AMPHAR Posted July 16 Report Posted July 16 Shemar and his representation started off stupid and its just a question of how long they remain there. 1. He could have and should been on the field in mini camp. Him practicing would not have prevented any negotiating. 2. Now if the reporting is true. 20 teams use the clause. Its new to the Bengals. The clause doesn't change the over all value of the contract. Now its mental midgets and lawyer wannabees splicing hairs of "Well its new to the Bengals" or "Well he isn't getting the same structure". The last report with from Rapport seemed like he was dumb founded by the Shemar camp's stance because there is very little to be gained. As people continue to dig in and find more truth about the situation the worse off he'll be from a perception standpoint. Because at the end of the the day the Bengals aren't the ones being unreasonable in this situation. 1 Quote
TJJackson Posted July 19 Report Posted July 19 I said this was a shit pick from the moment they made it and that was before the kid, who desperately needs snaps, decided to hold out and miss snaps Im done with this kid. Done. Go way, Shemar. Yes, the front office is to blame as well Yes, the agent is to blame as well dont care.....take control of YOUR fucking life and YOUR fucking career or just go the fuck away in the immortal words of Armybengal: Fuck you, Ocho Shemar 1 Quote
AMPHAR Posted July 25 Report Posted July 25 Supposedly he signed. Going off unconfirmed reports. Quote
ArmyBengal Posted July 25 Author Report Posted July 25 It’s widely reported now. $18.97 fully guaranteed $10.4 signing bonus I haven’t seen anything about the language the Bengals wanted. Curious about what was or wasn’t agreed to. Quote
AMPHAR Posted July 25 Report Posted July 25 Report is the clause is in there. They gave an extra $550K in the bonus. Predictable. Clown of an agent went nuclear over a common negotiable item back in mandatory camps. Lost. Couldn't tuck his tail and show up the first week so they throw him a little something so he can say he won. Quote
Stripes Posted July 25 Report Posted July 25 The language is there. $500K of the signing bonus was moved up to today instead of December to compromise (per Pelissero). Cool. Stupidity over. Go get reps. Quote
TJJackson Posted July 26 Report Posted July 26 i dont care. I am done with this prick. Calling BUST now. right now If I am wrong Ill make COB a spicey italian sub Quote

Him , big trey and Murphy along with jenkins inside are going to close out teams because the Bengals are going to be running up the score on teams... Quote
ArmyBengal Posted July 26 Author Report Posted July 26 Man I wish I had your optimism !! Anyway, yes, Stewart should fire his stupid ass agent. If for no other reason than being a little bitch. 1 Quote

While I’m hopeful, I have just as many reasons to believe the defense is going to be a massive shitshow as opposed to a top half of the league unit. There are questions with both Stone and Battle at the safety spot. CB has potential but issues with returning from injuries and two cent heads. The DE’s are a mess right now with nothing being a definitive. The LB corps lost two veterans and are replaced with rookies and a probable overachieving (last year) free agent. I like the DT’s, but are hoping for continued improvement. I really liked the Golden hire as DC but have no idea how it’s going to work out. Im hoping all of it comes together and they have a top 15 unit. If that happens, this team becomes VERY scary. If, hope, pray and potential can also blow up in your face. Rooting for the best !! In other words, he did his job. The Bengals could have, and should have, done this from the start. If they had, none of this drama would have happened. But they had to try and swing their little dicks around and weeks of bad press and distraction was the result. If there’s a little bitch in all this, they’re in the Bengals’ FO. 1 Quote

Even if the defense is like 18-20th in pts and yds allowed, that's still enough imo for Cincinnati to get to the Superbowl The ots must stay healthy tho or at the very least 1 ot stats healthy and rivers or Ford fills in But I think you should be optimistic. AMPHAR Posted July 26 Report Posted July 26 Each year stands on its own. The Bengals lost so many 1 score games you can point to a number of factors. For me, 1. Defense 2. They lost so many key and critical fumbles/TOs at the wrong time 3. They were on the wrong side of the whistle and I don't think it evened out. I think this year there's a ton of young defenders that have flashed but not consistent. IMO, Tobin should be on the hot seat with these guys. Their development holds the keys to a Burrow return to the Superbowl. Quote
AMPHAR Posted July 26 Report Posted July 26 You aren't going to find a whole lot of optimism with this board. I would have loved the Stewart pick in the 2nd round. I don't like having to read film nerd and do film nerd shit for a first round pick. I'll just say Shemar is downgraded by fans that because of his stats. However, if you look at the Texas A&M DL stats. None are impressive. That sack leader on the DL had 5. I think he should be able to contribute just by over running guards/tackles with natural ability. Whether or not he gets those stat figures so fans can sign off on the pick. I don't know. Could be a Lawson. Lawson could rush the passer a whole lot of pressures but few sacks. Quote

If there’s a little bitch in all this, they’re in the Bengals’ FO. That’s just as plausible and even probable. I don’t know why I bother to even concern myself with this nonsense every year. The fact that it literally is EVERY year is really pointed. I should take the wake me when August gets here at the end of every season approach. 1 Quote
ArmyBengal Posted July 27 Author Report Posted July 27 If Shemar is half of what Atkins was when wearing 97, it should be fun to watch. I’m really rooting for him. Big kid, athletic as hell, said to be smart and his own harshest critic, always wanting to improve. Just get Trey in here and maybe optimism will come. lol… Quote
