Not because he pops off about it every year but Dillon should be one of them.

So taking a closer look, the Bengals got Trent Brown as our starting right tackle and Amarius Mims in the first round for about what the Cardinals paid Jonah Williams for the next two season ($30m). Brown gets $4.75 for this season. Mims should sign a deal a touch more than $25m for the next 5 years. For perspective, last years #18 pick got a 5 year deal for $25m. LB Jack Campbell from the Lions. I like how that all turned out for sure !! Well done Bengals !!
-
So Jonah Williams will be staying at right tackle for the Cardinals in 2024 since they decided to move first round pick from last year, Paris Johnson to the left tackle spot. Johnson started at right tackle for the Cardinals last year.

Is there another Bengals podcast outside of Locked on Bengals with James Rapien that is more boring to listen to ?? Don't get me wrong, the content is solid, but just listening to him and Jake Liscow makes me want to take a nap. Nothing personal. I want to like the podcast because they talk about the Bengals, but I just can't.

Ok, here's my initial thoughts on wins and losses for the year... Week 1: Sun. New England Patriots, 1 p.m. - WIN Week 2: Sun. at Kansas City Chiefs, 4:25 p.m. - LOSS Week 3: Mon. Baltimore Ravens, 1 p.m. - WIN Week 6: Sun. at New York Giants, 8:20 p.m. - WIN Week 7: Sun. at Cleveland Browns, 1 p.m. - WIN Week 8: Sun. Philadelphia Eagles, 4:25 p.m. - WIN Week 9: Sun. Las Vegas Raiders, 1 p.m. - WIN Week 10: Thurs. at Baltimore Ravens, 8:15 p.m. - LOSS Week 11: Sun. at Los Angeles Chargers, 4:25 p.m. - WIN Week 12: BYE Week 13: Sun. Give or take the two games I always factor in and the range is 12-5 to 16-1. Jesus please help this team stay healthy this year. If we win the Super Bowl, I promise not to make fun of TJ's dead gramma anymore.

Nope, nothing to get really irritated about when looking at this. I know the players don't care for the Thursday night games, but I enjoy them as a fan. Agree, no reason they don't smash this schedule if health is on their side. The makings of an MVP season for Burrow.

It's been over a year since we've heard Mike Brown's thoughts and since we just had the draft, I thought we'd check back in... "Pumpkin, come in here please." Katie walks into Mike's Paycor Stadium office only to find him feverishly building a coffin for himself. "DAD !?!?, what the hell are you doing building a coffin?" Mike looks at her with a crazed, yet completely serious look and mutters.... "I've finally done it, I have found a way to be immortal and I fooled EVERYONE. MUAAAAAHAAAHAAA !!" "Dad, what are you talking about?" "I can't believe even you didn't see my master plan and way to live forever." "I DRAFTED A VAMPIRE !! MUAAAAAHAAAHAAA !!" "What the hell are you talking about Dad?" "The first round kid we took, he's a vampire." "No he's not dad, I think you are confused." "NO, I've never been more clear. After watching the documentary "Queen of the Damned", I learned about "Marius" the elder vampire." "He's going to turn me and my rule over the NFL will be FOREVER !! MUAAAAAHAAAHAAA !!" "I've installed windows throughout my office that will automatically filter out the sunlight during the day and we will have a constant stream of homeless people in for "dinner" MUAAAAAHAAAHAAA !!" "No more exoskeleton's, no more plans to save my head in a persistent state, NO MORE FUCKING RASCAL FREEDOM POWER WHEELCHAIR !!" "I will finally have my revenge on that TJ fucker from the Bengalszone board as well !!" "Dad, I hate to tell you, but his name is "Amarius", not Marius. Not to mention "Queen of the Damned" is a made up movie, not a documentary." "***damnit... can you get my rascal and a Boost drink from the refrigerator?" "Tell me then, who the hell is Amarius Mims?" Mike proceeds to piss himself as he stares blankly out the window...

