  1. Well, I know soccer isn't everyone's cup of tea, regardless of how much I love it. However, if you haven't been down to a match at TQL stadium, you should really check it out. It's a great environment with fans that are really passionate about the team. That's just fun to be around. Besides that, FC Cincinnati is in 2nd place in the eastern conference and currently has the 2nd best record in MLS. They are kicking (sorry) ass this season, picking up where they left off from last year. I love pretty much everything about it and you can pick up tickets for $20 most matches. We end up walking around the stadium, talking with other fans, eating, drinking and watching the game. It sure as hell beats any product the Reds have put on the field in any recent season !!! Sorry for the dig Reds. I still love you. Kinda...
  2. Agree with all of that Hoosier. Long gone are the days of completely dismissing free agency as something other teams do, while we watch. Something happened, probably a combination of somethings, when they fired Marvin, brought in Zac and started the rebuild the next year with Burrow. Of course Burrow is a HUGE part of that something, but it was everything else that came along with it. I wish my dad was still alive to see how much the team has turned the corner. He was a fan from the start and is the one I credit for my love of football. Much like I have been with my son.
  3. While not expecting anything else in the free agency department, there are some players out there that should probably be on some team's roster. Maybe a surprise 1 year addition we weren't expecting? Never know, but the list is interesting. https://nfltraderumors.co/top-100-2023-nfl-free-agents-list/
  4. I have a good friend who is a die hard Raiders fan and we were talking about their draft picks. Then I went and took a look at their recent draft history and good Lord. Since 2019, the last year of suck before Burrow, the Raiders have had 7 first round picks. SEVEN !! Of those 7 first rounders that you would expect to be a large part of what they are doing now, only 2 are still with the team. RB Josh Jacobs and this year's first rounder Tyree Wilson. Jacobs got the tag this year, isn't happy about it and isn't showing for practices. He will no doubt be a Raider for at least the season, but good God. Couple that with getting rid of their QB, Carr, their franchise passing leader, and there's little reason to be optimistic in Vegas. My point to all of this you may ask ?? Probably not... It is so nice seeing our organization put together one solid draft after another and competing for Super Bowls. These are good times my friends. Good times !!
  5. Couldn't agree more. I don't think there's much chance in any of Burrow, Tee or Chase going anywhere. This is a QB driven league and your QB needs weapons. Let a LB or safety go, but not those guys. Tee has been a consistent force in his first three years. It's another reason teams are talking about him. He's a #1 on more than a handful of teams in the league.
  6. I had pea-cock for a little while. Some nasty shit I picked up while in Thailand for a quick stop back in the day. Fortunately antibiotics still worked and it ran it's course without incident. Certainly nothing I would pay to get again. Then again, we may be talking about something completely different...
  7. While understanding there is a large pot of money that will be dumped into Higgins life, I'm not concerned. First, he is under contract for 2023, so it's not like he's going somewhere. Next, if they don't get him resigned, they always have the tag at their disposal, which they would use. So at an absolute minimum, Higgins is here through the 2024 season. Again, I think they get it done. Burrow being aware of the impact of his contract helps. Oh yeah, so does a cap that continues to grow by leaps and bounds.
  8. I like hearing how amped up the team is with the addition of Irv Smith Jr. and Charlie Jones. Never seen as much talk about a "potential" 4th WR in my life. Good times !!
  9. Glad I could help.
  10. Nope the Dolphins snatched him up TJ. Dang !! Or, I mean GOOD !!
  11. There is talk out there about the Bengals and the RB position, but I haven't put much thought to any of if. Cook and Henry are the two names that I've seen tossed around, but not much in regards to how that would happen. Considering how much any of these guys cost, I can't say as I have much to add. I more of a wait and see guy at this point.
  12. Yes you will be able to save them on your phone. I have never had an issue with them being saved to my Apple Wallet, as I have an IPhone.
  13. I have used both Vividseats and Seatgeek myself. I have their apps downloaded with accounts on both. No hesitation in using either of them. The fees are what get you on the price though so you have to watch that. Otherwise never had an issue through the years.
  14. I can’t for the life of me even begin to take much interest in the Reds. Sad…
  15. - They don't play more than 2 games consecutively on the road, I like that breakup of games. - I would prefer a later bye week than week 7, but you never know how those shake out. - I like getting the Colts and Vikings (2 dome teams) at home in December. - With the exception of the lone Thursday game, there aren't any other short turn arounds. - We get the 49er's after our bye and them coming off a Monday night game (Vikings). I'm calling 2023, 14-3 and the #1 seed in the AFC if everyone stays relatively clean. No real reason to think why they won't be competing for the Super Bowl again.
  16. One more thing to not have to be concerned about. Not that I was.
  17. Coming right along. Nice !!
  18. The more I read about Robbins and hear him speak, the more I like that kid. Being a "process guy" myself, I loved his comment about "process over outcome". It's all about focusing on what is in your control. With his approach, he sounds like a really disciplined kind of guy. Plus the whole mustache is simply amazing !! Yeah, how nice is it to hear kids be humbled because they are coming to a winning organization and culture, as opposed to stepping in the door day one with the expectation of being the savior to turn things around for a shithole organization. Joe Burrow has taken that on for everyone !! Honestly, the more I review this draft class, I think it's going to make a fairly decent impact for years to come. Just really solid players.
  19. Mem, seriously... Thanks for posting these. I really appreciate being able to check these out easily.
  20. They need to focus on the fast start this year especially. If ready to go, unlike last year, they could go 6-0 heading into the bye week. I like how this shakes out with a first take on it.
  21. Agree wholeheartedly about the national take on the Bengals. Fans may be assholes about the Bengals, but I think that's more that they hate seeing us do well. I think they know that no matter the situation, Burrow is a QB that can come into their house and kick them in the teeth. Whether anyone wants to admit it, the Bengals have turned into the big kid on the block. The bully so to speak. I'm good with that take and yes, thank you Joe Burrow !!
  22. Speaking of Tube Socks, nothing better than having the Door Store bag hanging from your door knob with the latest store add for Van Leunens. Talk about a store from the past.
  23. Chase Brown is the first rookie under contract. So happy for this kid !!
