  1. Good, I will need a place to crash !!
  2. There is a lot of dysfunction within that list of teams.
  3. I went and looked up the coaching staff as well. I was just too curious at that point. Crazy some of the names associated with that team. Stupid Browns...
  4. Bulking phase huh? Nice choice.
  5. Couldn’t agree more. One more loss to Michigan will surely cost Ryan Day his job. Not until next year though…
  6. This is why I want to see a change with Pollack. Bring in someone capable working up a new guy. That has been a struggle for them through the years. I'm more than ok going after a RT in the 2nd or 3rd round. Sooner rather than later in my opinion. Even a guy like Mims if they need to in the first. Then there are others like Jordon Morgan that should be there in the 2nd. I'm sure there will be other options, but I haven't gotten that far down the draft yet.
  7. I agree with all of this talk about the secondary. I like CTB, Dax and Battle a lot and think they continue to get better. I think getting another vet safety would be very helpful. However, I also think they need to address CB in the draft or FA. Awuzie is a free agent and hasn't really come back from injury. If he continues on his current trend, he's done. I don't see much of anything happening at DE and can't say that bothers me. DT and LB however have questions to answer and/or holes to fill as well. I'm more confident heading into this offseason at this point than I was at the start of the season. Oh, and I want the coaching questions answered sooner rather than later.
  8. I honestly thought the Jets were going to be a team to compete with Rodgers as the QB, then he got hurt and things got weird. It's whatever at this point, but they have him through 2024. They still need to be looking at a QB for the future. Rodgers is a headcase at this point, despite me thinking he's still an above average QB.
  9. Yeah, Pitcher probably is in line for that one here. Not sure why I forgot him. I simply remember Burrow praising Joe Brady when the Bills made him their interim offensive coordinator. Given their previous history and Burrow's obvious respect for him, like I said, he jumped in my head. Like everything else during the off season, it's a wait and see.
  10. I guess it would depend on how a given fan wants to view a "good" season. If they view good as regular season wins, regardless of postseason wins, they have had many. If they view it based on postseason success, 2021 and 2022 are the only beacons of success since not only 2003, but all the way back to 1990. Mind you, I don't really care how someone wants to view it, just saying.
  11. Yeah, that wouldn’t really bother me either. The question becomes, who replaces him? Maybe a guy like Joe Brady, who is the Bills interim offensive coordinator, after getting hired as their QB coach? The plus side to him is that he would probably be good with Zac calling plays, along with the fact he coached with Burrow and Chase at LSU. Maybe not, but he jumped in my head.
  12. Agree with most all of that. About the above, Reader is either brought back or they draft DT high. Maybe both. BJ Hill is an unrestricted free agent in 2025 and they need to keep him as well. I'd be happy with Jer'Zahn Newton the DT out of Illinois in the first. He's actually my #1 target at this point in time (subject to change)... I'd be willing to let almost anything else slide in the TE room, as long as they bring Hudson back as the #1 from day one. All the other TE's on the roster combined still = dog shit. Chase and Higgins both getting done would be MASSIVE in my opinion. Couldn't agree more !!
  13. I have no issue with seeing a backfield of Mixon and Brown in 2024. However, Brown needs more carries than he got in 2023. 257 carries for Mixon to 44 for Brown is what 2023 had for the season. The only thing less impressive than Sample's 163 receiving yards, was Irv Smith Jr.'s 115. That dude sucked balls this year.
  14. Here are all the Unrestricted Free Agents the Bengals have to figure out. DT Reader WR Boyd CB Awuzie RT Jonah Williams WR Tee Higgins TE Irv Smith DT Josh Tupou OG Max Scharping TE Drew Sample RB Trayveon Williams QB McCarron LB Bachie OG Cody Ford LB Davis-Gaither LB Bailey At first glance, that's a lot of LB and TE depth and two more TE's (Hudson and Wilcox) are RFA's, along with WR Irwin. I would rather keep Reader, but he's also turning 30 and hasn't looked as fierce as he once was. I would rather keep Higgins, but not sure they can afford both him and Chase. I would rather keep Boyd as well, but if they pay both Higgins and Chase, I just don't see it. I expect Jonah Williams to be gone and think they should move on from Awuzie. Everyone else can be replaced, ESPECIALLY IRV SMITH JR. It's interesting to me they will have $70 million, if that number is correct. You know what else was interesting about last year's salary ?? Tyler Boyd almost made the same amount of money as Chase and Higgins combined. That's going to change quickly !! DT, OT, CB and WR (not in order) should be the priority for free agency and/or the draft. All but OT continue that trend in 2025, which is another reason to be looking to the future.
  15. THIS. Not questioning competence in the least, but as I mentioned, he has had time and resources devoted to him in order to make it happen. You cannot accept the outcomes we have seen and change should be made. That might have been the healthiest o-line season since God knows when as well. I think Volson may have missed a game, but that was it across the line. If you are a PFF kind of guy, than this is the most dead average o-line in the league, maybe slightly below across the board. They seem to be a very bland group of players. Average, but nothing and no one stands out as a dominating force on that line.
  16. While I liked seeing the safety play seem to improve as the season went on, there's no doubt the loss of Bates and Bell was felt for the defense. Hurst, was missed early on, but that could have been mitigated had they went with Tanner Hudson earlier. Add another TE to pair up with Hudson and that will be a nice combo moving forward. The running back room clearly missed Perrine's blocking skills and ability to spell Mixon if needed. That being said, they didn't give Chase Brown enough opportunities to do the same through the season. That kid can play and I think they really messed up not getting him more touches this season. It's a shame. The offensive line was not much better in the grand scheme of things than last year, despite adding Orlando Brown Jr. and staying healthy. Hopefully Pollack's belongings were in a box waiting for him when the game was over. He's had enough time and resources to do something. Bring in someone else, let him evaluate what we have and then let him get his guy in the draft. For the love of God, find a way to start the season like you are actually, you know, ready to play football. I'm sick of them digging a hole they have to climb out of every stinkin' year. And balance out the damn offense when Burrow returns. Here's to hoping the big decisions coming in the offseason are all solid for them.
  17. All I really cared about was no injuries. Didnt watch, didn’t care. Meaningless. Bring on the 2024 season. A lot of big decisions looming.
  18. And with the Texans win, I feel like I have a team in the playoffs. Jr. is pumped up and we had a great time !! Go Texans !!
  19. No, saying that this Texans game wouldn’t mean much had that play worked out differently. No game is about one play, but the impact sure is interesting.
  20. We were just talking and I mentioned to my son… had Tyler Boyd came down with that pass in the end zone against the Texans, this game probably doesn’t mean what it does now.
  21. And success !! ArmyBengal Jr. walks away with Stroud’s signature on his Stroud jersey !! He’s totally pumped up !!
  22. We have been coming to this game for years. Cool fans, great stadium, and we stay at the holiday inn that is literally right across the street from the stadium. Always a good time !! Waiting for the game to start, trying to pick up some signatures.
  23. I bought tickets back in August for the Texans vs Colts, since ArmyBengal Jr. is a big Texans fan. Back then no one was expecting much and I got 40 yard line uppers in row 1 for $50 each. Fast forward to today and those tickets are over $300 and it’s a win or go home game for both teams. They moved it into prime time tonight in ESPN. Crashing in Indy for the night. Should be a good time. Rooting for the Texans and Stroud to get the win !!
  24. It’s almost like he went in reverse and got progressively worse as the season went on. Cut your losses in a lost season. Put punter on the “need” list. Fill that need with Araiza !!
  25. Bring in the Punt God. I would seriously have zero issue giving that kid a chance.
