Panthers trade Dalton to Philly Logan Wilson retires? Amazing the difference a year or two can make in an nfl career. He was such a good player and leader. Dude got robbed on that PI call in the Super Bowl. I went back and looked at it a few months ago. Egregious. His play really fell off a cliff there at the end. Andy Dalton has found his niche. Bearded sage who shows up, brings positive vibes, is the definition of a great teammate and pro, then gets on the field and eventually breaks your heart. Quote
ArmyBengal Posted March 18 Report Posted March 18 Dude I think I’ve seen such a steep cliff as the one belonging to Logan Wilson. Always liked him. Best of luck to him and his family. Quote

HoosierCat Posted March 19 Author Report Posted March 19 Bummer about Anderson, always liked him. Quote
HoosierCat Posted March 19 Author Report Posted March 19 Mike isn’t the only owner who never learns. https://www.espn.com/nfl/story/_/id/48243257/nfl-seeks-list-possible-replacement-refs-cba-not-reached Yeah because that worked so well last time. Quote
HoosierCat Posted March 19 Author Report Posted March 19 Linebacker? D tackle? Feh, that’s nothing, look at how awesome our punter is! https://www.bengals.com/news/bengals-believe-ryan-rehkow-s-long-bombs-can-turn-into-pro-bowl-if Never change, Bengals, never change. Quote
ArmyBengal Posted March 19 Report Posted March 19 Well fuckin' fuck yeah, lets focus on getting Rehkow to the Pro Bowl. There is literally NOTHING more important to focus on than long bomb punts. Don't get me wrong, I love having an above average punter and wish him all the luck kicking the dogshit out of the football. However, unless he can make an impact playing on the defensive side of the ball, I don't really care about much more. This must be part of making sure every player gets a quick hit written about them. Can't wait for the story about how the Bengals are thinking about getting Tahj Brooks more chances so they can write something in his bio for the official site that isn't about his college stats. I mean he's on the cusp of actually reaching 50 yards rushing, totally demolishing last year's efforts, in 2026. C'mon Tahj, we believe in you !!! 1 Quote

Once Mike signed the big three, it appears the plan is just start as many guys on their price controlled rookie deals as possible. Not re-signing a non starter, a special teams ace, is just penny pinching to the nth degree. Quote

ArmyBengal Posted March 19 Report Posted March 19 I keep hearing talk about how aggressive the Bengals have been in free agency. If by aggressive they mean LAZY, then sure. Quote

ArmyBengal Posted March 23 Report Posted March 23 Just when you think that time between OTA's and camp is rough, I give you the month before the draft. No more big name signings to be made, nothing more than pro days and waiting. Oh and the occasional bargain basement addition right before the draft. Yawn... 1 Quote
Stripes Posted March 24 Report Posted March 24 Caleb Downs is my favorite prospect in the draft. Mock nerds are, more and more, allowing him to fall into the Bengals' laps. I know how this goes. They're right. He'll be available. And they'll draft Johnny Q. Penisface instead. 1 Quote
ArmyBengal Posted March 24 Report Posted March 24 Downs has been and continues to be my #1 as well. Are there others I like and be happy with? Sure. I could do that with almost any position being considered. Love Arvell Reece, but would be happy with Styles, Hill or Golday. Love Bain, but would be happy with Bailey or Mesidor. Love Delane, but would be happy with maybe 5-6 more CB's through the draft. LOVE Downs, but would be happy with Haulcy and maybe 3 more safeties through the draft. You guys get the point. My ONLY fear is that they simply go in a completely different direction when those guys are on the board. I absolutely HATE the DT class this year. I don't think there is even a single rookie starter among the group. Not Peter Woods (UGH) or even Kayden McDonald. They needed more than old ass Allen in free agency and came up short. If there is a trade to be made to help the interior of the D-line, I would be all for it. If I were betting, I would guess DT is going to be the weak point of the defense this year. Quote
