volcom69 Posted September 13 Report Posted September 13 Welp next weeks game might be a bit tough. Texans defense should be tough, Bills put up some points so hopefully the Bengals can as well. The Texans offense put up some points and yards also, so will be interesting to see how this defense responds after this game. Not that they were horrible, but thank goodness for the turnovers. Quote
Stripes Posted September 13 Report Posted September 13 The defense played like an… average unit. Which is kind of the whole ballgame for this team. They allowed 282 total yards (solid), 6.0 yards per pass attempt (solid), and 4.5 yards per carry (iffy). The four offsides were bad. The four fumbles were awesome, but we know that isn’t sustainable. Perhaps the best news is that they really mitigated big plays. TB had to maintain long, slow drives, and eventually they fucked them up. 1 Quote
TJJackson Posted September 13 Report Posted September 13 The main question for week 2: Who is Army Jr rooting for next week? Quote

That they didn’t force a single punt is concerning. The defensive line being offsides so often and it all being vets called leads me to believe it was one of the refs calling things closer than usual so not sure if there is anything to be learned there beyond watch out if this guy is calling Bengals games again. Good to see Carter, Knight, and Murphy make plays. Not sure who Army is going to complain about this week :p Offensively, given his lack of action I suspect Jamarr is a bit more limited than they are letting on. Joe was only sacked once so that’s a huge plus. Still would like to see something more than the Mike Gesicki show. Meyers made a couple good plays. All can still wreak havoc blocking. Samaje still has something left, bless him. Burrow was ok, aside from the horrendous pick six. Don’t know what he was seeing there. Basically lots of work to do all around. Mac is a golden god. Quote
COB Posted September 13 Report Posted September 13 I’m laid up so I’m watching the Vikings packers game. Kyler Murray just slid and got a shot to the head similar to the one Burrow endured today. Murray did not endure it, clearly concussed. Quote
