I am done with this team until Zac Taylor and his useless offensive scheme are fired along with Tobin.  I'm afraid you wont be seeing me around for a long while.

So the running game has sucked for years, thought maybe it was Joe Mixon trade him, nope running the same maybe worse.

O-Line sucks, every year they seem to try new guys, hell it was so bad they actually changed the coach, well it might be even worse then it’s ever been?

Defense sucks let guys go, draft new guys, not sure they are panning out, paid some new guys to come in, hell even fired the DC. Not sure if it’s any better at time maybe, but still seams lacking.

Joe Burrow beginning of the year still struggles, seems like he can’t read defenses in the beginning, dosnt get rid of the ball as fast, and now he is injured so not sure how that would pan out. Still guys are not ready to play it seems.

At what point though does all this go deeper. Zacs playcalling is lacking half the time. He seems to build the team one dimensional with passing in mind, so they can’t run block or run in general. This management seems to suck when signing guys/free agents. There drafts are terrible, they may hit on a guy or two but that it. I don’t know if a new head coach will fix shit, but for the love of God please change your scheme it’s not working, build a balanced team, not one just for passing it’s not working.

Not to mention realistically they should be 0-3

Well Zac at least stated today that there is a problem with the running game, and that they are not running away from it till they fix the problem. At least he told the truth there, they are not running from it, because they can’t freaking run!

Todays a good example of why Burrow is so well-paid. When the wheels come off like they did today, there’s no coming back without him.

Fire Zac? Sure, hell, fire everyone. But I’ll tell you now the same thing I told you when the cry was “fire Marvin”: we ain’t getting anyone better. They aren’t going to bring in anyone with a record of success, anyone who would want to do it their own way, not the Bengals way. Either it’s some already here (Golden if I had to bet) or another shlub like Taylor.

Besides I think Burrow would object and he gets a vote here.

Fire Duke Tobin? Would make my year, but we all know he will die in that job and then the FO will keep his corpse on for five more years to save money.

D had like half a good game but there’s only so much they could do. When the O turns over the ball 3 times in 4 plays, it’s over. They gave up? So did I. But now my car is clean and vacuumed so the day wasn’t a total loss.

Yea I agree Joe is a Zac guy for probably because Joe tells Zac what to do!

All I know is I got tired of Marvin, but he somehow took this team with Dalton to the playoffs behind Andy Dalton. Now he never went anywhere but he got them there. Either he knew how to build a better team, or they had better coaches, or somehow Duke and company were better at making a team.

If they built a team like they had in the Marvin era this team would have won the Super Bowl and kept going back to the playoffs.

Put up tree stands, washed my truck, went to the grocery store (price of coffee rising precipitously).

Marvin and Andy had Whit and some other good linemen.  Some bad ones too.  Currently, our pocket collapses so quickly mere mortals like Browning can’t do a damn thing.  Burrow can make heroic plays under these circumstances but it is apparent he is not indestructible.

The most galling thing is that the Brown family will just say business as usual, be quiet we hired two more scouts, and hey head on down to the Pro Shop in the stadium for the latest gear!

Oline is a mess. OBj had another rough outing today. Joe & Jake were wondering if he’s playing with an undisclosed injury.

Risner looks washed. A blocking sled would provide more protection. Unfortunately the two choices to replace him are a rookie or Cody Ford.

Karras…I was worried about him declining last season and I’m more worried now. Again tho depth is thin and inexperienced. The idea of Fairchild-Lee-Rivers manning the middle of the line is not appealing but I fear we may get there.

Yea what a mess! Crazy to say the other years o-lines seem to have been better and that’s not saying much.

So they have most if not very close to the most expensive offense in the league, and are now ranked 32nd in offense.

Pretty sure something needs to change, weather that’s with coaching or Zac giving up playcalling, or get an actual quarterback. Even though I’m not sure another QB behind this o-line will do anything.

As much money as they invested in these guys, you would think the higher ups would expect a little more, then again who knows

Very little accountability in the Bengals’ organization.  No one has clearly defined roles, so it’s tough to blame anyone.  Mike so clearly wants to avoid accountability that he refuses to give traditional titles or jobs to anyone.

A shockingly revealing article a month or two ago:  Personnel guys and agents talked about what it was like trying to discuss trades and other personnel matters with the bengals: even they did not know who to call, and when they did get ahold of someone, they’d have a discussion, only to discover later that the person they talked to couldn’t make any decision.  One quote went something like, the bengals seem to have 3 GMs.

Yea it’s amazing to me how these guys all of a sudden just forgot to block, or maybe this new o-line coach is worse than the other three guys they had. Worst thing is Karras just signed an extension.

