  1. I think WR is in the mix for a few reasons. 1. There’s likely a true #1 at pick 18, which is uncommon. 2. They could address the position and lock it up for the next 5 years, which they need to do with Chase about to get paid. You know… why Tee won’t be back next year. 3. As much as I like Jones and Iosivas, they are no Tee Higgins. Both would still get reps and set them up for the starting slot position in year 3. They got time in last year. 4. Depth. No Boyd means should either Tee or Chase miss a game or two. Jones and Iosivas are now your defacto #2 for however long. Again, I’m not sitting here saying WR is a must have take at #18, but there are certainly reasons why I think the team would go that direction.
  2. I thought CB as well and I don’t think that’s the case moving forward. With the addition of Stone and Bell, along with Battle having a really solid rookie season, I think Dax is looking at a move to CB, which would make things crowded if another is added in the draft. I like the idea of Dax at CB and he certainly got playing time there at Michigan. Again, we never know.
  3. I have been watching a lot of player reviews and there has been a name that has stuck with me for about a month now, but I've never really "truly" given it much thought of happening. I think I have just always made OT the go to pick in the first, so I haven't considered too much more. However, I go back to the debate of "Do we take Chase or Sewell" and many, at least outside this board (and some in), thought there was no way we pass up on the chance to protect Burrow. Then came the pick..... Chase. The Bengals saw him as a true #1 WR and said it really wasn't that hard of a choice for them. It makes me wonder if they look at a guy like Trent Brown and think they don't have to worry about OT for the season (at least in the first round) and take a player at another position? Then the name comes back in again. Higgins is certainly not going to be playing here in 2025 and Boyd isn't coming back this season either. While they have guys like Losivas and Chuck Sizzle, who I like a lot, neither of them are a true #1. I give you my non-OT first round pick: Brian Thomas Jr., WR, LSU. Sure, there are LSU commonalities, but this kid could be a true #1 as well. Adding him to the mix would allow the Bengals to move guys around more and get Chase some more reps in the slot, which presents some really great matchups for him. While the addition of Mike Gesicki might preclude that thought, since he has lined up a lot in the slot even as a TE, the Bengals would have a massive arsenal for Burrow and gain the 5th year option for a position that is going to need to have someone on a rookie deal after they pay Chase. I could be wrong, but I'm not dismissing that thought any longer. Feel free to blast away....
  4. It must have been all that time he spent in jail in trying to get back all the "stolen" memorabilia he sold to repay the Goldman family. Oh wait...
  5. I'd trade Tee to Pittsburgh right now. I want this year's 1st and 2nd along with next year's as well. That's my opening bottom-line offer. Outside of that, might I invite the Steelers to go fuck themselves ?? Yeah, that.
  6. Newsflash... The Steelers have just made the determination that on top of giving up draft capital to obtain the services of Tee Higgins, they will actually have to pay him a new contract. It's an unbelievable revelation that has not been thought of or discussed by any other team in the league to this point. The Steelers really are just a step ahead of all the other teams in the league. The next thing you know, the Steelers might get crazy and suggest that when ice melts, it turns into water. CRAZY TALK !!!
  7. Now, for what's really important in today's news... TWO WEEKS UNTIL THE DRAFT !!!
  8. No sense at all.
  9. Not exactly off season news, but fucking hilarious !! https://youtu.be/EbSO7G2GT1w?si=xirQOhhPXv1yjMJ_
  10. No, there will be no casting of stones from my direction either. That's for damn sure !!
  11. My vote to provide public funding can be purchased by those who want it. If a portion of my property taxes are to go into building a new stadium, I want season tickets for the first 5 years free of charge, and not some obscured view shit either. Lower bowl, sidelines, limit two tickets. After that time, I will never pay more than half of whatever the going rate is for a face value ticket for any event held at the new stadium. Again, limit two tickets. EDIT -- 50% off concessions as well for the duration. This offer would only be for residents of Hamilton County capable of voting, so no one under 18. Sign in with a valid ID, vote "YES", and opt into your tickets. Any "NO" vote would not be eligible for the tickets should the measure pass. That's my offer Hamilton County. Outside of that, they can suck my ass.
  12. I wasn't aware he was known for drinking or that it actually had to be addressed at the combine. Him assuring teams it was over, only to get a DUI, is damning. Yeah, off draft boards for sure. Calling Maason Smith from LSU. I like him a lot as well. Just don't let him celebrate a play on the field.
