HoosierCat Posted August 18 Report Posted August 18 Early I know but we have news: Stefanski has tapped Bert to start against Cincy. https://www.10tv.com/article/sports/nfl/cleveland-browns-joe-flacco-starting-quarterback-week-1-matchup-cincinnnati-bengals/95-04b927d1-dffa-499e-9244-03a6d2134ac6 Quote
ArmyBengal Posted August 18 Report Posted August 18 We should win this game. That's all that I can really say about it however. Nothing would please me more than to see them go into Cleveland and skull drag those fuckers for four quarters. That being said, they probably win 24-21. 1 Quote

AMPHAR Posted August 20 Report Posted August 20 Browns have the ability to make it a grind it out game. Thus the Bengals need to put scoring pressure on the Flaco led offense to put the game on his shoulders. Start holding the ball and doing the dumb shit we saw vs. Washington taking a bad pass blocking rep and turning it into a 17 yard loss or a fumble is the dumb shit the all world QB needs to avoid. People don't like to say bad things about Joe Burrow but he has sucked in week 1 games the past 3 years. The defense will not be good enough week 1 to shoulder a bad offense and put the game on their back. If they lose a game with Cleveland scoring below 23 points then its on the offense, IMO. Is it fair, no. That's the way they are built and young defenders with new scheme probably isn't going to gel after less than 40 snaps which they don't give a fuck about anyway or looked as completely lost as they have. check it down all day long and for god sakes OL protect with 4 rushers and make them send 5/6 guys. HoosierCat Posted August 20 Author Report Posted August 20 CBS sports’s John Breech predicts Cincy gets off to a 4-0 start. https://www.cbssports.com/nfl/news/predicting-when-each-nfl-team-will-lose-its-first-game-steelers-outlast-almost-everyone-eagles-lose-early/ Quote
ArmyBengal Posted August 20 Report Posted August 20 You know, at this point in the season (off) one prediction is just as reasonable as another. 4-0 wouldn't shock me, but then again, neither would 2-2 or maybe worse. I like the positive thoughts though !! Quote
AMPHAR Posted Thursday at 12:21 PM Report Posted Thursday at 12:21 PM Those survivor pools are hilarious. It seems like almost half or more of the pool is out week 1. I'm sure the Bengals loss to the Pats rocked a bunch last year. There will be one or a couple games this season as well. Hopefully Bengals do get out to that 4-0 start. 1 Quote
COB Posted Thursday at 12:55 PM Report Posted Thursday at 12:55 PM We better do well the first four weeks. Weeks 5-7 are Lions, Packers, Steelers. That’s a pretty serious stretch right there, would love to win 2 of those. Quote
Allentown21 Posted Friday at 06:01 PM Report Posted Friday at 06:01 PM Opening day is always weird and I don't put much into it even though as fans we will That being said Cincinnati is my super bowl pick. I've said as a bills fan burrow is the best qb in the NFL and has been since 2021. I get the sense he's on a mission and the Bengals will have a historical year. Bengals 44 Browns 20 Quote

Are they really going to go with 4 Qbs on 53? Plus Watson on PUP? Quote
Stripes Posted Monday at 04:54 PM Report Posted Monday at 04:54 PM Gee, I wonder why the entire league passed on him four and a half times. 1 Quote
AMPHAR Posted Monday at 05:36 PM Report Posted Monday at 05:36 PM I'm sure its happened before but not often. Top 150 picks typically don't get exposed to Practice Squad the first year. I would think most make it on the active roster for at least 2 years. Quote
HoosierCat Posted Monday at 05:47 PM Author Report Posted Monday at 05:47 PM One name pops to mind: AJ McCarron. All the draftniks had him going in the second or third round, but he ended up falling to the fifth round because he was a cocky a**hole in interviews. Then you had a loud contingent of fans agitating for him over Dalton, hanging "AJ to AJ is the future!" banners at practices, etc. Apparently Sanders has an even bigger pack of rabid backers who have made Stefanski's life miserable. AMPHAR Posted Monday at 05:56 PM Report Posted Monday at 05:56 PM AJ had some sort of shoulder injury or so the story goes. Quote
HoosierCat Posted Monday at 06:02 PM Author Report Posted Monday at 06:02 PM Yah, that was the excuse for stashing him on IR to start. Meanwhile, as we wait for cuts, the Hendrickson rumor mill continues to churn. Apparently they are now kicking around a one-year deal. Fine by me, just get it done. Quote
AMPHAR Posted Monday at 06:32 PM Report Posted Monday at 06:32 PM 1 year deal would be the KC/Chris Jones approach after he sat out the 1st game. Quote
Stripes Posted Monday at 07:08 PM Report Posted Monday at 07:08 PM There's no better way to realize the prophecy of resolving Trey's 2025 contract dispute and preparing for Trey's 2026 contract dispute. Quote
AMPHAR Posted Monday at 07:30 PM Report Posted Monday at 07:30 PM Trey puts up good stats when hunting for a contract. 1 Quote
ArmyBengal Posted Monday at 09:06 PM Report Posted Monday at 09:06 PM I don’t really care what they do at this point. I’m just sick of hearing about it from any perspective. Either get it done or move on. I can no longer bring myself to care any more. Next Quote
AMPHAR Posted Monday at 09:29 PM Report Posted Monday at 09:29 PM Trey is DONE! According to Ian Rapoport. Or I guessing closing in on it. Quote
ArmyBengal Posted Monday at 09:29 PM Report Posted Monday at 09:29 PM Sounds like they agreed to a one year deal. Fucking fantastic. Run it back again in 2026. Quote
WelshBengal Posted Monday at 09:40 PM Report Posted Monday at 09:40 PM Anyone want to hazard a guess who's getting the tag next year if he balls out in 2025 Quote
ArmyBengal Posted Monday at 10:06 PM Report Posted Monday at 10:06 PM The Bengals kill me. Seriously. Quote