Truthfully maybe it’s time to see what some of these young guys can bring, maybe try Lee at Center and move Karras to guard, not sure he would be any better at guard though.

Obj has  been horrible not sure what’s up with him either hopefully he finds his way back.

I’ll say this I saw something that showed how much money they have spent on the o-line and it was some big money. So can’t say they have not tried to fix it, just seems the whiff a lot with these moves and draft picks.

Actually we have four, remember? Tobin, Radicevic, Potts and Trey Brown. Everyone's a GM in Cincy!

Watched the first half of the game and moved on to better things.
What better things?  Thank you for asking.  Allow me to share...

6oz frozen lemonade
6oz frozen orange juice
2 cups of black tea
1 cup of sugar
6 cups of ice
2 1/4 cups of your favorite bourbon or whiskey (feel free to add more)

Blend together until slushy, sit back and forget that Burrow probably isn't playing this year.

You're welcome !!  Bring on week 3.  Or is it 4?  Whatever, bring it on !!

Watching the Ravens vs Ravens Monday night game.  Both these teams have players and it’s fun to watch good football like this.

Unfortunately one can’t mentally compare these teams to our bengals.  The effort these front offices put into finding their players pays off for them.  Our effort is not paying off.

Just read this new o-line coach had the worst o-line in 2024 with the Pats. lol well it shows here also, think this guy sucks as a coach. They really look like a poorly coached unit that looks lost and does not play physical. At this point bring Pollack back geez

Shit I’d fire this guy now, there is no way this team after one season and a couple new guys who one for sure has been proven forgot how to block. Fire this guy befofe it gets worse

Yea watching a bunch of teams this weekend just shows me this playcalling Zac is doing is really holding this team back. I was never on the fire Zac team to much, but something needs to change, either he gives up play calling or he changes the way he runs this offense.

We can say the front office didn’t do this or that, but holy crap this offense has so much talent, no way they should be struggling this bad. I know Jake struggled, but he did more the other year with less talent and a worse o-line on paper. Right now they are such a bad coached team it’s not even funny. Really hoping something changes soon

Ravens notables:  Lamar, Derrick Henry, Mark Andrews, DHop, Roquan Smith, Kyle Van Noy, Marlon Humphrey, Kyle Hamilton.  They’ve got players everywhere.

True but the Lions are how I wish the Bengals would have built the team around  Burrow. Awesome O-line, awesome running game, coaching staff is amazing and can coach. Sure they are not always perfect, and no team is, but they built this team through the draft and good free agents.  They lose all those coaches and don’t even blink, still so aggressive

Lions looked great tonight.  Started out getting stuffed on the run, but stayed with it and then it started working.

Yes the Ravens are 1-2.  We are leading the division at 2-1.  Neither of those records reflect where I think those two teams will end up.

One thing is for sure, I’m not looking forward to that Detroit game in two weeks.

Forget Detroit, MNF at Denver!

Primetime game away . . . I smell another onslaught coming!!

I was just playing the "Who's to blame" game Sunday, granted I was drinking...

That being said, there are two players specifically that have impacted this team and it's future.

Myles Murphy- I saw him make a tackle Sunday and was immediately reminded how much I hate him as a player.  The miss on the selection of Murphy has played a huge part in how we have ended up where we have with Trey.  If Murphy was half the player you would expect a first round draft pick to be, there would have been no contract standoff with Trey.  They could have moved on and went about their way.

Jermaine Burton- Two cent head issues were well known heading into the draft and why he fell the way he did.  Most thought he would be the heir apparent to Tee, but that never happened.  Instead, he's still a fucking idiot, but cannot crack the top 4 in the WR group.  Had he been able to make the best of his opportunity, Tee would have left in free agency, we would have saved that salary and we would be talking about our upcoming 3rd comp pick.

If there was a runner up to this group, I would add Dax Hill.  While I think he has played better this year, that's because he's finally healthy to get on the field.  Dude should be a linchpin in this defense at this point in time, but instead he's part of a group that I no longer hold out much hope for.

So my "Who's to blame" award to go the scouts and coaches who jumped up and down about these guys.

My runner up to that award goes to Zac Taylor.  I no longer care.  He's dead to me.
Get someone in here to call plays and focus on something else Zac.  I don't know, maybe fresh towels.
Someone that understands how to run the ball consistently and doesn't get cute.

And Zac Taylor former OC Brian Callahan  who went to the Titans and employed the same approach in calling offensive plays has decided to no longer do that after starting 0-3.

Didn’t take him long to figure out that might not be the best approach. Well that and trying to save his job, but more the first part.