  13. Or maybe knocks him down a round or two. Stupid mistake to make but one that can be overcome. I’d gladly take him in the 3rd.
  14. The Reds are young and I don’t think they are going to suck, but the NL Central has some really solid teams in it. They are a fun team to watch.
  15. I would have considered Joe Milton from Tennessee, but he came off the board. Honestly though, it wouldn't surprise me to see them simply bring in an UDFA to fill the 3rd spot, so no harm really. My trend throughout was athletic guys that seem to really love the game.
  16. I have been playing around on the Draft Networks new mock draft where you can enter a room and draft against other people in real time. They have up to 10 people drafting for whatever team they choose and it's been a fun time killer. Had one this morning I liked the way it turned out. Traded down from #18 to #24 with Dallas, who selected OT Amarius Mims. In return, I picked up their 2nd rounder, #56. #24. Tyler Guyton, OT, Oklahoma (6'7, 322, RAS 9.72) - A true RT that doesn't need to start year one, but could. #49. Cooper Beebe, OG, Kansas St. (6'4, 322, RAS 9.27) - Experienced with starts at all o-line spots except center. PHYSICAL #56. Ja'Lynn Polk, WR, Washington (6'2, 204, RAS 8.83) - Dude should be ranked higher and would fit our offense. #80. Payton Wilson, LB, NC St. (6.3, 233, RAS 9.88) - Falls due to injury concerns and age, but is a steal here. Love him. #97. Maason Smith, DT, LSU (6'5, 306, RAS 8.38) - Big athletic run stuffer. Fits in the rotation and provides solid depth. #115. Theo Johnson, TE, Penn St. (6'6, 2.59, RAS 9.93) - I really like this kid and think he should go higher as well. #149. Elijah Jones, CB, Boston College (6'1, 185, RAS 8.93) - Another player I really like. I like the attitude and physicality. Traded up from #194 to #177 with Minnesota and gave up a 2025 6th round pick. #177. Isaac Guerendo, RB, Louisville (6'0, 221, RAS 9.9) - I don't really care for our RB depth and another kid I like a lot. #214. Myles Cole, DE, Texas Tech (6'6, 278, RAS 9.93) - The late round DE I had mention earlier. BIG TALL kid. #224. Ryan Watts, S, Texas (6'2, 208, RAS 9.11) - Move from CB to safety and always in need of special teams guys. #237. Tory Taylor, P, Iowa (6'3, 229, RAS ---) - Do I need to explain? That's it, my final mock based on what I would love to see the team do in 3 weeks. Can't wait to see who they actually add to the team !! Christmas in April !!
  17. I was all in on Newton, but that has changed drastically over the past month. I would however still like the pick if he was coupled with a big run stuffer like Sweat. Just not on his own. Not a fan of Rice personally. It would depend on what other WR's were still on the board. There are bound to be (what I believe) to be much better prospects than him in the 3rd. Love the Theo Johnson and Tory Taylor picks. Agree with taking a DE in the later rounds as well.
  18. Collins is a shame. I was hopeful he would have given us 2-3 years but those injuries have been brutal for him.
  19. Buffalo gave Diggs to the Texans. Yeah, the Texans gave up a 2nd round pick, however.... Since the Texans traded out of the 1st round this year, here's another perspective in relation to the pick given. The Texans basically traded out of the first round, got Diggs, a 6th in 2024, a 2nd and 5th in 2025. The 2nd they gave the Bills was from the Vikings in the trade out of the 1st. That's a really good deal for the Texans. Since I follow the Texans as my #2, I'm happy about this as well. God knows my son is !!
  20. The Bills lost their #2 Gabe Davis as well. Think they are going heavy WR in the draft ?? Yep !!
  21. Dont know what your current interest rate is, but with it being between 6%-7%, it makes it harder. Couple that with the cost of homes continuing to go up and downsizing won’t save much if any. I got into my new home in the middle of COVID and am carrying a 2.95%. Nope, not moving any time soon.
  22. The Texans give up a 2nd next year and get Diggs, a late round pick this year and next. Not bad for a player that has put up 4 consecutive 1000 yard seasons despite his unhappiness with the team.
  23. Agree TJ and add onto that the massive school levy which drove up property tax and I have to wonder who the hell thinks this is sustainable? I’ve said it before and will say it again. NO WAY I vote to provide public funds from tax payers to billionaires. I love my Bengals, but will gladly show them the best deals on moving trucks. Might even let them use my Kroger points to fuel up.