Oh, Jayden Daniels first game? Going to have to get to that one for sure if it happens. I like that kid.
-
Ok, if it's a non-division game to open the year, I'm calling the Broncos week 1. Bo Nix and the Broncos in the jungle.
-
Tomorrow isn't that far, so I won't lose any sleep waiting to find out. On a side note, this coming season will be the last one for ArmyBengal Jr. before he's a senior and may go away for college. We are planning on a few road trips this year to catch both the Bengals and the Texans. Texans at home against the Bears, Texans on the road against the Packers and then one more in Indy. We will figure out the Bengals slate depending on which home games we decide to hit up. Couple all that with Buckeyes games at the Shoe and it's going to be a great football season !!! WHODEY !!!
-
I’ll take that matchup to start the season.
-
Steelers then? Surely a division round game, as has been the standard for some time.
-
I honestly don't mind KC earlier than later. I didn't want them playing week 17, only to have to play them again so soon in the playoffs. Just need to have the team ready and not overlook whoever the week 1 opponent is.
-
Merged. Almost forgot how to do that. It's been a while. Back in the early days, that was an every day occurrence.
-
Good to see Trey showed up for voluntaries despite his current trade request.
-
Couldn't agree more Hoosier.
-
So who are we rooting for in that game... KC or the Ravens? I suppose the Chiefs since the Ravens are in our division. God, the thought of either makes me want to vomit. I don't care who we play, as long it wasn't the Ravens. That shit was getting old on week 1. Bring on either the Steelers or Browns in the jungle week 1 !!! Just have the team ready to start the season fast this year Zac !!!

No doubt. Injury is the concern I'm raising. Other position groups seem to have at least "adequate" depth. Not linebacker, but again, I know how this goes. I don't get upset about it any more.
-
Forgive me for being more excited about what they could possibly pick up on the waiver wire than almost anything outside of the starters. I still think it's a shame they don't invest more in the position and think an impact player there, outside of hoping they hit on 3rd rounders or later, could be a real difference maker for the defense. Don't get me wrong, I love Wilson and Pratt. Just saying. Then again, that's been my contention for years. I already know how the story ends, so feel free to disregard. No offense taken...
-
I get how Lou uses linebackers and my calling for one in the draft goes unanswered because of that. My concern, as with any position group, is injuries. They are one ding away from running on fumes with that group.
-
Not sure if anyone saw it or not, but Bengals free agent LB Markus Bailey signed with the Cardinals. While not the be all, end of of player losses, but he was a big special teams guy and depth at the linebacker position. Yes, they drafted players that will certainly be getting opportunities playing special teams, but the depth at linebacker is a little bit of a hit I would have rather not been concerned about. I know I tend to focus on linebackers more than most, but here is the current depth chart at the position. Wilson, Pratt and ADG are the starters. Bachie, Harper and Heyward are the backups. Go figure here I am commenting about my concerns with this group. If I had my way, they would be looking at linebackers that get released along the way.
-
For awareness, Tyler Boyd signed with the Titans and is back with Brian Callahan. Too bad we play the Titans on the road this year. Would be cool to have him recognized here in Cincinnati. Wish him the best of luck, except when they play us !!!
-
Allow me to come back to this for a quick minute. I was watching the never ending coverage of how Burrow can now tie shoes, which will lead us back to the Super Bowl and noticed something... Mike Gesicki is one big fucker !!! 6'6, 250lbs big. I like that signing very much and if everyone is able to stay healthy, I expect him to have a pretty big impact on the offense this year. Add in the other TE's in that room and that looks to be a pretty strong position group. Really looking forward to seeing them use Gesicki this year.

It happens from time to time TJ... I consider that a good thing. Funny you mentioned Billy. Just the other day, I stumbled across all the old Bengals games that Billy burned onto CD's and sent to me when I was in Afghanistan. There was like 10 CD's with every playoff game and otherwise meaningful Bengals game in history. I remember having so much fun sitting in the middle of the desert watching those. What a good dude !! He's missed !!

My favorite was, "He's baaaaaaaaack". No shit huh? Was there an option? Did they not expect the QB of the team to throw the football? Is he the best standing around, doing nothing guy in the whole wide world and then BAM, holy fuck he threw a football? It's like watching internet porn. I mean, COB's friend told me. You know when you see the chick with a tight shirt and big tits, what's about to go down. It's not a surprise. Like, holy shit, why is she on her knees? WHAAAAT ?!?!
