to that play when he said something close to... Even when Chase isn't expecting the ball, he's still the best WR in the league.
  23. Brownies, diabetes? Diabetes, brownies? I'm a gamlblin' man, so I'm going to go with brownies. Added to the list. Thanks !!
  24. Well shit. That leaves Gunter and Sample as the next two on deck. I'm much less enthusiastic with them as opposed to Ossai, but it's going to be what it's going to be. On a side note to the usual suspects, I can't help but wonder if the team has gotten practice reps at DE for Zach Carter? He was always thought to be position diverse, being able to play both the DT and DE spots. The Bengals have a history of playing d-line players at different spots as well. Maybe this has been discussed and my old ass simply doesn't remember. Anyway, there's always more than one way to skin a cat.
  25. Yeah, to not be concerned about the loss of T-Rex would be minimalizing for sure, but think it's less concerning for the next two weeks vs the last two weeks. Really hoping to see guys like Ossai and the rest of them fill in the gaps. However, Josh Allen and possibly Lamar Jackson present some real issues in that regard.
