ArmyBengal Posted April 10, 2017 Report Posted April 10, 2017 There is something about that dudes voice from Disturbed that has gotten under my skin. I used to listen to a lot of their stuff, but then every song started sounding the same. While I don't care for that song very much, I do think they did a great job covering it. Quote
BengalszoneBilly Posted May 27, 2017 Report Posted May 27, 2017 The Allman Brothers were a great band, many epic songs, but when I saw them in San Diego they were a drunken/drugged out mess. Couldn't get through thier opening Rambling Man opener. The opening act, Elvin Bishop and his crew came out and played their set while they laid passed out. Elvin saved the show, twice! 1 Quote
ArmyBengal Posted May 29, 2017 Report Posted May 29, 2017 With the passing of Chris Cornell, I've been listening to a ton of Soundgarden, Audioslave, and Temple of the Dog. Talk about an amazing voice. Sad times. Quote

Draiman has a great metal voice. Quote
COB Posted January 30, 2018 Report Posted January 30, 2018 Made me think of Mike. He's made of rats. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hWvBqbntNGg Quote
heymaggie Posted March 23, 2018 Report Posted March 23, 2018 I so love the covers of Boyce Avenue, some are even better than the original. Quote
BengalszoneBilly Posted March 23, 2018 Report Posted March 23, 2018 A 12 year old thread still going! Quote
ArmyBengal Posted March 28, 2018 Report Posted March 28, 2018 Sure to take some heat on this one, but I've always been a fan of Manson and I'm loving the new album. Favorite song remains "The Reflecting God". Just super aggressive and brutal. "SCAR, SCAR CAN YOU FEEL MY POWER" "SHOOT, SHOOT, SHOOT MOTHERF*CKER" Hate that Johnny Depp is in these videos, but I really like the tunes: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=n3sEKLlFLzIhttps://www.youtube.com/watch?v=otSSwS_Nh9A Quote
ArmyBengal Posted June 6, 2018 Report Posted June 6, 2018 I've been on an Alice in Chains kick lately. While there isn't a single CD of theirs that I don't like, the Dirt album has been my focus lately. Maybe it's just the place I currently find myself, but I love the heavy, darkness of the entire album. While not one of the many singles to get massive airplay from the album, "Junkhead" is amazing. Staley's vocals, the guitar tone, that insane bass line in a live recording. Just so good. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=p9GAEFTeWko Quote
ArmyBengal Posted July 9, 2018 Report Posted July 9, 2018 Holy shit, new Alice in Chains. I thought the first single was good, but I love this one. Dark, heavy, all the things I've loved about AIC. That riff makes me want to go punch people in the face. "So Far Under" https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qusV7bKsrAE Quote
skyline Posted July 24, 2018 Report Posted July 24, 2018 Radiohead - Hail to the Thief I take my music seriously. Here's the home setup I'm listening on at the moment: Quote

Vacuum tubes are still really big in the audio world. My work setup also uses tubes. Tube rolling is an addiction in this hobby as each one alters the sound by shades here and there. Finding the right match of headphones, DACs, amps, and tubes can take some time to really make the magic happen. Quote

ArmyBengal Posted July 29, 2018 Report Posted July 29, 2018 Hard to dislike the Pumpkins. I saw Slayer in town on their last tour, so that’s been in the mix as well. “Dead Skin Mask” is one of my favorites. Quote
BengalszoneBilly Posted September 21, 2018 Report Posted September 21, 2018 I stumbled across my ole Jagged Little Pill CD. What ever happened to Alanis Morrisette? That was a good album! Quote
skyline Posted September 21, 2018 Report Posted September 21, 2018 Her follow-up album to that was pretty good as well (Supposed Former Infatuation Junkie). Quote

ArmyBengal Posted September 22, 2018 Report Posted September 22, 2018 I loved how angry she was. In regards to newer bands, I’ve been listening to the band: Badflower. They have a new tune getting play in the rock stations here called “Ghost”. Some of their other songs are pretty solid. They remind me of Highly Suspect, who I also enjoy. Quote
